I just finished watching it the other day and I got so hooked on it I had to rewatch it twice! Including the movie AND the Rikka's Version of the story (what honestly surprised me was the fact they actually made an OVA cannon to the series well for the christmas one anyway, not sure about the OVA for season 2)

(I finish the anime) a god damn master piece that deserved praise, awards, and another season. This will forever stay in my top 3 anime of all time. I will show this to my brother when he comes of age and he too will sing praises for this master piece.

@@joshuabang1437 Judging by his profile picture. He also watched Saiki K. With no offence to Chunnibyou, Saiki K is definitely one of the best comedy animes out there. Second to only Gintama. The manga is already finished and there’s 2 seasons + technically an 2 part OVA + an actually good but short Netflix series. So yeah, check it out m8. It’s really good.

So quick update, Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions has been my favorite anime for 6 months straight and I don’t think it’s leaving that spot any time soon.

I just bought both seasons on the special edition pack. This anime is hilarious and very entertaining. It has great character development too.
Will the first episode came out 2012 but they continue making it throughout the years though. I think season 2 from what I understand came out 2014 or 2015.

@@ibezach1604 totally understandable. I usually prefer dub over sub but this was the first anime where I deliberately chose to watch in sub just cause the English voices sometimes don’t fit the characters that well

I love how they bring balance to each other,Rikka pulls him out of reality while Yuuta pulls her in. Honestly those two are one of the best couple in whole anime

I couldn’t agree more to what you said (btw well made video 👍). I’m suffering from post anime depression after watching this anime, and it’s just nice to hear other people discuss why they love the show so much. I love how Yuuta realizes he loves Rikka because she IS a Chunibyo. This anime is honestly in my top 3 favorites of all time. Just so glad I got to experience watching this great series full of emotion and comedy.

DUDE IM SO GLAD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS DEPRESSED!! I literally sobbed into my pillow the night I finished the anime cause I was so sad it was over and all I wanted was to continue to be enveloped in the story and all the characters and the adorableness that is the romance between Rikka and Yuuta. No other anime compares and I just feel so empty now... lol?

Dude same man I just feel empty and I don’t wanna watch any other anime cause they aren’t gonna have Rikka in it. She is just so adorable and innocent and that’s why I liked this anime so much it wasn’t packed with fan service and stuff it was more so innocent and sweet and I just loved the sighs and stuff from Rikka and how cute her personality was and how she brought out yuuta’s side he was trying to get rid of and what she did for him

Something about this show that I like so much, is that the dub is actually done so well. I know a lot of die hard anime fans hate the dubs and don't think they're good at all, but I actually loved the dub. The actors put so much effort and you can tell they had such a good time playing these characters.
I like it a lot too. The joke about Rikka’s other person was done so clever. It’s my favorite change in the show
I just recently watched this anime for the first time and it has now become my #1 favorite anime ever. And now im watching it for a second time

@@ibezach1604 Ikr, but based on the spacing between season 2 and the movie (4 years from 2014 to 2018) I'd say a season 3 is very likely, it just might be another year or so, also I highly doubt they would just end the anime when they are only in their third year of high school, they still have one year left, and in the movie college is briefly discussed, so i'm hoping this means they do season 4 or 5 in college and just continue from there. the reason I say 4 or 5 is because of they wanted they could do the entire season three in the third year of high school, after spring break (of which the movie takes place). Also they could do summer and as a season or an OVA ya know, there is literally so much they can still do and I think they know it and they know we'll watch it so they don't need to rush out a new season every year. That was a lot but gosh I love this show so much, by far my favorite anime and just show overall. Thanks for the great video man I love hearing anything about this show!!

Honestly I can’t get over this anime, it’s just so amazing and unique in every single way, and also it opened my eyes to another world thinking that everything would be fine as long as I have myself🥺
This is also my #1 anime without a doubt and I’m just hoping that it gets a third season but until then the movie can hold me over. Great video dude

I love this anime because of the journey takes you on. love doesn’t really exist in rikas chunibyo scenarios and it’s nice to see yuta help her understand and express the feelings they have for each other

It’s sad because of the Arson attack on Kyoto Animations really set back everything because many were killed from the fire and many were harmed but they have come back so there’s a chance we could get a season 3 in the ongoing years

Rikka is such a cute and funny character. Without chunibyo , I don't think I'd be the best anime. BUT IT IS THE BEST ANIME!
"...everything that I could've sworn wasn't for me" what a relatable statement, and what made me obsess over why I love this so much. I checked it out as the premise sounded interesting and my first ep I thought it was going to be too ridiculous but I watched more and by Ep 5 I think I dedicated myself to watching it all as fast as possible. My heart just melted right out of my chest and I almost couldn't bare it. Its the ultimate escapism and getting wrapped into it is heaven.
this was my first anime so it always holds a special place in my heart :,)
This series made me fall in love with slice of life animes. This series is so wholesome and one of my top favorite animes.
That scene where Yuuta was telling Isshiki that he loves Rikka and then combo kicks him in to a window made me burst out laughing so hard that my dog ran away

I saw this show as a parallel to the anime obsession I had back when I was a middle schooler. I would make it most of my personality and when I got out of it I started to become embarrassed by the fact that I had that phase, and as the years went on I became more repellant of it, but then I remembered this show. It took a lot of convincing to myself but I decided to rewatch the show and now that I have I am realising the parallels it has to my own life. But in the end, you can still have a little bit of something without taking it too far, which I think is what this show is trying to convey. Yuuta decides to let his chunibyo side come out every once in a while for Rikka, but he doesn’t overdo it and become obsessed with an embarrassing phase again. This helped me get past my intolerance for anime. MAKE A SEASON 3

I love it so much too. I also recommend the movie "Aura: Maryuuin Kouga Saigo no Tatakai" or in english "Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War" if you are looking for a very similar theme but with a different, darker take on it. Though I've heard a lot of people didn't like it much but I really did
One of the most relatable anime I've ever watched.
After watching Chuunibyou, I really had a hard time moving on( dang i still can't move on just really sad when the anime you love is now done).. i really wish there'd be a season 3 when they are all grownups..
After seeing this anime I realised what real love is.

Lol that finall remark. Truer words have never before been said. To be completely honest this anime has changed my perception of these self delusional thoughts I've had growing up. I used to belive they were behind me and that I would never experience them ever again. But the truth is they just as much part of human nature. From what I read is sorta a defense mechanism that our mind plays because we all wish to not fully comprehend true reality that is life. Personally i feel glad to know Rukko's chunibyo was inspired by Yuuta which gave her a way to sorta block out the reality of her fathers death. For me is sorta a way to block out bad moments in my life and focus on brighter futures for myself but mainly to reflect how part of my brain has been denied a chance to experience true happiness which forces me to acknowledge just how lonely i am in life but how I wish no matter what to be a shinning person full of hope everyone can look up to...also future where i am the sole carrier of the spirit bomb the only thing keeping all beings alive in this planet! Even though I've only watched season one im still already feeling the effects of a great anime coming to an end but im gonna buy the manga no matter what!

This show is my favorite thing ever.
I've had some shows like Seven Deadly Sins and Angel Beats where I fell in love with the first scene, but this is the only show where I fell in love at the very first LINE OF DIALOGUE.
And from there, I just grew to love it even more. I adore this show.
And also, I want Rikka to be my friend.

This show is so amazing, the story, humor, romance, characters, epic battle scenes, the ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL animation
Honestly, the only negatives about this show i could think of is that the opening and ending songs are a little lackluster. i’ve watched some great animes with really fantastic ops that just added so much charm to the entire show, like konosuba, maid dragon, and blend s, so its kind of a shame that chuunibyou didnt have the greatest of music. Then again, everything else about this show is god-tier, so who cares honestly
Also another thing, i wanted to see more of toka and yumeha’s divorce. What will happen to the kids? Auuuugggghhh

Honestly, my take away from this anime was if you surround yourself with people who love you then there is no shame in being yourself. After watching it for the first time, life just started to hit different. At 25, I needed that.
I saw this anime randomly and when i watched it on Netflix it changed my life and make me feel something that other anime couldn’t do...I really love this anime and its always gonna a part of my childhood.
There is also a movie called “Take on me”.
Basically a season 3, I’d say.

Honestly I’m glad I’m not alone I felt so attached to this anime and really enjoyed it and had a mental breakdown when I finished it but thank god there’s a massive fan base

Both the anime and the novels are great. As a graduate chuunibyo IRL, this is definitely one of my favorite anime’s. Not only the drama and storyboard, but the meaning one can find below the overriding humor is, well, both poignant and heartwarming at the same time. But I am really sad about the lack of attention Satone receives. Some people dislike her because she shows romantic attractions towards Yuuta. I want to note that Satone is trying to stay unchanged. She wants to stay positive as she was in the past. The characteristics of the “chuunibyo selves” are the reflections of who the characters want to become, who they deem as the “perfect” character. For example we know that Rikka developed chuunibyo because of her childhood drama. Her eye can host a contract because she does not want Yuuta to leave her like her father did. Back to Satone, the personality she gave Sophia is that she will not change, yet she have ironically the most character development. She also claimed Sophia to be “famous” and that she went out of her way to grab attention. However, she never had the public see what she did. She ran away after making the announcement, stayed silent in the water park - before her friends came of course, etc. We can safely say that she is a completely different person than the Sophia she lets out. My heart sank most not at when she broke out tears remembering the past but when she fell on her balcony and watched her sticker - her identity as her ideal self - fall to the ground. I can feel her pain beyond the screen. The amount of pressure put on her and she still decided to put on the smile and laughter for everyone else. Yet no one understood her. Her mask hides her too well. Yes there are sadder characters than her of course and perhaps Rikka had a worse childhood but she deserves to be noted for her work and effort to just trying to stay the same. I can feel more empathy for her because I can understand that the human mind is very contradictory; it is strong enough to change someone but not strong enough to defend itself. Satone is a great example of someone who forced herself to be someone else. She could have graduated from chuunibyo many times and she sometimes regret not doing so. However she forces herself to stay the same because she fears change. She fears change because she cannot afford to risk exploring the unknown. She cannot see what will happen if she change. In the story everything she does she had control over it. She purposely lost to Rikka, even when she “kidnapped” Rikka in the novels, she knew exactly that Yuuta will come and save Rikka. The one time she didn’t expect is when Yuuta returned in the rain for her, which made her break down.
Well in the end I enjoyed everything about the story. Thanks to Torako for the amazing story, thanks to Tokyo animation for the amazing anime, and thanks for the person with eyepatch for inspiring Torako to write the story!
