Gyroids can also be customized with customization kits! They don’t have to be brought to Reese and Cyrus (I didn’t see you mention this so if you didn’t know there you go) :)

Besides all of them able to be on at the same time, I love the fact that we can have these bad boys on the walls so they don’t take up space on the floor. I had an entire set of rooms in the museum in New Leaf just to have them all displayed.
I finally completed my gyroid collection today! The final one I needed was the sproingoid, and the first one I dug up was the infamous squeakoid
I just got the Brewster gyroid a week ago! That was the only one I needed
My favourite gyroid is the squeakoid, hands down, but the wallopoid is just precious. I'm also in love with the tockoid

The twangoids have my favorite appearance, but stelloids make my favorite noise. The first I ever dug up was a whistloid, which made me laugh because it looks just like a bong.
I completed my collection two weeks ago. I don't have all of the color variations so maybe not "complete" in that sense. I adore them. I have them all on a wall in one of the rooms of my house and I've been giving extras to my villagers as gifts and actually enjoy seeing them in their houses.
My personal favorite Gyroid is the Drummoid. Specifically because it holds a dear place in my heart. I actually didn't find it on my island or any other island. It was a gift from a friend. She brought a Gyroid fragment to my island when visiting, told me to dig a hole (her shovel broke), and she planted it in the ground and watered it for me. At the time I had no goddamn clue what she just did because this was at the time I had first started my game. But I dug it up about a couple days later because I didn't know *when* it was a good time to dig it back up because I was stupid and I don't remember if she ever specified. And there is was. I've had that Gyroid front and center amongst my other Gyroids because of it.
(Sorry for the story rambling. Just thought I'd share a nice Animal crossing memory.)

ive been trying to get a squeakoid ever since the new update came out… i feel your pain

I wish we had more customisation options with them so I could place them in every room and they'll still look good.
For anyone who doesn't know this, there is actually one special Gyroid that's kind of rare, but not really though it takes a bit of long time to unlock. If you visit the Roost and order coffee from Brewster for 51 consecutive days, then he will reward the Brewsteroid, a special Gyroid that looks like him.
Is it really consecutive or just in total?
Ah. Thanks for this. I’ve twice found a gyroid on my beach. However, I assumed I was fishing and had to drop it because my inventory was full. 😆
My favorite Gyroid is the squeakoid, ITS JUST SO DANG CUTE-
Also the sound it makes is ADORABLE
Something I'd like to say is that you can get up to 4 fully grown gyroids when it rains or snows on your island
A day after, even if it isn't raining ot snowing, you'll still have around 3 gyroids on your island burried.
This is all from personal experience, maybe it was a glitch, i dunno but i thoughg i would put this out there 👍
My island isn't extremely terraformed, so it was easy for me to search around. I thought maybe this is why the video only says 2 :>

I buried and dug up my gyroids most days since the update dropped and it still took me until Christmas Day to find a squeakoid 😂

Gyroids are everywhere on my island and it’s SO ANNOYING. I’m trying to find fossils and I end up digging up freaking gyroids. It’s like bunny day all over again
I still wonder if there is an island-based rarity or if some are rarer by default because my favorites are the Boioingoid and especially the Dootoid and while drowning in Flutteroids, Jingloids and Scatteroids I only got one of each of those so far. I'm in love with the new design and for the first time in the series I'm actually excited to collect and display them everywhere XD
Same with me! I’ve been trying to find a petaloid for weeks but all i get is thwopoids and clatteroids
please do a ranking list of all the gyroids! i love seeing different opinions on that
I found something out when I was playing with my dad on my island I didn't dig them up for a couple days and he found 4 on my island so good for him and Gyroids are adorable wallopoid stole my heart.

my favorite is a xylophoid because it looks like a bell and i customized it and now it kinda looks like a beauty and the beast tea cups themed or that tea cup elephant
I love how the Squeakoids sound exactly like Pikmin.

Here are 2 lucky things that happen to me in animal crossing.
#1 I found a Gyroid on my beach.
#2 I found a Kapp’n island with 7 summer shells
i foundd a gyroid fragment at 9:30 AM and one later at 8:13 PM i did have a friend over so im usure if she has droped it there

The first gyroid i got was a rumbloid, and it's currently my favorite, only because of the name (my brain kinda said "rumble = ominous = yes, love it". a lot more to it for me than that but explaining doesn't sound as fun)
I've seen people using tricks to put them on chairs or shelves inside (by sticking them to the wall and putting the shelf in front of them) but do you absolutely need to use tricks to put them on a chair ? You can't put them on chairs outside ? :(

I've been playing for a while now and I've never seen a gyroid on my beaches.
My first gyroid in acnh was the arfoid and it shall always be my number one favorite
You know you customize them with kits too!
Just a note: Meteonook doesn't have the new weather seeds so if you can't find your weather seed, that means you have a newer weather seed and need to just find the weather pattern for your day, a tool for this is Nookplaza which will help you determine which pattern your current day is provided you can give the weather at a few hour marks. One should narrow it down and two should help you determine the exact seed however 3 may be necessary from my experience

The amount of gyroids that spawn after it rains/snows could be three. The other day it snowed, and today I was able to find three gyroids, but I might have to wait for this to happen again before I can confirm if it's true...

I actually didn't know how to grow gyroids, now thankfully i saved some in my storage
gyroids I have im my characters house one room with one of each (all 36 including brewstoid), one with one of each variation, and then a room with extras (never enough until maybe I have every variation but then still probably not)
One time i buried multiple gyroid fragments and then it rained. next day i found (at least) 3 fully grown gyroids
I literally have every gyroid except for squeakoid, and it hurts me when I keep getting doubles of the others.
I can send you one if you want! I have 4 of the squeakoids so I don’t mind

One thing I am curious about with the gyroid fragments showing up on your beach. Can the same thing occur on NMT islands? On those islands you have a chance of finding another recipe bottle even though you only get one on your main island a day, so can island hopping also be used to find more gyroid fragments? Or do the fragments only wash up on the beach on your island and not mystery islands?

You missed three big facts 1. If you don’t play music around them they make their own song 2. They can be customized with custimazation kits 3. You can find up to 4 fully grown gyroids a day on your island

I watched this video before I started playing, and once I started collecting Gyroids I forgot I could customize them, so I gave every duplicate away. 😅
