I am a member of a couple Facebook groups (under own name and not the channel name) that you contribute to, and I've really enjoyed what you've posted. I'd be honored to join a chat if the group would like me to participate. I'm not sure what I could contribute that the members of your chat aren't already familiar with, but I can at least talk about what I screwed up and lessons I had to learn the hard way!

Nice! Thanks Elder Pinto! You should join us for one of these! I think JD's plan is to do it every week. The problem is he's in Canada and he keeps scheduling it at 2am our time. If it was at a reasonable hour would you like to do it some time? I love the community building aspect of it.

Yeah me too! I didn't have a chance to say it by Sierra Nevada is my favorite beer and my dad's side of my family is from Port Royal Kentucky. And my wife and I have friends that live near there. In fact it's my wife's co-worker that she works with remotely every day. They had moved to LA and went back to Kentucky during the pandemic and never went back to LA. Interesting stuff going on with technology, remote working and reverse migration out of the the big cities!
It’s a small world !!! Maybe you’ll have a cold one next chat. I just felt like hanging out. We’re at the watchmakers pub talking watchmaking. I did feel bad for not having my lathe out. I’d put it away because I’ve been working on lathes and a watch cleaning machine.

@@IMakeWatches I've been blessed with some free tools. Chris mentioned in the last chat that he didn't have any bench keys, so I thought I would bless him with my extra set as I have enjoyed his videos.

When I was 13 growing up in Boulder, Colorado my CO2 powered pinewood derby car won first prize for aesthetics and second prize for speed. My pride in that has given me confidence throughout my life. I love it that you've made a business out of supporting that small but important part of American culture! 😀
@@IMakeWatches Small world, that's for sure! I grew up in Colorado (mostly around Aurora) and CU Boulder is my alma mater. With Pinewood Derby, I turned a hobby into a full time business. Not getting rich off of it, but it pays the bills. A CO2 car was only 2nd place? I built a RC propeller powered car for an "Outlaw" race, once. Blew the other cars away. Literally so for the car with feathers glued to it! It is enjoyable helping the kids build their cars and race them.
@@gpraceman I studied EE and filmmaking at CU from 1981 - 1987. Finally got out with a degree in creative writing! My C02 car was racing other CO2 cars and the race timing systems weren't as good back then! 😂😂😂
How about email ? I’ve gotten so used to communicating using Facebook because you can chat and share photos and videos. But email work as well.
