Thanks a lot for the nice video - could you maybe also create a small guide for unholy dk for arena? If possible I would like to know the minimum caps to hit (164 hit, 135 spell pen, expertise??) and which damage rotation you choose. Can you also explain to me why you use blood tap almost always instantaniously? Also I'm having issues using my Gargoyle correctly I feel. Much appreciated!
yo, i think i won't make an unholy guide at this point, there is some good guides for unholy pvp from other people already if you search it on yt, containing most basic infos and even some advanced stuff, so i decided its not worth to make and wrath in classic won't last that long anymore for it to be worth to make, sry :o guides, even small guides take more time than a usual video cause of the explaining and structuring and more cutting etc., so for unholy PvP the next guide i would rather look at cata, maybe after or during beta :d but i will still answer your questions: 164 hit, 135 spellpen cap for unholy correct; expertise has no cap in PvP, it is useful to reduce a bit of dodge/parry chance sometimes, if enemy players are not stunned or not hit from behind, but it is not needed and it has roughly same value as all the other offstats (Crit and haste a bit better for Unholy overall, allthough for example, the Thrice Fang Signet Ring with Haste has less Str compared to the expertise one, so it evens out). For rotation, i rly recommend u to check out one of the alrdy existing unholy pvp guides on youtube, its not too complicated, but i can give u in short: Get ur diseases up with Chains for slow or Icy Touch if you dont need slow and a bit of dmg, blood strike/blood boil or pestilence (if you wanna spread diseases) for bloodrunes and repeat if you just farm runic power or ur diseases/chains gets removed. For Burst u try to use the Unholy/Frost runes for Scourge Strikes while ur Diseases alrdy up and Bloodstrike versus Cloth or for a weapon proc and Blood Boil versus higher armor. U dump the runic power u get after spending ur runes with Deathcoils, either in start one to protect ur Diseases from getting spam dispelled, but usually u spam Deathcoils while ur runes on CD after u spend them, Deathcoil is one of the best dmg sources in PvP. If you out of meele range and have runes rdy, you can use Death and Decay too, but it depends a bit on the situation if enemy team is stacked and if u think they will run out of it fast or forced to stay in it cause they pillar alot. I wouldnt worry about it too much in start and just use Death and Decay to build runic power/combat status around corners or maybe finding some stealth with it. Corpse Explode is another spell i wouldnt worry about too much in start, you can explode ur pet with macro target=pet, for same runic power cost as a Deathcoil and it does a bit more burst, but also takes longer, im not even sure if id still recommend to play with Corpse Explode at this point, so you can skip it for now and maybe if u secure can later try Corpse Explode on ur Pet, but enemy needs to be stunned to not move and it can be kicked, which allmost everyone does by now in Arena so its tricky. The most important thing is that you use all ur burst while an enemy is in stun/cc and u might wanna keep high runic power before u tell ur Pala mate to stun, Priest mate to fear etc., cause for Unholy DK the biggest dmg rly comes from Deathcoil, Deathcoil, Deathcoil, with maybe one or two Scourge Strikes/Blood Runes and then you need Runic Power again xd so timing is more important than the spells itself. Its also why i use Blood Tap like this, it generates 10 Runic Power and has no GCD rly useful for alot of situation, so if i can force enemy CD like bubble with the extra 10 runic power i might use it even if i dont need a Rune. (or to get RP for AMS, Death Pact, IBF fast etc.). Alot of times i also use it insta to spam slow again, if needed, as enemies usually spam dispell Chains slow and u only have 2 Frost Runes. Horn of Winter is similar, has a low CD and you can use it even if you have the Horn Buff, just to get the Runic Power from it, alltho it has a GCD unlike Blood Tap. For Gargoyle its similar to timing the other Burst, use it when u think you can get a good opportunity together with ur Palas Hoj or other mates CC or dmg support and if you have high runic power already, just use it a bit in advance before u go with ur mate, cause it takes time to deploy. Ideally you time it with ur trinket and Fallen Crusader procs, but imo the situation is more important than the procs, so if enemies are ready to kite it or interrupt it, or if it looks like you cant get pressure with it, maybe wait (also if your mate is not ready to assist you with dmg/cc and dispelling shackled/tun evil Garg etc. etc.). This can only be learned by playing alot of games and reading the situation, there is a fine line between holding your Garg for the right moment und not using it frequently enough to use the CD efficiently. You can try wait for ur Chance and maybe use it when enemies are distracted, already struggling a bit, or trying to go for a kill themself, but in the end i feel like it depends more on ur enemies and not u, if it is a good Gargoyle (other than Trinket procs, and not popping Gargoyle right in a meeles face for interrupt, or on top of Blades Edge Bridge and target jumps down, that is some of the examples where its more up to you and not ur enemies.) In the end, if a comp with alot of Heals and CDs like Warr/Pal or Rog/Disc wants to lame every Gargoyle, then they absolutely can.

I see in some earlier talent builds for frost you used to give up bladed armor to get a shorter CD on Death Grip but now you don't go that route? Is that because bladed armor is too strong to pass up on now later in the expansion?
