It took me a while to figure it out, hooked everything up and no sound.. Ended up hooking the amp “blue wire” to the hot wire.. Works great.. This is the only video that came close to doing it right.. Thanks
Buenas tarde. donde se encuentra el cable azul y el cable caliente que conectaste
What hot wire?
What is hot wire??
@@kitantv685 the wire that comes to the radio from the key switch.. ACC..
The amp control wire is the black wire with a pink stripe on the cars harness. Also make sure to select factory amp from the drop down menu or it won't work. Thankyou for the video. Couldnt of done it without it.
Whats that menu, cant find it
Can you please post the list of parts and the android radio with links? It would really help me. Thank you.
Great tutorial and it makes car interior more modern 👍
Thanks for this, looking to do similar.
For my Mazda with Bose, my china head unit supported lowering signal level/unamplified speaker wires. I could maintain spatial audio that way.
Where did you find the setting to change it to signal level output? Was it in the regular settings or did you have to access installer settings?
Thanks
It was in the vendor settings. Code for mine is 3368. Others might be different depending on type. XDA forums can help. There should also be a setting for power to turn the amp on.

Great video! Do you have a video on how to replace the usb port in the center console? 2012 Altima 3.5sr
Unfortunately, I don't. It should be pretty easy to unscrew the center console and take out the USB ports. I only have a 2009 Altima, but I remember it was only a few screws that hold the center console in.
Where is the blue amp connector on the old head unit? Im having trouble finding that. I know it needs to be comnected for sound but dont know which one it is. Its a 2012 nissan altima with bose.
The wiring diagrams for all the Altima stock head units are readily available on google. You just have to google it. I did a quick search just now and it's pin 1 of the 20pin connector for the non-navi bose head unit.
Why not use the swi-cp2 from pac its much easier than using rcas and all what you did?
Hey, what size/type pin did you utilize for the additional wire you inserted into the connector?
I just found a pin from some circuit board connectors and pushed the pins out. It's actually very loose in the connector. But it shouldn't matter since it won't be moving once installed. I think they're about .5x.5x13mm. if I didn't have the electronics connector to take the pin from, I would have just used a staple. It just has to make contact.
hi do you have links for the wires of audio. i can't find any where.😢
@@AllenMartizo No, I don't have links. You can find them on Amazon easily. Just search RCA adapter wires or rca wires or rca audio wires. Many results come up.
How did you keep your factory backup camera?
I don't have a factory backup camera. I just have a aftermarket one that looks like factory. I can't remember how it's wired, but everything was pretty much wired up from years ago and all I did was attach it to the headunit instead of my mirror.
Great tutorial, question where did you get the RCA to speaker wire cables? i cant find any split like you have here
You can get them anywhere. It's pretty much available all over the place when you search up male rca speaker wire. Amazon has them for sure, but prices differ depending on where you get them and the style. You can also just get male to male RCA cables and cut them in half. Many options.
@@BudgetGears do you have any issues with the sound from the speakers? I have mine set to 30(maxed out) and it sounds like it's maybe at like 15 or 16 when compared to the original radio volumes.
@@teapotts6713 I don't notice such huge difference like you, but bluetooth audio is always less loud than radio connection. Its something I've noticed with all bluetooth stereos. So my bluetooth is less loud than my radio, so when I switch to radio, I have to turn it down. I've tested with high quality mp3 as well and the volume is similar to radio. During the install, I did go back and forth on just the radio between my stock bose and the China Android and they sounded about the same.
Hey where do you put the amp wire?
You'll need to search up which wire color is the amp wire and pin it to there. I can't remember. What I did was google the wire diagram, check the wire with my multimeter to confirm the wire color is indeed the amp wire, then I pinned the amp wire to that.
I wonder if anyone has used a high to low line converter to change speaker output to signal level and thus maintaining four channels of sound???
@GREGPDOHERTY I did and it works perfectly fine. I bought 2 converters for less than $10. I did read another review that some head units support changing the level in software which would’ve been nice and could have spared me the effort of soldering all the converters to the harness. But I had to put a lot of extra effort anyways because my car (GPS+Bose) has two different connectors and all the pinouts are considerably different than the single connector that’s on the available harness.
Hey thanks for your video. How do you know what pin on the harness to plug the amp pin into? Im referring to time 5:18 in the video. Thank you.
I googled the wiring diagram to see which pin it is. I confirmed the wire with a multimeter after I pulled it all apart just to be sure.
Terrible tutorial but it’s the only one in youtube.. at 5:18 yea im out.. returning the unit to amazon. I would ask but he probably just gonna say “google it”
what color did you pin it into in the adapter harness?
I only pinned the blue amp wire to the adapter harness. There was no wire for the amp before. If you're asking what color the blue wire goes to on the car side, then I don't remember. Just Google the stereo wiring diagram and match the color and pin position.
which port does the pin go in the adapter harness?
is it one of the empty slots?
@@GK-xp5mo Yes. You'll need to Google the wiring diagram and determine which spot it goes to. I think it was pin 1, but I dont remember anymore. It was one of the empty spots.
My steering wheel controls dont work at all and wont set up. Is there a specific wire for that that i didnt plug in or need to check?
If you have the China pre-wired harness, then it should already be pre-wired. There are specific wires you need to check that control the steering wheel controls. I don't know them off the top of my head, but you can Google the wiring diagram. I believe the wires send different voltages to the head unit to recognize what its for. I managed to get them all programmed except for the phone button.
Hm, I don’t see any diagrams online. What specifically do you remember you did? Also, I have the exact same car and bose system, so any help would be appreciated. You’re one of the only ones that did it for our car online.
@@cestlavieeee lol. Specifically? I literally plugged the harness into my car after I did what I showed in the video, went into the steering wheel controls on the headunit, programmed each button to do what I want, and it worked. Didn't have to do anything special. For me to do what I showed in the video, I glanced at the wiring diagrams easily found online. I think I googled 2009 Altima bose wiring and tons of resources came up. I really had zero issues getting this setup. Everything was exactly what I showed in the video.
@@BudgetGearsDang, alright thanks ill look into it deeper. I did try the setup after plugging it all in but the app never recognized the button presses. Thanks!
Hey @BudgetGears can you tell me how to find the Bezel? I need the same exact bezel you got but can’t find it for the life of me. I’ve searched Amazon, Walmart, eBay…
Thats odd. Its pretty easy for me to find, I just did a quick search and many options showed up.. It usually comes with the android unit. Here's a couple links with android and by itself without. There are many sellers to choose from when I did a quick search.

Thanks @BudgetGears. Yes I do see a lot with the head unit but I already have the head unit and just need the bezel. The eBay bezel you linked is for the manual AC and it’s from eBay Canada. I need the one for automatic AC. Anyway you can link the one you have in the video. much appreciated!
@@dwannaus I'm from Canada and only use the Canadian sites like eBay Canada, Amazon Canada, Walmart Canada, etc. Unfortunately, the listing for the one I purchased is already delisted. I got mine on ebay. I just checked the link I sent you and its for both. Theres a drop down for selecting. Select right hand and its the auto. If unsure, contact the sellers. Like I said tons showed up when I searched. You can do a similar search and go through the listings. I remember with mine it was for both as well. The listing default pic was for manual ac, but you can select auto. The harnesses they had were all for non bose. Hope that helps.
yes that is very helpful. I see it now. Thanks for the prompt response!
I've been trying to get a Metra 7553 kit to work with this. The bass is present but it is very low. Did you run across this issue? I have an ATOTO F7WE 9". I also tried another 6" generic radio and the same issue happens.
I've had no issues. My bass sounds like how it sounded on the stock Bose.
@@BudgetGears I appreciate the response. So how do you adjust the base and treble? I know these units have an equalizer but that wouldn't work for those settings.
@@npolite22 I haven't actually played with the bass or treble much. I didn't adjust it when I had my Bose either. The sound is already good without any adjustments so I didn't see a need to. I think the area I played around with was only in the equalizer. I can increase bass in the subwoofer settings too. The sound control settings for these decks are very limited. Also, I don't even know if the settings would apply to bluetooth audio as well. The radio itself has a button that goes directly to the equilizer, but the bluetooth doesn't. The bluetooth audio is always more quiet than the radio.
I just plugged my in and now sound, any help?
Need more information than that. Is it a Bose system you have? What do you mean plugged in? If you follow the video, it should have sound. If not, test your amp wire on the stereo. You may need to do a jumper from your acc to your amp wire instead of using the amp wire from the stereo.
Is this the eBay unit?
China unit. They sell these everywhere like Amazon, Walmart marketplace, eBay, Aliexpress, etc. So it's not an eBay unit per say. It's a China unit sold in multiple platforms.
hey man i need to do this but i am getting stuck in some steps could you help me? I sent you a insta dm
