I'm an ex student of psychology, i left because the entire university was turning super woke and denied christ everywhere and everytime. i still study depression as a speciality on my own and i can tell you that psychology is just propaganda compared to the healing and teachings of christs, pyschology is full of jews and perverted people.

my priest (and spiritual father) told me that catechumens and the newly baptised are attacked more fiercely and since starting catechesis, i have noticed a decline in my mental health. please pray that i can become strong enough to ignore the lies of the evil one. i say the jesus prayer, but sometimes, reminding myself that i'm a child of god - and a wanted, beloved child - gives me a lot of hope and pushes those demons away. wonderful video. thank you for making it, and god bless you and your family

I can attest to the increased challenges one may receive after baptism with the stream of unfortunate events that disrupted my life for a time after I was brought into the Church. But, instead of asking God why and shaking my fists, I turned more towards Him. We must never forget to do that. As hard as things may seem, our Lord will deliver you. Trust in HIm.

I love listening to the spiritual orthodox perspective of what a balanced mind is vs a disrupted or disordered mind.
I think mainstream psychology reduces the mind and brain into teleological framework without considering the experiences and nature of the WHOLE person.
I have ADHD. I’m a disorder according to mainstream psychological literature. However it doesn’t consider that I’m a creative, visual, very sensitive, very curious who sees in the big picture. Part of my pathology is this modern environment and trauma I was raised in.
We need a simple lifestyle. In tuned with God’s natural environment. Eliminating unnecessary distractions, over-consumerism and digital information overload that’s constantly tugging on our dopamine pleasure centers.
    Definitely subscribed! ✝️☦️

Excuse me, Father. Why does it feel like as we get closer to the faith, we get attacked more? I’ve been a catechumen for a while, and hopefully getting baptised next Easter, but I feel like not only has my faith been targeted, but my mental and even physical health has been targeted, and at times I feel despair and even existential dread that causes me to just question my own faith, and logic behind, for example the trinity, even though I understand it, I don’t understand it, but still, I see it more as a temptation to get away from truth to something of my own understanding, which is not what I desire. I just don’t know what to do, or why this is happening..
    Please, Pray for me everyone.

Hello! Take heart and be of good cheer! This is a combination of things. First, when we start looking inward and seeking the healing of Christ, a lot of stuff comes to the surface that we may have ignored. Secondly, God allows us to endure this so that we are perfected. Sometimes medicine can be bitter and difficult to stomach, but if we hold on, we are healed with time. Thirdly, the devil hates losing and does every thing he can to hurt those who break free of him.

Do you mind sharing your first name for prayer reasons?
the image that comes to mind is the goop that comes to the surface when you put a rusty part in rust remover overnight. approaching the consuming fire of God in capital-R Reality means our sin will be burned away, but because of its deep connection to us, that cleansing is necessarily painful. Fr Turbo from The Royal Path always talks about how “Orthodoxy teaches you not to flinch,” and “get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
and just yesterday I read a quote from St Symeon the New Theologian; “why should we expect better treatment than Christ? He is God, and he was crucified.” I’m paraphrasing a bit as I don’t remember the quote verbatim, but God willing the point comes through.
      Good struggles!

I am in the early steps of the Cathecumenate. My challenge to enter the Church is going to be long. I was locked up in psyche in 2022 and deemed Biopolar (a mood disorder). Refusing to take their meds after leaving the hospital, I used Cannabis. Two years later, I still balance my moods with Cannabis. Have yet to gain an opportunity to talk to the Priest about this ... Yup, it's going to be a long road to Communion as I can't see not medicating with Cannabis, even though I am always trying to wean off of it. ... and 'yes' my Dr. knows about my cannabis use.

@@NewJack-wr4bq I had a nervous breakdown a few years back. After talking with me the Drs made their diagnosis. Many of the 'classic' marks of bipolarity were present. Their diagnosis is only a framework from which I work. It helps me to identify when I am on a path to mania or depression. When one with BP is heading up or down it is serious. Both directions need to be addressed asap. If you had BP, you would know that prayer is not always the answer. Cannabis cuts the path of the disease, and gives the sufferer a chance to balance out again. Obviously you don't have BP ... just for a moment try to imagine being at work, and you feel your mood elevating and elevating without ceasing, to the point where it feels as if your feet are coming off the ground, and you are surrounded by angelic white light. I will forgive your rude manner due to obvious ignorance. All that being said, it is Faith that is like an anchor for the soul as well. Faith to cure just isn't always readily available and life goes on ... Cannabis works.

I ask because I struggle a lot with the prayer and feel as though I pray it very improperly. I'm a young man entering back into a Christian worldview after living in the hole of material reductionism that our education system and culture has pushed for a while. It has been a process starting with Jordan Peterson over the past maybe 6 years and now I've become spoiled by the wealth of new spiritual (particularily christian) paradigms rescuing meaning from the abyss of nihilism. Along with Peterson there are two public intellectuals that come to mind, Jonathan Pageau and John Vervaeke who have really sealed this transition for me and coincidentally all three are Canadian. I really don't want to have to learn greek but I might just have too so I don't leave. I know it's going to be a huge time sink that I'm not really ready for. As for the cultural side it seems like the church's (both greek and russian) are just ethic clubs with the church as its main building. Most ppl have no real interest in the actually religious side of the church and because im not greek(try as I might) i really dont care about them talking about their history or culture (especially when they talk about turks),and I try to be part of the community but more and more times I just feel like and outsider that doesn't belong,so I don't stay for anything anymore that isn't worship. Worship now also feels increasingly impossible as these thoughts keep entering my mind, making what's supposed to be the greatest event with our lord into a dreaded slog. You turned off comments in your Mari Mari video, and claimed he was a Nestorian. I have no idea if he is or isn’t, but his video helped me turn back to Christ. • @living_orthodox
      @living_orthodox  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

I gave clips with him venerating and proclaiming Nestorian beliefs. If you need general consensus or common opinion, then you’ll never know anything as there is nothing more unreliable. I explain it. If you don’t understand, go back and listen again. You can also look up the metaphysics and actually read for yourself. Mar Mari promotes a dual hyspostasis in Christ. A multiple changeable Trinity as result as there is now a fourth person in the Trinity as they believe there are two subjects in Christ. You should also learn to be concise in your comments and not jump around. I also don’t generally tolerate comments that are unrelated to the video.
Coming back to Mar Mari, it isn’t a mere claim. It’s a fact. One with a lot of evidence.
