I have LOVED Abby Jimenez's books! Loved that her characters are more grounded in reality and have real challenges. It isn't just a trope after trope. I do enjoy Romantasy books (Divine Rivals and the All Souls Trilogy are the main books that come to mind for me...). ☀
Just found your channel! I really want to read Just For the Summer and The Serpent and The Wings of Night, I know lots of people have been loving them! And also, I enjoyed The Soulmate and want to check out more of Sally Hepworth’s books 😊
Yay for Just for the summer! I will read anything from Abby Jimenez at this point! I also really enjoyed The Good Sister- so far it's my only Sally Hepworth but I want to read Darling Girls soon. -Tammy
I'm not sure why it took me so long to read her books ... but I am obsessed now! Good job on the skittles last night - it was really fun to watch the challenge!
@@bookmama26 Yeah, I didn't pick anything up from her until about this time last year at a recommendation from Keisha. So glad I did! I had a lot of fun with the challenge and just a smidge of anxiety. 🤣
Sounds like a very varied month of reading. 8 books in one month is pretty impressive. By the way, I'm reading the book from your giveaway and I am loving it. So good! 🌞
I always enjoy your reviews. Adding more to my TBR. I so agree with you about A Fate Inked in Blood. All I did was read an excerpt from one of the chapters and knew it would be a definite "no" for me. Thanks for doing the hard work for us! 🌞
May I suggest A Tale of Stars and Shadows? Very slow burn .. like nothing happens until half way through the series. We're following an intelligent woman who is dealing with grief and trauma as she puts together a group of miscreants to guard a prince.
I don’t usually read romance but I was thinking of reading Part of Your World. Sounds like I should pick it up. I also don’t read romantacy even though I like fantasy. I also thought The Good Sister was a decent thriller, I find so many to be problematic. My favorite thriller in recent memory is We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker. Glad you had a good reading month.
All 3 books in that companion series have been amazing (Part of Your World, Yours Truly, and Just for the Summer)! I haven't heard of that thriller so I will look it up!
@@cynthiafialka Still reading it and enjoying it! I had to put it aside for now only because I’m participating in a reading team challenge and it’s just too big of a book 🤣
I am so glad you brought up the thing that bothers me about a lot, but not all, romantisy. So many MC’s are very immature, in my opinion, then go and have very adult like “romantic”relationships. It drives me nuts. I am glad they are in the adult category, but irritated the characters personalities and actions don’t line up. The very popular Fourth Wing had exactly this problem. So I too prefer YA fantasy for this reason. There are exceptions though, like Serpent and the Wings of Night, so it will be hit and miss for sure.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for understanding - I felt like I was the only one bothered by that!! That is good to know about Fourth Wing - I still haven't picked it up, I might at some point but at least I will go in warned :)
Best wises with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories.
I really need to give Sally Hepworth a go! I have multiple of her books on my TBR. Glad you enjoyed them!
Hope you like her books!!

I still need to read Darling Girls - it just wasn't fitting in my Survivor prompts!
☀️ Just for the Summer was so good!
So good!!
☀I alway love it when someone loves on Abby Jimenez!

@@Julesbooksandthings well you did great - and I totally would have been an anxious mess 🤣
❤📚📚❤️ The only one I've read is The Good Sister, and I also loved it.
So good!

Yes, that sounds like my kind of book - adding it to my Amazon cart, thank you!

You must!!

I have Just for the Summer on my TBR cart think it’s time to read it. I also DNF Poison Heart lost me at about the same point it lost you.
Glad I wasn't the only one!
A fate inked in blood was a 2 star for me too :/
Glad I wasn't the only one!

I DNFd the Serpent book- I didn’t like the unnecessary cursing and found it boring.
Understandable!!
