    Do you have any tips or videos for printing over the front pocket of the hoodie?

      Kind of, that's a good idea though. Here is an article I wrote about platen risers. It's a different print but the concept is the same. prodtg.com/2015/09/03/diy-platen-riser-for-printing-irregular-items/

    after i print on my f2100 and i go to heat press a hoodie the colors fade , i pretreated the hoodie with the epson supplied treatment and the hoodies are 100% cotton hoods . when it finishes printing the colors look great but when i go and press it for 60 seconds with light pressure @ 330 the colors fade . does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem ?

      That is likely due to the dye in the hoody migrating through the print. Dye migration is a common problem. Conveyor dryers help, you can reduce a combination of time, pressure and heat to possibly help mitigate migration. Often its the brand of hoodie and dye they use. I use Justhoodsusa for best results.

      @@MelcoEmbroidery the customer brought me the hoods so I really have no option as far as buying the garment . They are the Golan 100% cotton hoodie . If I was to do the paper transfer like in your other video , do you think that would work?

    What's the size of the zipper hoodie platen riser used in this video?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's about 1/8". Generally a good height is a piece of masonite.

    How many inches did you put between neck of the hoodie and edge of platen riser before you tucked?

      In this case the riser is squared up with the front and sides of the platen. I I loaded the hoody square on the platen which is correct for a size S-L left chest. Then in GC I moved the art all the way to the right of the screen and down about 1-2"" from the top. Here is my video on Left Chest Prints. th-cam.com/video/idEqz8C_lLE/w-d-xo.html

      Yes absolutely. The more cotton the better.

      Cotton Heritage makes a great Hood. My favorite is Just Hoods USA.

    Does anyone have experience printing photo's onto a shirt/hoodie?

      Hi, good question. As long as you follow the best practices in pre production: perfect nozzle check, proper pretreat application, good quality garment, you should have no problems printing photos on a hoody. Here is the technique I use on a t-shirt which should be very similar on a hoody. th-cam.com/video/wOrsDx7a2sg/w-d-xo.html. I suggest buying hoodies from justhoodsusa.com
