The AMG GT63s 4 door coupe does not have a dual clutch transmission (DCT). It has an AMG Speedshift Multi Clutch Transmission (MCT) 9 speed transmission. It is similar in design to a conventional automatic transmission, however, it utilizes multiple disc wet clutches instead of a fluid driven torque converter to provide a direct connection between engine and transmission.

My wife and I saw a Benz in that same matte Cashmere paint at a local car show recently- it’s absolutely SICK - most white variant I’ve ever seen and the feel of it is just as amazing as the look. BUT - give me that bodacious blue Caddy with the super charged v8 with manny 6 any day!!! It’s been so fun to watch you getting familiar with your BW - you’re really getting comfortable with it’s nuances and obviously getting more enjoyment out of it with every drive! Give me the engaging drive over anything else every day - and Caddys still have a swagger all of their own- no head-hanging! I’ll take the Crest over the Star thank you very much!

I’d want the CT5-V Blackwing for the manual option and the 668 hp it has, aside from how the GT 63S starts at $171,500 while the Blackwing is $94,890 lol. It almost doesn’t even require thought to pick the Blackwing when you factor in pricing but again, that’s just subjective

Enjoy your reviews. I just took delivery of a 2023 AMG GT 63 S. A few things: 1- You can get fully adjustable comfort seats, which I did spec. The performance seats in your test car are optional. 2- There are also 3 different rear seat configurations, I have the rear bench seat that can seat 3 with complete fold down capability. I did actually cross shop the RS-7, M 8 Comp and looked at the Blackwing. Biggest thing that kept me away from the Cadillac was the surprisingly disappointing 0-60 performance and the plastic interior. But yes, the AMG was a lot more $$
I mean... RWD vs AWD. Obviously the CT5V was going to be slower. Maybe check the track times instead? You'd be surprised at finding out which car is faster around Willow Springs
The AMG of course. Even though they’re two different styled and targeted vehicles! The Merc is just far superior in every aspect of its exterior design, powertrain and interior. IN MY OPINION
If we are considering fun...manual transmission... The blackwing wins this one... On another note ...that blue black wing colour needs to be black..its looks MUCH better in my opinion - probably still not as nice looking as the amg but closer

I prefer the Mercedes, but the Cadillac is the purer sports sedan. The AMG GT interior blows the GM product out the water, but the Cadillac is more connected and involving car on the track easily.

Faster doesn't mean it's more involving, particularly with the Cadillac being available with a manual. Steering feel is only one part of it. Doesn't seem like you understand the difference.
alone from the 600 lbs more weight where the AMG has, has the CT5 additionally a 100 HP advantage but I´m sure that the AMG can out accelerate the CT5.
@@Dyltheboy no it´s the WHP, the CT5 has only 500 WHP and the AMG round about 570 WHP and 2 Turbos. German engines lost a lot lees HP as the American engines.

The AMG delivers more because you're paying more. But dollar-for-dollar, the CT5-V Blackwing is the better buy.
I’d take the AMG it’s a fast car, has a more appealing interior and tech but the Cadillac is very respectable

The Blackwing is a nice 4 door muscle car with great handling, its not really " luxury " looks like a Chevrolet from the inside.

The Cadillac's infotainment and front console area is just cheap and outdated IMO. I'm sure it's an amazing drive, but that doesn't do it for me.
