OMG, Dragonkin got perfected! That is exactly how I wanted to see it work. There's a functional resemblance to Demon, but Dragonkin now makes use of the existing systems and it's no longer possible to pick up an item that increases Max HP more than it costs. This is awesome.
The only way to really prosper with DK is to restrain your urge to empty your wallet in the shop. Figure on leaving the shop with 30 or so materials in your pocket in order to get those 10 max HP you need for the next round. If you survive, you'll need to continue to save more and more materials at the end of the shop to have enough HP to go on.

Aa far as mods go, i got it done with enterpreneur+diversified.
Was still though, but the modern+support harvesting scale helps a lot
