I’ve never seen anyone showing how to remove the decorations. Great idea! Heat guns are much more efficient and quicker.

@@najahbritt3718 Not in my experience. Take lots of pictures before you move in, then the same for after you've moved and cleaned. You get your deposit if you don't do any damage beyond normal wear and tear. If there is a "small thing" then they can only keep a reasonable amount for the repair, not your whole deposit. It matters if money matters to you!

At my last apartment I did the kitchen cabinets and panels along the kitchen. The leasing office loved it and asked me to keep it in and they gave me a $250 discount on my last rent. I'm sure they charged the next renter a "renovated" unit rent 😂

Contact paper isn't a permanent lasting solution that is durable in comparison to actual countertops or tile.
Never knew how to remove contac paper. Now, at 76, I know how. As I always rent this is important info.

Would this be the same technique you would use to remove the shower light? He wants to show us this portable light that we could put up in our shower I’ve been trying to find that video. I believe I/we use gorilla tape to put it up. Thank you for sharing your different tricks and tips.
😬gorilla tape, I personally never use that tape. I like nano tape.

there's a product called awesome that I get at the dollar store it clean stove and remove a sticky stuff everything try that if you get it in your area

Heat will leave a sticky residue. And you want to pull it flat against itself, not straight out like she did
We used contact paper on a rental bathroom counter top. If looked do much better than the scratched up one that was there. We left the contact paper.
Landlord never complained.
They probably didn't notice until their new tenant complained about the landlord trying to be cheap and not replacing the countertops and just hiding it instead. Seriously, what would YOU think if you suddenly realized your counter was covered in contact paper in your new apartment? You'd probably wonder what else he was hiding. Don't make that choice for people.
@@ambrr_lily ,He was cheap. Never bought a new element for the oven, fixed one burner element. Used a hallway closet as the vent for central air and heat but left it open to the attic. I couldn't put anything lightweight on the shelf or the vent would suck it into the attic. You get the picture. He ignored complaints. My husband got him to give him the paint and finished painting the bathroom so it looked good enuf to inhabit.
@@dinahkruppa913 contact paper is not the same durability as actual countertop or tile, so it is problematic if someone thought it was authentic or, at least, a more durable copy
I never fully stick mines to the wall I made decorative button girl so I get the pretty thumbtacks either make them
