Sunwest Silver Co Inc is a family owned business that began with Ernest Montoya selling beautiful Native handmade jewelry out of his car on the road, after he came back from the war in Vietnam. By 1970 he had established what we know today as Sunwest Silver Co Inc.
Today, the Montoya family works together every day, still following their passion for Turquoise and beautiful Native American handmade jewelry and arts. As the owner and operator of the Carico Lake, Badger, Falcon, New Lander Turquoise mines in the Southwestern USA, we provide distinctive stone for our jewelry artists, and fulfill our love of mining!

Man that ring is all that. That twisted wire tho around the bezel ,damn that would awaken me randomly at all hours of the night,I'd actually probably redo the damn thing just to get that part perfect. Also I would've for all that great work I would of went with a different can ,not knocking it . Oh and how you gonna wear that carico ring is that what it was or bracelet and not tell us about it? Out of all thems I would take that one she was sporting unless I could get that ring with a giant carico clam super green light for cab .

I’m learning real and fake turquoise..Is the solid blue colors with no black or other colors markings real turquoise? It is beautiful.only I hate a pretty bracelet all same size and light to medium color with smalls makings..My husband said it’s not real. Is this true? Only asking because I do want real stones.. I am just now liking some ..I Appreciate all your Information..🙏🕊
hi there! Turquoise actually comes in a really wide ranges of colors. The most common are blue & green, and different mines have matrix - the patterns, lines and splotches from the host rock - some are completely solid color, like Sleeping Beauty Turquoise from Arizona. Wherever you buy your jewelry, the seller should tell you if it's turquoise or stone treated to look like turquoise. If you take your bracelet to a local gemologist or jeweler, they may be able to tell you if it's turquoise or treated. We have some info on different mines on our wbsite, it's by no means all of the mines, but you can see a variety of types of turq. sunwesthandmade.com/turquoise.
