    With a capacity of 1500 people per train, a unit every three minutes and a lower number of commuters than pre-Covid due to WFH arrangements I think it's safe to say that no capacity improvements will need to be made within the next few years.

      Tough to say, travelled aboard one of these units from paddington to Tottenham court road the other day and it was very busy!

    I was hoping for it to of opened in December 2018 but then it got delayed until 24th May 2022. And I am so happy that it’s now finally opened and in service except it won’t run on Sundays at the moment.

    As I've been a SaarfEast Lundunner for the last decade or so, I took the bus from Bexleyheath to Abbey Wood to ride the Elizabeth Line Line the day before you. Amazed at how busy Paddington was at about 1pm, but it was the start of Half Term for many.
    Didn't get any wi-fi even though it is meant to be wi-fi enabled - or is that down to my incompetence?
    Trains seemed to have more sideways seating than airline seating...........
    Trains quieter than the whistling Thameslink and City Beam stock.
    Still feel that Abbey Wood is an absurd place to terminate.

      Didn't know they had WiFi, Roy? The seats are annoying but it's only for short trips luckily.

      They plan on extending it from Abby Wood down to Gravesend in the 2030's (If Approved).

      So you could go all the way from reading to Gravesend? Surely they'd need to add a toilet or something to the trains?

      @@danielstripreports Wish they would but I can't imagine TFL doing that. Think you'll just have to make a pitstop at the stations :/

    • @danielstripreports

      @@billydoesstuff6059 tbf there are trains every 5 minutes on average, so it wouldn't be a big deal, however I would much rather change at Charing cross for a southeastern service, don't really get the point as tfl is TRANSPORT FOR LONDON not Kent.

    Only certain stations have level boarding.

      Oh, I thought it was all, as they're all newly built, my bad.

    The volume levels of the speech vary. Sometimes I cannot make it loud enough to hear and then it becomes too loud,

      Sorry, some of the in-person shots are a little quieter than I had wanted, feedback is noted.

    Do you know the top speed of the trains in tunnels? In my experiences they seem pretty quick! Nice vid!

    • @danielstripreports
      @danielstripreports  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate glad you enjoyed, top speed is 90mph I believe

      Is 60 in tunnels

    • @marvinthemartian9598
      @marvinthemartian9598 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's actually 62mph in the core section from paddington lower level to Abbey wood. In certain areas as low as 50mph though, like through connought tunnel for example.
