The Suzuki V Strom is a user friendly everyday motorcycle, so mush fun to ride. Point it at a corner and next you know it you are around it. For a bike that cost less than 10K there is a lot of tech on this bike. You can pay more by specking it up. But the base platform is a fantastic machine to start off with. Well that was probably the best and most informative bike tests I have watched. No bull just all the info you could want when wanting to know about a new bike. All areas covered like fit, finish, build quality, handling, brakes etc.Well done and will watch out for future tests.
Hi Tony. Thank you very much. Really appreciate you taking the time to make your comment. I sometimes feel like I fall short. So your comment made my day! Glad you enjoyed my review. 😁👍 Murt
Thanks for reviewing this onroad version. Hope Suzuki updates and makes the color schemes on 2025 models more exciting.
Thanks for your message! Glad you enjoyed the video! What colours would you like to see? 😁👍
I'd love an RE in the Yellow and Blue colours of the DE
Ah someone else who likes yellow. I love it. 😁👍
@@the_mad_leprechaun Classic suzuki white/blue or silver/blue should be a failproof choice. The 1050XT's retro white/orange is sick too.
Needs cruise control, looks like an ideal multi purpose bike, I might change from my DL 650 if they add cruise. Great video. subbed.
Thank you very much. More stuff on the way soon. Honestly go test ride one you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for watching! Ride safe! 👍
Bought one last month, same colour. Givi AirFlow dedicated screen is really helping out. LED headlamp is rather poor, added Puig Beam 2.0 dlr lights for better visibility. Otherwise it is great bike. I also have plastic plate mounted under the engine.
Hello Matt. You are not the first to say that the lights are poor. Interesting that you went for a bigger screen too! Well you have to make it your own! I enjoyed it hope you enjoy yours! Ride safe. Murt
Nice looking bike, been a while since you rode a suzuki.
Really good review - thanks. I like the bike but agree it could use some better colours / graphics perhaps with some gold wheels thrown in for good measure!
Thank you very much Oscar240z 😁 for your message and support much appreciated. Gold wheels always look great 👍 totally agree! I am testing one with Gold wheels today! 😁 please do tune in again to find out what!! 😁👍 Murt
Very good review 🎉
Thank you very much! 👍😁
This is the type of bike I should be riding. A tiny bit shorter than you but always struggling for leg comfort.
Its a nice bike with probably one of the best middle capacity parallel twin engines.
I'm one of those who doesn't like the stacked headlight I'm afraid
Thanks for the look at the Suzuki
Thank you Richard! You won’t like what I’m going to ride today then either! 😆 thank you for your support as always!
@@the_mad_leprechaun the 8S???
@Banditmanuk DE! 👍
Nice review, can you please tell me what make/model your crash helmet is?
Hello Peter. Shoei Hornet ADV. fantastic helmet but very hot in the summer. Very light ventilation! Thank you for watching. Murt
I know you mentioned this near the end of your (excellent) review, but thought I’d double check: The bike was tall enough so your knees didn’t ache? (I’m 6’3” with 36” inseam.)
Also: was it top heavy? Or easy to maneuver when stopped?
Hello Alan. Thank you very much for your message. Keep in mind I have these bikes for about 2 hours. My knees didn’t feel cramped and I really did find the bike comfortable. Also the bike felt really easy to manoeuvre around at low speed. Out of the 2 bikes I tested. DE and RE I preferred the DE! Hope that helped. Murt 👍
@@the_mad_leprechaun Perfect. Thanks much!
You are welcome! Don’t forget to subscribe! 😆 😆 😆
@@the_mad_leprechaun Subscribed! Thanks again.
Good morning Sr.
Thanks for the test and congratulations for your channel.
I'm looking for this motorcycle and the new bmw f 800 gs.
¿How you see this v strom 800 tech for "daily" and maneuverability when stopped?.
I would like your opinión about this suzuki model.
Send you a hug from Canary Island, Spain.
The New Gs 900 is an amazing bike but too expensive to take off road far more powerful than the V Strom. Having said that there is nothing wrong with the V Strom 800 RE or DE! The engine on the Suzuki has less power but is very useful friendly and fun to ride. Tech is easy to use.
Hope that helps. Hugs from the UK 😘👍
@@the_mad_leprechaunYes, thanks for your kindness. Greetings to UK!!!!.
👍
Great video Murt, bought my Bandit form Tony, really nice fella got great px on my old Transalp aswell, great dealership.
Hello Barry! Yep 100% totally agree with you. Very friendly and helpful bunch of guys. Glad you enjoyed what I put together. If the weather behaves I’m hopefully getting out on the DE this week! Thanks for watching. 😁👍
Info about consumption would be interesting seeing that you rev the engine low
Hello thank you for your message. I did mention fuel consumption! 🤔 👍
@@the_mad_leprechaun then I'm sorry. Missed it. Will watch again
Seriously contemplating a new one of these,, iv got a 2020 v strom 650 xt atm with only 6000 miles on it, its a great bike but a little under powered at times.
I was able to pull illegal speeds no problem with the 776cc engine! Really pleasurable bike to ride. More than enough technology on it. Go have a test ride. 👍🏍️
KTM had single cylinders way into the early 2010s
Thank you! 👍
A comment as requested. 🤝🏼
Ha ha ha!!!! Why thank you so very much!! 😆👍
