    I have wanted to build a service bed trailer for quite a while but ran into the same problem as you, narrow truck (relatively, Tacoma) and only finding wide full size truck or even wider dually service beds. Three weeks ago I found for sale an abandoned/non running Dodge Dakota with a service bed, I texted right away, looked at it the next day and picked it up a week later. It is now at my friend's house and we are stripping everything we don't need and planning the build. I will be watching your build for ideas, I like it so far. (edited a typo)

      Awesome! I got lucky finding these utility boxes and how they are individual. Good luck with your build and share some pics over on my Facebook page of the progress and when it's done 😎

    I was hoping you'd use a longer spring... oddly enough though I have an MJ bed trailer & I removed the MJ springs and moved the frame mounts in closer together to mount XJ springs, the MJ springs were too long. Well done...

      The leaf springs are rear XJ springs but as the build has been growing the springs were not stiff enough so I had to make my own spring pack.

    That guy was incredibly helpful. You could have never flipped that by yourself

      @dboverlandjd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah he is my neighbor and helps me with stuff all the time. The frame actually didn't weigh that much and I could have done it by myself but it would have been a big mess lol

    That moment you realize the leaf springs are longer than the trailer. Lol

    This looks like an interesting story. But you really need to invest in a wireless mic. The sound levels between talking right into the camera, and the "look away" shots just are not working. Some of us older guys spent too much time listening to loud music when we were young. You know, 2-3 weeks ago! OK, it was more than that. But your sound levels vary too much for those not listening to a nice home computer.
    But keep up the good content. Looks like fun.

      Yeah a wireless mic is definitely on the list to get. Thanks for the input 👍
