Thanks for taking me up on my advice to do this song next after "Addicted to that rush" 😁 Their remaining biggest hits for you to react to would be the excellent pop metal ditty "Green-tinted sixties mind", the tender power ballad "Just take my heart" (in the video, Billy Sheehan plays a six-string bass with a neck as wide as a cutting-board!), and the Cat Stevens cover "Wild world". The latter, coincidentally, was recorded because their record company REALLY wanted another song like "To be with you"; but since the band did not like writing any type of song on demand, they preferred to reinterpret someone else's song instead: once more with great success.
I would also like to strike a blow for the song "Undertow", the lead single from their 2011 comeback album "What if ..." - without a doubt one of the greatest comeback albums in rock history. The band had broken up in 2002 due to Eric Martin and Billy Sheehan having had a falling out. But the two's friendship was rekindled greater than ever, after Eric reached out to Billy with a request. Eric's five-year old son wanted to learn the bass so Eric wrote to Billy, saying "you are the greatest bass player I know (obviously, Billy being the greatest bass player in history!), do you know how to find a bass for a left-handed five-year old". And Billy did hunt down one such bass, and had it giftwrapped and delivered to Eric's son complete with a book of instructions. Which spelt not only the return of Mr Big, but also a new career for Eric's son who from the age of nine has been the bass player in hos father's solo band. How adorable is that? 🤩

The band Mr. Big got their name from the song Mr. Big by the band "Free" - which broke up after the death of Paul Kossoff and reformed as "Bad Company". I think it would be cool if you listened to the songs All Right Now and Mr. Big from "Free". Thanks and best regards from Hamburg (Germany)

I've seen Mr Big a bunch of times, such a fun band. Met Eric and Billy in the past, very cool guys. They are all extremely talented, during their encore song in concert they would rotate with each member taking over playing each instrument! Try a listen to "Green Tinted Sixties Mind".

Not drunk, this came out a year or so later after Eddie Van Halen, Poundcake. Drummer was Paul Tarpey, RIP. Also, Mr Big, is supposedly on theiir last tour now. Paul Gilbert had a solo project, and Racer X.
Besides their smash hit ballad To Be With You, singer Eric Martin was the voice of the original Power Rangers theme song.
That would definitely explain their popularity in Japan!
