1. I wouldnt underestimate the anxiety that CPAP users will have from this. Not having your own extension cord is dicey. Will RCL have enough extension cords for CPAP users? We will find out when they start enforcing this rule. 2. Half the people I lnow currently take one of these onboard. What kind of delays in security is this going to cause? Especially in the first 6 months of enforcement.
1. there is no way they are going to seriously enforce this. This is basically hoping people comply. 2. The CPAP is always talked about with the on board team and our reps. They are well prepared for those. That and the 800 scooters on board now.
Hi John, great video on what not to bring onto the ship. I had to show it to a few people at work and I told them to make sure to like your video. Thanks for making me laugh. It was great meeting you on the Symphony. Bob (of Bob and Sandy)
If anyone has issues the cruise lines do a ton to accommodate them. Mobility and accessibility issues just need to be addressed pre cruise. Remember these are just standard banned items. They will absolutely make exceptions when needed.
I suppose I can live without my guns and grenades, but the spear gun stays with me! :D The fact that they have these items on a no-go list means someone at some point has tried. Same with the warning labels that tell you not to eat the glue or put it in your eyes. Someone, somewhere has done it.
Do you travel by yourself or just with your wife because if you have a family of four and everybody has a cell phone or a camera of some sort that needs to be charged wouldn't that make a problem?
Royal provides these to guests. Usually 10 ft. is plenty. 100 foot would be a huge risk as people would be tripping and falling on them. Also, these rules are in place to dissuade the average Joe from doing them. People with special needs or issues are always given options. nothing is hard and fast. People are also not supposed to put towels on chairs and leave...... lol

Thanks Bob
What about folks with mobility scooters? If cruise lines are going to ban stuff, that need to increase the power supply ports.

Fencing classes on Cunard is a huge incentive for me to sail with them. 🚢⚓🤺
I wonder if you could use a single outlet adapter for the European plug instead of a multi socket. 🤔
you can definitely do that

So wild. But true!

Sure. That's why the USB ones are great. They are concerned about outlets not USB. Most devices are USB at this point.
Or if you need to charge up your power scooter there is an outlet being taken
Or if one of you has to use a bypass or cpaps machine in The State room p that will take up an outlet
100 ft extension cord to run your bypass or cpaps machine with

It seems we are really messed up cruisers if we need such a well-defined list, or is it jus to cover their butts if an incident happens
Absolutely to cover butts.
