Before 1991 monmohan Singh was head of different top financial position. If you think literally he destroyed Indian economy brought India to verge of bankruptcy. IMF condition and PVN Rao's leadership laid foundation liberalisation of economy. Stop glorification of monmohan Singh.
Just like no one glorifying nirmala sitharaman.
You need to read some philosophy books.

In 1962 India was not weak as the guest suggest, Nehru was weak kneed person, who just wanted to hang to power even if he loses a chunk of our territory. He ignored the air force chief's advice/ suggestion and surrendered completely in front of Chines. From 1947 till 2014 India was always defensive hence our leaders, journalists on Congress payroll constructed a narrative. Only under Iron man Mr Modi we have realised our potential & power. Actually India has clearly wasted 50 years under the leadership of congress. In fact Congress has brought our country on the brinks of multiple partitions. All these years our leaders, government servants ie IAS officers (Babus) & paid journalists never understood that ..दुनिया झुकती है ....पर झुकानेवाला चाहिए। Only Mr Modiji has understood that. Hence everyone is enjoying the results.
