Being that all of our sister locations were all free standing buildings, our location was anchored within a international Mall that was bonded with a God like level of corporate governance. So we would then joined forces to protect our store from falling into chaos. To bad we didn’t have TH-cam back in those days… we missed our calling because that place had so much unique content. Now my dear Lady Jessica, have you seen part 2 of this saga? 😅

Oh, I had my own encounter with Karen when I was in customer service for a shipping company. Lady calls in and wants to file a report against one of our drivers for speaking on the phone while driving, so I ask for the truck number, she says she can't see it. So I ask for the street name to figure out which truck it is by route, and she says she doesn't know at the moment, because she is DRIVING... I just pretended to to file the comolaint from that point onwards. 🤦🏻♂️
I once worked at a cellphone store and was told I was to be manager when mine up and left. Turned out 2-3 weeks later owner said nope over district manager ruling. But in the time I was in charge, had two Karen's ask for a manager and I enjoyed every savory second them telling me they need to speak to the manager. My reaction was shit eating grin, crossed arms and said the magical words. "You are. How can I help you?" They were PISSED.

As a low-level manager in customer service myself... I loved that our man here immediately did the noble thing and sent the staff out of harms way. In my movie theater, the Karens only get to yell at me and not any innocent cashier.

Oh, I had my own encounter with Karen when I was in customer service for a shipping company. Lady calls in and wants to file a report against one of our drivers for speaking on the phone while driving, so I ask for the truck number, she says she can't see it. So I ask for the street name to figure out which truck it is by route, and she says she doesn't know at the moment, because she is DRIVING... I just pretended to to file the comolaint from that point onwards. 🤦🏻♂️

I once worked at a cellphone store and was told I was to be manager when mine up and left. Turned out 2-3 weeks later owner said nope over district manager ruling. But in the time I was in charge, had two Karen's ask for a manager and I enjoyed every savory second them telling me they need to speak to the manager. My reaction was shit eating grin, crossed arms and said the magical words. "You are. How can I help you?" They were PISSED.

Not sure what is going on with the writers these days, but bored started off showing how corporate retail is often in the wrong.
