Found the same thing with a kids AR15 from Wish - 400mm was the sweet spot. So it went from a crap 9cm plastic barrel manual blaster barely making 12m to an accurate blaster with a tighter longer barrel and a bit stiffer spring to 25m accurate. Which now resembles a Sniper Blaster with the barrel flat matte black. Has a 20mm rail on top so wacked a Holographic on it....MUCH fun lol
I'm sold, after Xmas present me thinks, already blown the budget for this year.

What upgraded size piece would you recommend to replace the stock fish bone on the m4a1 for the 35cm barrel? Gotta have something to cover the inner barrel so it doesn’t stick out right?

Yo @Low Guido's Chop Shop - Do you have a 'Guido's mathamagician' formula for working out usable cylinder volume?
I'm assuming pi x Rsq. x L will only give you Total Cylinder volume if you know its dimensions but some of that isn't used due to piston/ladder/plunger real estate inside the cylinder. Is it too nerdy to want that much accuracy/detail?
Just like when they sell 100%, 80%, 60% cylinders -- 100%, 80%, 60% of??? What's the actual usable volume??

ok I will.
Whilst it seems that tightbore barrel DOES increase FPS, you're going to have to show us some hop-up action. Because from the looks of it, there's no real benefit. UNLESS, we were using solid ammo, not gel.
I really appreciate the fact you did go out of your way and bought one of these barrels to show us! Looking Forward to the hop-up test.
I appreciate that it is hard to visually see from this video, but I am still not sure how you have managed to draw that conclusion. I will however put a hopup on and re-test
@@lowguidoschopshop Oh it just looks like the spread seemed sporadic regardless. I did notice the first barrel, the balls were breaking a lot easier though.
@@thenoodlehunter6828 did you watch part one? Looks like a lot better grouping when the fps was increased compared to the first video using a standard gearbox.
I thought it was pretty impressive grouping considering he's firing gels without a hop up.

@@Venomous734 Just finished watching it. Part one did the barrel more justice. I really now want to see if Hop-Up would make it shoot more laser shots.
So everyone is talking about FPS from muzzle but has anyone checked what it is from as little as 10m away from muzzle or 20m to see the FPS drop compared to a smaller mw gel ball that weighs a bit less moving at 360fps compared to larger 8 mm ball moving 360fps cause you want the one that has the punch down range!
My gen 9 shoots 270-280fps from muzzle but with a chrony about 16m away it’s hitting at 130- 140 FPS big loss but what do the smaller lighter balls moving quicker do ??
so if a ball exits as the same velocity gravity is the exact same however you may get a little less air resistance so technically it might cut through the air but if its too light the air resistance will have more of an impact on the gell ball so it will most likely equal out my dude

All good, I found out. It's the same gun, the 009 just comes with an adjustable laser and does not have the side pic. rails. Otherwise the same. @@lowguidoschopshop

barrel length on a well m4 is 32.6cm, whats 4mm among friends so i am ordering a 33 cm barrel for mine.
So this is full original m4a1 ? No change motor or anything? And it from original 220fps to 300fps ?

@@alfaholic3 So the Well M4 buffer fits onto the Gen9? Does it work the other way too? Trying to find out if the Gen9 buffer fits the Well M4
@@uss717hamptonify not the buffer tube just the stock. It has a bit of play but it works alright. I found some nice aftermarket stocks for the Gen8 and it worked nicely. The Gen8 and wells buffer tubes wont fit a J9 without appropriate adaptors/modifications though.

I've ordered most of the parts to build a gel a ball sniper from novritsch.com/ and what im doing is fabricating some of my own parts and modifying some of Novristch's parts to accept the gel balls
(basically im making an op bolt action gel rifle)

@@lowguidoschopshop well it will be if i do it right and if i get a cnc machine and an injection molding machine, i might be able to produce the part needed for the rifle to accept the gel balls

Most hopups available on the market are designed for 300 fps according to a few of the websites that sell them. Perhaps he could get something meant for an airsoft gun.

About 20-30 dollars ... Depending on length and type of barrel .... Plus postage
33cm barrel for my nwell M4 is $53 for steel and $28 for gold series, plus $11.30 postage
since the gold series is cheaper and 7.1 mm instead of 7.2 i am going for gold.
i am waiting on parts to do a full gearbox rebuild on it any way.
