So basically thousand years ago Ornn refuses Volibear's request to forge him a set of armors for his people, Volibear is rageful about this and ended up killing Ornn's followers or worshipers. And now we see in the cinematic after thousands of years, Ornn is finally forging something that we don't know and why, but one thing is clear it is a declaration of war, from the God of forge itself, Ornn.
The bear fighter is not Volibear , they are ursines, spritual shaman followers just like Udyr. Voli gives ursines the ability of changing their shape to look like his lesser form. The real Voli is the one in the back big as mountains. (Psa: Udyr is not an ursine, he bonds with many spirits in freljord, that is why he can take shape of other animal spirits while ursines only take Voli's)

And that is the most important detail. Because Orrn never forged any weapon for anyone after that incident. So seeing him forging a new weapon again means that the real shit is about to happen .Probably this year Void/Aurelion event will be mix and held together. And Ornn is the only one who can make a weapon for someone to fight with both srongest Entity and the most fearsome Void creatures. One if my favourite LoL Cinematics yet. The animation was great, the characters had a different yet clearly recognizable look and the song was fitting. The choice of champions was also great, including some lesser seen faces (Seju and Taliyah
Something about fantasy setting blacksmiths is just incredibly badass. The idea of a legendary craftsman forging a named weapon wielded by the heroes or villains of their age.
For real tho, I loved that they showed off some less presented characters, but my favorite from this cinematic was Taliyah. Such a big improvement compared to her last entrance in The Climb. She looked perfect here and was badass.
Mainly play tft at this point, but this cinematic broke me out of retirement for my aram grind XD hoping to see a feature length with this glorious style of animation one day
Surprisingly enough, I do still play league because I enjoy it. Almost exclusively ARAM and all the other 'for fun' modes, though. I stay away from draft and ranked, I don't care to get that sweaty over games, generally speaking. I do love the lore and the whole world they built around it too. So many amazing little stories for each character, barring Shaco who has no lore lmao.
We might get a Freljord vs event. But I think the main event of this year is going to be void themed. We got 2 recent stories of the Void going into Shurima and it even got teased in the opening stream
