Guys I appreciate the concern about the piston size measurement. I tried editing that part of the video with a text over with the explanation but gave me video errors. The calculatordid not take the 0 into the measurement size. It shows 3.46 instead of 3.046. The result number still shows the same in the range that I am working on. Which is still 0.01730 instead of 0.17030. Thanks for looking out guys. I really appreciate the support 💪😬🔥
@@Baksteen_Express idk, I never done or seen a engine rebuild before, just this vídeo of Alberto. I need to know the lubrificants, how to torque the bolts, and many more. @@imnota thank you for the information! what i like about alberto engine videos are that I already watch alberto, so it's much easier to watch and learn something, when you don't watch a channel and you're watching only for the education, sometimes it's kinda boring, but thank you!

This is AWESOME Alberto, and thanks for making the effort to show the build in so much detail. Can't wait for more... DOUBLE THUMBS-UP!!!!
So, you replace the main bolts for ARP main studs and you don`t line hone the mains or at least check the clearances on final assembly. Great Engine Build.
Great Job Alberto! Very detailed and you covered what a lot of people miss like thrust bearings etc. please keep just as much detail on the upcoming videos!
You can add fine paint pigment + oil mixure on the end of the socket so you can visually see the bolts that have been torqued. Same as paint pen marking bolts to see if the bolts have lossened/moved
Went u have 1 month of free times to do video. Man i watched u since 2015 u didnt talk too much like this but i think i like it. U explain everything 😊
Alberto BIGBOOST love watching the videos!!!! Hear in australia we have barra's !!The Australian 2JZ!!! Maybe you can do a video compering the two. Would love to hear what you think about the barra engine and how it compares to the 2JZ and the RB. Keep up the all-some work and stay safe..
The lubrication oil holes on the crankshaft journals doesn't seen to be chamfered like Pro Engine Builders do. By the way Alberto , do you know why it's recommended to increase piston rings gap in function of the engine potential output?
Are the CP carillo pisotns + BC rods good upgrade compared to stock 2JZ-GE non vvti pistons and rods? My block is going to the machine shop so I think I should replace the rotating assembly.
@@imnota one thing that threw me off was it came back from machine shop with factory main cap bolts installed then later shows caps with L19 or 625 studs. I was curious if he had it line bored/honed and was just using the factory bolts to hold the caps in or? Because that would definitely make a difference unless he got really lucky.

Bro I think you forget to mention or to do a 90 degrees for the crankshaft and the connecting rod thanks a lot bro fo the video keep it up and aoswom work 💪💪
Alberto! Great video. Only thing I didn't see you do was debur the rings after you ground them down to size. Also you might want to lubricate the ring compressing tool as well since rings have to slide through it before sliding inside the cylinder walls. Very little things that go a long way but you got this thing on lock!! Pizza look good too! Lol
Hey Larry, yes that is a good thing to do. I hand file the edge of the ring after cutting. And I also use atf to clean and lubricate the rings before assembly. Some stuff I dont cover on camera all the builds. Ring compressor tool I just spray with some wd40 💪 I’m glad you are looking out. There are times where I have missed things and only notice from the comments before its too late 😬
Put of curiosity! I'm doing a 1.5 single turbo build (precision 6266/1300ID injectors, AEM Infinity standalone). Using 2jzgte rods and pistons....What piston rings should I ask my machine shop to give them certain gap numbers?
is this a VVTI GE Motor with GTE compression forged pistons? still a ge head correct? hard to find the exact info confirming the question, but i dont see the oil squirters, and it says "GTE Head Pistons" on the piston sheet. was wondering how something like this would work so u can lower compression and raise boost. trying to find a cheap 2jz set up and i think this might be my route

Alberto BIGBOOST what about con rod clearance?
Did you measure bearing clearances before you assembled the bottom end?
Alberto BIGBOOST there you go people!
Alberto, Curious why you got Away from M52 Block.. LMK
3.406 u mean. Did another typo in this response. but good you did it right!
the bore size is 3.406 but you did the calculation with 3.46 in the video. I dunno if it matters a lot
Youri Dv still ends up at .017 but good catch I saw that too!
saw it too
Came to say the same thing!
I saw it too....
I was trying to make a title over it but premiere kept giving me an error. The measurement is the same. 0.17030 instead of 0.1730

16:40 - why do you have to put the ring gap on one side and the other on the other side ?
With normal engine operation, don't piston rings move ?
