Pete. Just appreciate all the time and effort to shoot, edit, and publish restoration videos like those you typically engage. Look forward to this series in entirety.
I'm in total agreement - thank you, Pete!
Absolutely love the restoration videos. I don't have a tractor, but seeing how you diagnose issues is invaluable. I also love the farm videos. Keep them both coming.
Söylemek istediklerimi yazmışsınız .Türkiyeden selamlar
Make that a big DITTO!
You never cease to amaze me. You remember where everything goes. Thank you.
Especially all the bolts
I know what you mean, I can take stuff apart with the best of them, but putting back together, not so much. Pete actually understands how everything works!
Unreal ...
@@bradellison1345 Well most people have a very good record keeper in their pocket these days, it's called a cell phone camera.
@@bobdown6235 That would be too easy, next you will be telling me to look at the instruction manual. LOL
Hey Pete...I'm 59 years old and I lost my dad to dementia 3 years ago today. You remind me so much of him and his love for mechanic work and basically not needing the best of everything, rebuilding items to save money, and the appreciation for the simple things in life. When I was a young guy, I was the helper anytime my dad needed a second hand. As I watch you rebuild your tractors and, at times, repair other items on the farm, it takes me back to the good ole days down here in the sugarcane fields of South Florida. You, Hillarie, & your kids are special people with a great TH-cam channel. I appreciate these tractor builds, your animals, and getting to see snow, which is something that I would love to see someday. Take care & keep up the great job.
Pete's camera work is just as impressive as anything else he does, setting up each shot after shot while working on disassembly is on a masterclass level.
Agree 100%!
Yeah, the production quality is astounding.
I am a 61 year old lady. I am absolutely fascinated with how you know where everything goes back together. I love watching you in your happy place. Stay warm up there. I am in west Atlanta and we are cold too. Lol
Just love the restoration series. From the manure spreader to this - it's fantastic content, enjoyable, and educational. Thank you Pete!
Yes!
Always impressed with the quality and design of older equipment. Made to last and to be repaired by the owners. Thanks for taking us on this journey with you Pete. Very enjoyable.
What makes your videos so good is you, and your knowledge of the tractor mechanic’s, you do a great job explaining everything 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Pete, i cant express how much i appreciate you showing as much as you do in these restoration projects.
I do love watching these. It inspires me to take a part my kitchen aid mixer to fix it after watching someone else's video on doing it. It's interesting to watch you.
Pete, I love your restoration videos. I am 84 years old and don't have any professional mechanical experience, but have lots of auto and small tractor experience, I love the way that you show all of the unbolting, dissembling and prying efforts needed. I feel like I am doing them again, I can just feel how it is to put pressure on a bolt, hose, or screw until it gives. When you remove parts I can just sense how much they weigh in your hands. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to again feel the way that I felt when I was doing similar work.
Well said. 79 here and still tinker with tractors every chance I get.
Amazing, Pete! Your camera work and editing is absolutely outstanding. What an enjoyable experience. Thank you.
I would watch you restore anything. Your teaching ability, patience, professioinalism is a testament to you beingness.
I'm an engineer and have worked with some of the best. Being able to watch over your shoulder is nothing short of amazing. That you
would go through the effort. Filming all of this is over and above the immediate hastels you must encounter with these projects.
You are one of a kind. I'm always amazed at your inventory of tools and infrastructure. The advantage of multigenerational
homesteading.
Farmall 856 is worth every second and dime you put into it 👌
Those moments when two of your favorite channels collide. 👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah buddy!😁
Hello Pete. I'm excited to see this progress. I have a 706 that I bought from a friend of the family. it was a second-generation tractor for that family. they didn't have anyone to carry on the farm, and my brother actually bought his farm when he retired. he passed 13 months ago. it needs some work but does run, and your videos are an inspiration to me. hopefully, I'll be able to tear into it someday. it would have been fun to do it with him, but im hoping Gods plan allows my sons and I to do it in the next few years. I have an Allis WD that doesn't run, and I got that from my grandfather. same dream with that one. grandpa had a cherry H that I don't know why he sold, but it was probably the first tractor I ever ran by myself as a teen in the 90s. I sure would like that tractor back. we just finished your video about the farmers' market stress during covid. we watched every video up to that so far. we didn't join you until the fall of 22. we appreciate all of your content. you keep doing what you feel is best, and scroll past the negative criticism. after every video when you sign off, my 3-year-old daughter says, "Bye Pete." Have a great day, and we'll see you on the next one.
Thank you!
At least with Pete´s vidéo you have a good work session. Good luck with your projects. Always good to hear from someone else.
I had an Allis WD and have since moved on to a couple of other tractors and I have some friendly advice. Start with the Allis, parts are cheaper and easy to find. It'll give you and your son good practice and you'll still have the 706 to use. Good luck with your project and I hope you guys make lots of memories.
@jake28061 Thank you, Jake. I appreciate that.
Pete, you are amazing! You "operate" on the Farmall 856 like a doctor in surgery! Well done!!
Pete, amazing the knowledge you have about these old tractors, farming and all about about farm animals, selling your products and so much more,God Bless…
My father was not mechanically inclined, but I was the one son that wanted to know how everything works and how it was put together. Needless to say, I took apart stuff I could never quite figure out how to put back together much to my fathers consternation. Ended up getting a degree in Engineering. I have never lost that love, so I enjoy watching what you do to see how much went in to building these tractors. Thanks and keep it up.
"I love it when I can get my big screwdriver out." My dad always said to use the right tool for the right job. CHECK. My dad would be proud. Great video as usual.
I first stopped at your channel to watch a tractor rebuild, these are still my favorite episodes. Thank you
You are the reason we bought our super MD to restore. We love all your videos but your restoration ones are amazing! So impressive Pete! You are great at teaching and made us confident that we could do it with your guidance and some hard work.
I’ve been involved in military aviation at all levels flight line to manufacturing and assembly. The mechanical genius is built into tractors of that era the glee in your eyes says it all Pete your in your element. I enjoy the rebuild series and will be following your progress. On the farm note when you were showing us the apparent blizzard what are the pigs and cattle doing? Hello to Hillary and family.
I love sitting at home in my chair watching you tear these old Farmalls down and rebuilding them. Great work!
I admire how you work on things the old fashioned way instead of using power tools. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching as always.
My favorite person on the internet!! Not a mechanical person but have learned so much from your restorations.
Thank you Pete!
This is going to be a great series, Pete! I am fascinated by the old tractors. Watching you enjoy rebuilding history is fulfilling!! Have a great day!!
I truly like watching you work on the tractors during the winter. Don’t change a thing.
There is nothing like your video's on a restoration of a historic tractor. I feel like a little kid living the history of each tractor and looking with your narration what it has done in its lifetime. Thank you Pete and Hillary for letting us share your passion.❤
I enjoy your videos with you & Hillary doing all of the farm chores. But being a motorhead all my life, I also very much enjoy your tractor & equipment restoration/maintenance programs. I feel I owe you the appreciation, Pete, but thanks just the same for yours. Stay warm & healthy.
That brochure of the 856 you showed at the end of the video is one bad-ass looking tractor brand spanking new. Things are going to get exciting. Thanks Pete.
"Why? Why not?" Something about that resonates with me. I like it, Pete.
Really enjoy all you do Pete….what a great way to end my day watching a family who loves farming.
Thanks
David
Pete, I predict that this beast is going to turn out to be a real beauty!. I absolutely enjoy watching as you work on these tractors. Stay warm.
I loved shop work when the weather turned nasty like that. Just listening to the wood crackle and snap in the old woodstove is soothing....
My uncle's have a '67 Farmall 706. Great tractor - very similar to your 756. A shifting fork broke and I helped my uncle break down the steering column assembly to get at the transmission cover. A fun day. Pete, your mechanical skills are impressive!
What a great way to start a morning! Cup of coffee, fire going and Pete posted a new video.
We appreciate you too Pete. Even though I don't work or live on a farm or have any mechanical skills to fix machinery like you do I enjoy watching these restoration videos in their entirety.
Pete, I really enjoy your restoration videos. Thank you very much for taking us along on the process !
Some people would say this was boring, but Pete you make it very interesting. 👍👍Two thumbs up.
Hi Pete, Just a note of encouragement. I grew up on a small farm in SW Michigan and we did most of our field work with a Farmall M. I really look forward to your videos. I appreciate your variety of videos, they bring back many good memories. I particularly enjoy your tractor restorations. Thanks for all your efforts !! ( I am 69 years young)
Zen and the art of tractor restoration . . . Pete, your channel is in a class of its own.
Hi Pete, I'm not at all in your industry or your restoration projects, however you've captured me watching your videos. Well done, can't wait for Part 3 and beyond....😊
These are my favorite Pete videos. Watching him eat the elephant one bite at a time is giving me the confidence to finally tear into my '47 M.
Hello Peter, you truly are a remarkable person, me, I’m not a farmer, engineer, mechanic and I’m definitely not a trades person. I watch channels where people like yourself and others exemplifies each other by the quality of the work you do. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the channel and strongly believe that I should be thanking you for the experience, entertainment and relaxation,I get from watching the channel, please keep up the good work because without the channels I choose to watch television would never be the same again. Thank you from a Northern Irish man living in a beautiful place in south west England. Regards David
Pete I have endless admiration for your ability to strip down these complex mechanical and hydraulic systems and then get everything assembled correctly again! I could probably take it all apart but I can't imagine putting it all back together without a service manual with step by step instructions.
We bought a new 706 International narrow front end in 1967. Unbeatable tractor for times, we were on a dairy farm and it did everything. When we quit we sold it with 10k hours. Was split once because of dripping main seal… thx for the video…
Wow Pete! You are just moving along on this teardown! Gotta love the strength of baling wire! I appreciate that you enjoy this and doing it right!
Pete, these videos are great! I tinker around with stuff, but by no means could I attempt what you do in these restoration videos. Love your channel!!
Pete, all your videos are good, but a whole bunch are great. You are like listening to someone that doesn't want something, but is glad to share. Just a good neighbor!! Be blessed!!
Pete, Outstanding job. We had a JD 4020 that we often had to split to replace a seal that would always go out during Springtime plowing. It would occur about every 2 to 3 years. Got pretty darn good at splitting it - replacing and putting it back together. You know what time means in the Spring when you are trying to beat the weather. Bringing back lots of memories my friend. Thank You.
Pete, I'm amazed at your knowledge of these tractors. Thats why I watch all your videos.
Good morning, Pete. The hubby and I have been watching your channel for about 2 years now. We neither own a farm or a tractor, but that does not stop me from sitting down to watch your videos. In fact, because of watching your videos, I have become kinda obsessed with tractors in a strange kinda way.😂 Anywho, as always, thank you for taking time out of your busy day to share all your videos.
Pete you have a unique god given ability and I really appreciate all your hard work to entertain us folks that can't do these things anymore, you are my favorite TH-camr, God bless you.
Only 10 min in the video and I already lost 2 bolts, a few washers and I can't find my 3/4 in Someone's been in my toolbox again. I just absolutely love these restoration videos. More please. :) Make for a great watch when it's so cold and snowy outside.
Hi Pete, wonderful work keeping these old girls running.
Still amazed at the availability of parts, 30 years ago I worked for John Deere in Australia and a guy came in looking for a 1948 tractor radiator cowling, got him a brand new one from the USA delivered free! That is quality and service from a bygone era,
You have the luxury of time to do such a perfectionist overhaul. Thanks for letting us watch - up close!
I really appreciate the fact that you are taking things apart the correct way with wrenches and other hand operated tools and not with an impact wrench.
This segment reminds me back when was about twelve and I was down to our shop taking apart a old Lock reel type mower when my father came down to get me back to the house for supper and said to me "boy you got a bucket of snakes going on there" and then chuckled as he was walking out the door thanks for that old fond memory!
Love your videos.I grew up on a farm in Indiana. now living in Ga for the last 35 years, the Videos bring back great memories.Love your show and memories. This is what this great USA was founded on.
Hard Work and love of the land. Keep on keeping on .L.Vance, Georgia

Glad to be here. I do not think that I will do one myself. Yet, I spent my youth sitting on tractors of this time-frame and enjoy spending time with them and you as well.
I for one thank you for this content. I sold I.H. equipment on Long Island in the mid '70s and seeing your rebuilds and restorations brings back so many memories of the same equipment you work on. Your attention to detail and care you take in preserving history are outstanding. Thanks, from an old I.H man, and keep up the good work on a great channel.
Pete, the knowledge you possess on all subjects you cover is absolutely amazing. You are doing a great service by sharing your insights with the rest of us. How on Earth do you keep track of all of those parts after disassembly?
I just love your Chanel… I grew up on the largest farm in New England 10,000 acres of apple orchard. We never had time to restore anything, it was always a rush to get it back to work. We had 35 tractors on the farm and 20 trucks. My life is now in the altar high efficiency😂 equipment. However, I love to tune in to your channel late at night and enjoy a glimce of your simple life.
Such a lucky tractor to get the Pete Tractor Spa and Rejuvenation.
This is a privilege to witness.
I like the restoration/mechanice/repair videos just as much as the farm videos. There's something very satisfying about watching something get taken apart and fixed back up properly.
I love watching you work I can tell you worked on these and you aren’t afraid of them when you disconnect wires and tubes and don’t worry about labeling everything you know where they’re gonna go back so I’ll keep watching. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s great thank you
I thoroughly enjoy your restoration videos. I am overwhelmed with your knowledge, all the different tractors and their parts.
My dad has passed and he has a little 35 massey gas burner and watching your restoration videos makes me want to restore the tractor its always sat outside but hopefully with GOD helping me I can start working on it.
Rock on, Pete! Love these series where you bring new life to these older tractors. It's nice to see the old iron being given some love and kept in use.
The commentary while disassembly is epic! Thx for sharing
Love it when you do a restoration on one of your tractors.
As a former FFA/AG student who spent 4 years in high school restoring tractors to sell tickets at local and big tractor shows and many summers on a hay wagon baling hay behind a 856 International. I'm gonna enjoy this series of videos.
I enjoy watching you take things apart but would not want to have to try and put it back together myself. Your knowledge is amazing and very helpful to others. Thank you
I would love to see how you keep your parts inventoried. The videos are a pleasure to watch.
My Husband really enjoys and looks forward to seeing these restoration videos and field work with those Tractors a bit more than I do.
I lean towards the animals and the everyday things that make a working farm that includes the teamwork of you and Hillary
Love your program! I’ve restored 66 and 77 Porsche 911’s and appreciate what you are doing. God Bless
Pete you do a great job of explaining whatever things you are doing, I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks
Pete as always a great video. I run a Massey Ferguson but watching your videos have helped me learn things.
Pete I watch all of your postings at least a couple times each. Enjoy them all. Please continue and thank you
Thank you for all the help you have given me !!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
I like your attention to detail, on everything you do on your farm. And it’s done with professionalism.
Absolutely the best 33 minutes of my day. Thanks Pete.
Whew. Having done an H and a couple of Cubs, I'm in awe of the amount of work the 856 entails. It's a lot more complicated. Can't wait for Episode 3, Pete!
Just keep buying "new" tractors so we can watch you restore them. Awesome work!
Would you talk a bit about how you keep all these parts, nuts and bolts organized for reassembly?
It’s quite clear the complexity of the tractor as you move ahead in years and horsepower evolves significantly. I enjoy these equipment videos. Is a young fellow my father rebuilt some piece of our family’s farm equipment every winter I was his helper . It was an excellent start to my eventual career as an engineer. He would most always obtain the owners manual and get the service manual, I learned a lot about equipment reading these , he would refer to them if something didn’t look right or on assembly . Good lessons for me and they were wonderful times for us both .
I been a car mechanic for 20 year . And as I watch your restorations I continue to learn new way to work . Thanx Pete great videos
Thanks Pete, I thoroughly enjoy your vehicle repair, restoration content. Being part way through a Massey Fergusson 35 myself, you've rekindled my enthusiasm - which had waned over the past couple of months whilst working full-time. So thanks again, loving seeing the spannering, bring it on.
All the best from a damp and dreary Scotland. All the best, Ian
I look forward to your restoration videos.
The “workings of the farm” videos are great too.
You’re an absolute joy to watch and experience visibly the necessary upkeep of a farm. Not just any farm but a conscious endeavor to promote healthy humane treatment of animals great and small. The stewardship of the land goes hand in hand. Chemistry between your wife and yourself. All adds up to a very satisfying time spent in your company. Thankyou lots Pete.
Learned how to drive tractors on an 856 when I was a “young’n”…my uncle worked it for many o’ years…definitely one of the best IH models. Many thanks for another great video!
Love to see you detailing the tractor 🚜 pete...never gets old..hope you and you family take care of your health pete...cannot wait to see your next video
Thank you Sir for the awesome restoration videos , I enjoy ALL of your videos but the restoration ones are my favourite. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Thank You Pete for taking the time to film your restoration work. When I work on my tractors I label everything as well as taking many pictures. I wonder how many times you refer back to one of your videos on re-assembly? You are fearless, I am always so afraid of breaking something. Thanks again.
The real fear is at the end of reassembly. You´re so proud of your work until you realise that there is still bolts and nuts on workbench 😢😮
This tractor is going to look so good. Can't hardly wait. This tractor refurbish series is going to be a good long trip. Thanks for the opportunity to join you Pete.
Thank you for taking us along for the ride during your restoration journeys too!!
Hi Pete, great job! How on earth do you remember how to put it all back together? How do you keep all parts together with right part? Wow, you do great!😊
I haven't watched your earlier tractor restoration videos, so I don't know if you mentioned this. But what is your system for keeping track of all the nuts, bolts, washers, brackets. etc. as you go along?
I don't know about Pete but as a mechanic, when rebuilding anything complicated, I'd always lay everything out like lines in a book; top left of the bench is the first nut or bolt and work right and down. Reverse to rebuild. Cover everything with a towel and a "do not touch" note when not working so it doesn't get messed up.
A lot more moaning and groaning as these restorations get bigger! REALLY enjoy these tractor restorations! Can't wait for the adventure and what surprises you may find. Thanks
All I can say Pete, is ... I / WE Admire you so much, to know each and every Nut and Bolts. Your Amazing Man!!! Blessings 🙌 to you 🙏 and your beautiful family ❤🎉😊
