I thought you couldn't buy any 80 pvp gear until you're 80? You can max out your honor leveling to 80, but that's only going to be good for a couple items. And if you are mainly pvping to level, you will be honor capped way before you are 80.
Apart from the wrists, I'm not seeing the furious gladiator gear available for honor points. Am I missing something? I'm a feral tank and so these pieces are fantastic.
I play on a fully progressed private server and right now the Battered Hilt cost 12-16k lol Swear to God I've run FoS, PoS, HoR like 100 times and never even seen it drop xD Wonder if they'll make the drop rate a bit higher on Blizz servers compared to the one I play on, but it's 2010 WoTLK Blizzlike xD

The main problem with what you are saying is that although there are places were you can theoretically level up your gear, in practice, you won't find opportunuties because everyone is either geared, or not interested. Ex. : - You *could* spam hc+ for raid gear, but thr only groups you will find, are the ones for the daily heroic, so from 15 sources, you are down to 1. - You *could* do VoA to gear up on previous phases loot, but you won't find a group that is going to do more than the latest boss, and call it - *You could* join 10 men raids to get BiS, but either you won't be invited because your level score is too low, or you will all be so low and clueless you won't do hard mode (or even finish the instance) I think you get my point. A piece of advice that doesn't apply to real world scenarios,... is a bad piece of advice. There is no magic formula. You gotta join a raiding guild, progress every phase, perhaps get one SR or MS per week, and grind your way through several months, as everybody else. Getting shortcuts will always be the exception, rather than the rule.
Form your own HC+ groups and also VoA groups, it's a bit more work but I've noticed that the groups come up much faster that way (especially if you're playing warlock for example). Atm 6 toons at lvl80, 3 of which are over 4.8k GS - 2 of em are in different guilds and the last one is about 1-2 resets into lvl80 and only been pugging on it... So it is possible, tho it will req a bit more work, maybe some item crafting and a touch of luck ofc
The only way to gear up enough is to build enough of a market to buy the prebis 200 gear and hope that a competent guild exists. If not then you are stuck with the mentality that there is nothing more because the bridge is impossible to traverse unless you sign a pact with a competent guild that requires your time and energy to be able to make due with.

You can't gear up because nobody runs normal heroics and when you try to run heroic+ even with decked out pvp gear theres the chance you get a party leader that basically says you are unfit to run even though its 7% dps drop from bis dps which isn't that bad to be honest. Essentially it is impossible to get the gear at this point unless you dedicate yourself to a guild with your time only to realize that this is what the game has been reduced to in order to progress any further. Other than that nobody is running heroics you try to go the pvp route you'll get denied in raids for sure and theres the small chance you get to enter a heroic +
Every game where you got items or talents, even card games have a best in slot list. It is called competitive gaming and if you wanna rank up in LoL or hearthstone or wow you got people who create a meta. If there are 10 items for the helm slot, someone will calculate which item is the best in your current gearing state. And btw you don't have a single set of best gear, there is always option b and c. All classes have different BiS lists and it always depends on your current equipment. If you are hit capped, the item with hit rating in your bis list is probably worse than a dungeon item with other stats. Gearing is not black and white. :)

As a fresh 80, they are very good for pre raid pieces with extremely little effort to obtain. Also come next phase if you dedicate the time and effort(and atleast 1 friend) in arena and get your rating up, you can get 25man hardmode equivalent ilvl weapons. Given that is much more of a skill grind for those weapons compared to RNG....and your guilds ability to even kill the hardmode bosses for said weapons. But atleast it's a guaranteed way to a weapon

All pve pre raid gear is better thsn the pvp peices you can get without arena points. They will get you into raids but pvp gear is not pre raid level of gearing

No offence… I’m always cringing at healers that have their raid frames somewhere in upper corner of the screen 😅 not speaking of not using either mouse over macros or healbot. In my opinion so much unnecessary clicks and mouse movement and a lot of downtime
My guild is so frustratingly bad with Yogg mechanics. Just awful. And very few signs of improvement after 25 attempts. It really feels like madness after a while. I would bet a large sum of money we will not down Algalon until P3.

Yeah you cant buy gear before 80 you can cap your honor at 75k but as you said buy 1-3 pieces

Three times dropped for me. Got two actually in Forge of Souls, was lucky af tho. Saw one more in Pit of Saron but lost it due poor roll.
