Vera didn't deserve to be treated like that. It was her choice, not Vera's. 1st bride is sweet and nice, the 2nd is rude and entitled.

agreed. THe first one hangs weirdly on her and the sash doesn't work.
They didn't even pin the first dress. Half the reason the first dress was less flattering was because the shoulders were left all saggy in both try-ons.
The first dress had more character, but wasn't flattering, but the second was so blah, I hated it
I like how Sarah’s entourage supported her and guided her gently towards the correct dress for her body type. What a lucky lady to have found herself an exquisite dress in a nonthreatening environment! Wish other customers would take note.
Vera really gets treated like garbage by some of these brides. The brides pick the dresses, not Vera. No need to give her attitude for your poor decision making.
Vera has some attitude too sometimes but I still love her and am always on her side

I don't think she intended to make Vera feel bad. She was trying to say it was her own fault for picking the wrong dress & knowing it was wrong for her before she had it altered but having them alter it anyway. But she came across as really witchy and like she felt she was superior to everyone else.
I used to make custom wedding dresses. I quit after a while because brides can be total jerks. Vera has a right to show some attitude. She DOES know better than they do. After all, she's had experience doing this longer than those brides have been alive. Team Vera all the way!!!
1st bride's family was so supportive - and exactly what you want with the people you bring to help you choose a dress.
For the first bride, I'm really surprised they didn't have a lace dress with a corset for her to try?
They don't show all the dresses they try on. She could have tried one and it just didn't make the TV cut
The first bride was so sweet, something about her personality comes off as very kind, humble, and gentle. Beautiful couple!
The second bride should have brought her assistant with her when she first went shopping for a wedding dress. It would have saved her a lot of time and money. The short dress has a simple elegance and is perfect for the venue. Her original dress has some unflattering details and is a bit clingy.
To me, the first dress wasn't as flattering because of the way the top was cut so low. Her breasts looked like they were going to fall out & it wasn't as flattering as the short dress.

@@jazznpercyI agree. I think the first dress was actually very pretty, and it looked great on her, except for the décolletage. I really think this could have been fixed, with some lace and a good bra. Pity she gave up on that dress.
@@katharina... I agree I am a seamstress, and the seamstresses for this kind of place have made skills. Bras are so often sewn into gowns for the uplift and support, it could have been changed. She just wanted something different or the venue may well have changed and she just didn't want to admit it in front of the cameras. She was so dismissive and rude.
agree, the back was gorgeous but not the neckline. Second dress was gorgeous on her. Made her glow and younger.
I love the first bride! She was so sweet and such a ray of sunshine. Her family was so uplifting too. Made me smile
considering how flattering the shape of the other one was but how much the bride likes lace, couldn't they find a dropped-waist corset back with lace overlay? she would've loved that.
It all depends upon the gowns and fabrics available that will fit her waist the best and with this kind of gown the TIME from ordering until the DATE of the wedding.
Vera is a fabric artist with skills that I can only dream of having and she deserves so much respect, not this rude bride with a bad attitude.
But the dress made her body look really wrong. It wasn't good at all and the bride didn't want it. she didn't need vera telling her off. it was horrid. The second dress was SOOO much better. Gave her a fantastic figure.

Vera wasn't rude to her at all. She was just explaining the policy about alterations and the bride was totally entitled and rude towards her for no reason. Spoiled rotten brat
I didn't feel she was rude, just firm. That had to be a hard decision and somewhat embarrassing .

I love that the first bride said of her fiancé that he'd want her to feel really beautiful in her dress. So often we hear "he'd want me to show off my butt cause he likes my butt" but this was such a sweet sentiment.

yeah lace isn't good on bigger women as it does make them look like a frumpy housemaid from a hundred years ago. The rouching on the second dress really suited her and she made the right choice.
A better bra would have helped Sara's first dress, but it actually did not look like a wedding dress - she could have worn it out to dinner or a dance. Maybe her family could give it to her for a Christmas present to wear at some other event.

The second bride has got to be crazy.. heard First dress was outstanding. You only get to wear a dress like that one time as a bride. The second dress she could go to dinner and a cocktail party. That's just a evening dress in white. I hope that she has great luck with her marriage. I don't know many women who would throw away $6,000.

Given she has a PA I doubt that. She's probably an executive of some sort, or partner at a law firm. It definitely seems like she's spending her own money from the way she spoke. @@apet1712

In general, there's something about the low waist dresses that I find repelling.. The second dress would've looked so different and flattering if it wasn't for the low waist!

My oldest daughter obsessed over an Alfred Angelo dress she saw in a bridal magazine. It had a red satin strip at the top and had red satin material going all the way down the middle of the back. She LOVED it! She found a bridal shop that carried it and was so excited so she went to try it on and once she got it on she immediately didn't feel right in the dress. It was very pretty on her but she said she felt more like she was going to the prom instead of going to her wedding. She tried on a couple more gowns but ended up buying off the sale rack and took the dress home with her that day. It was $99 and the shoes were also on sale. She got out of that bridal shop with a dress, veil, and shoes for under $300 which was all purchased by my mother. This was 16 years ago. She got divorced from her first husband after 10 years of marriage and remarried last year. This time I bought her gown and paid $2,200! It was a Sottero Midgley gown and was gorgeous on her!
1st bride, the white top that she is wearing at 1:23 is so flattering and lovely that I instantly thought," That's what she should wear." The dress she picked is beautiful. Good choice and great family and friends.

I think the first bride should have considered looking for a compromise dress that took elements from both dresses she loved and tried bringing them together, but that's just my opinion! She looks beautiful in the dress she chose.

why didn't the consultant show her a corseted dress with lace on it? The issue with the lace dress was the fit was horrendous, even if it was just the sample, not a custom dress. If she wanted lace or something vintage in feel, surely there was a dress that had at least some lace but a corseted top. But, yes, the second dress was heaps better than the first.
What a wonderful entourage! I would be proud to be their friend.

the lacy dress reminds me of Amy's wedding dress in the BIg Bang Theory, hideous to every one else, but makes the bride happy. thank goodness she chose the second one

First of all, I love how loving and supportive her group was. Secondly, I think the second dress was the absolute best one.
I wish they could have found a dress with the silhouette of the second dress, but made with a romantic lace. That would have been the perfect compromise.

As a bridal consultant, when I have brides that are equally in love with 2 different dresses, one being what she came in looking for and the other being something completely different, I often tell them when you love them equally, you actually love the new vibe better, it’s just the original vision that’s hard to let go of. The first bride made a great choice

The second bride , I actually agree with her she having a a fun Vegas wedding and the dress had stereotype Pamela Anderson vibes and suited her .

it wouldn't help. the first dress she bought had NO structure or support and she needs it. it was basically a negligee and while some brides can pull off that look, she just needed something that had more shape to it. if she was worried about it being too plain she could always add a rhinestone belt but the second dress fit her figure much better than the first one she bought. what i'd like to know is who talked her into spending $6000 on a dress that was the complete opposite of what she wanted...

I HATE when a wedding dress has a material belt! It cheapens it and takes away from the dress-especially the lace dress. I love the lace dress but without the ribbon and with maybe no belt or a silver or crystal belt. With the ribbon, it chops her figure the wrong way. The second dress was so flattering!

Bride 1 Dress 2. Yah!! Both gowns were lovely but Dress 2 definitely was more flattering.

The first bride’s family reminds me of when I went wedding dress shopping. My party was like hers. I wanted their opinions but they all said it was up to me because I was the one is who was going to wear it. They did agree with me with the 2nd dress I tried on. I didn’t cry when I found my dress but I couldn’t stop smiling. I felt so pretty. I was just sad I never got to wear it
She looked beautiful in both dresses but I liked the lace one better. Her face lights up when she’s in it. I think she just needs shape wear so she can still get an hourglass shape in the lace. I wish she was able to get a combination of both dresses.
If you're having doubts about your 6k dress then you have more money than sense. If you then just discard it for another one then that's ridiculous. And when someone has spent 6k on a dress you say it's great

I don’t think that personal assistant did the bride any favours! Her original full length dress had a special sexy quality and the cocktail dress was, blah! She could have been going out to lunch with the ladies.
To me, both dresses were lovely, but the first one was kinda spectacular. I think it could have been fixed, they just needed to find a way to make the décolletage a bit more presentable.
