    Probably one of the best b-sides from any band ever.

    The intro alone gives me goosebumps. Definitely should’ve been a single.

    Best Manics epic song ...aggressive verse and big chorus. They should play this song live more often. I love JDB ad-lib at 2:23.

    Amazing, the b-sides from this era are incredible

    I was walking about aimlessly with my mates Darth Vader duvet at this point, I wasn't even near the stage the manics were playing but I could hear them like they were just coming out of the surrounding countryside, a unique experience for sure

    This is genuinely better than a good few albums they've done. Amazing it's a b-side really.

    This song is one of the best of all brit pop. Criminally unknown.

      Not Britpop but a very strong song. Manics were not a britpop band.

    This is one of my favourite Manics songs because they mention Steve Ovett , one of my dad's oldest friends (and my best claim to fame ! ) So like Nicky to fit Dyson in :P

      Quite mad isn’t it, I’m the same age as them, athletics and the Coe Ovett rivalry was a big deal to us. Ovett the working class boy or that’s how it came across in newspaper world

    best b-side EVER!!!! Why they left this off TIMTTMY in place of songs like 'Be Natural' is beyond me!

    • @drumtracksdirect
      @drumtracksdirect 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      As good as it is, it doesn't fit the album at all! The song kind of stands alone, which makes it all the more amazing they had the balls to play it here, given they've always been conservative with their setlists.

      ian welsh it should have been a "A" side, instead of .......Australia or Everlasting. It's an example of MSP's invective rhetoric that its "for the initiated" instead of the Adidas wearing, Gallagher- like , generally not readers of Dworkin or Plath masses......they knew.... But to see Savant like Wire being wrestled by the proudly illiterate Oaf-asis Liam , seemed ......

    @SeriouslyRandom20 I think the reason they didn't put it on an album is because it's TOO PERSONAL...it's the only song they have where they come right out and discuss "the Richie situation", and talk about tiny facets of their lives.
    Just my guess.
