I don't know about increasing the volume level, get a bigger speaker. Implementing USB-C these days is a no-brainer.
And fix the firmware! Disable Auto-Power-On; Enable the the Volume controls with Windows 10.

Been rocking Tribit stuff for 3 or 4 years now, never been disappointed and the price and warranty support is unmatchable!
I got a Tribit Maxsound Plus a few months ago. Excellent sound with rich bass, and from such a tiny speaker, it's hard to believe. The thing has some weight to it, too. These sound great as well. The company nails the price/performance ratio.
I guess Las Vegas was a good experience :P

Yo Floss...for max volume I turn on Disable Absolute Volume in the Developer Options. That makes it so the speaker can be on blast and I can adjust the volume on my phone independently and o have seen a noticeable difference in volume
Tribit finally restocked and just ordered two! One straight from the source (tribit website) and one off Amazon (mainly to see which one comes first. Been checking the website for the past few weeks trying to cop. Cannot WAIT. Love your vids! Been watching since the note 4 review!

Bose has more upper bass which kind of translates more bass but the tribit seems to have more punch with the kick sound and a bit more gain in the trebles which sounds more detailed. Well done tribit!

Those Tribit speakers sounded awesome, even though I watched this on my phone and I could still tell they sounded better and louder than the Bose speaker. I'm putting these on my wish list.

Saw this Tribit today on a tech site. I spent about an hour reviewing the details and then said ‘F it; buy’. I’ve been debating getting the Bose for months, but I wasn’t interested in having an older charger that i never use. Found your review after i made my order and got even more excited about the purchase. You legit addressed every concern in a few minutes. Appreciate you; can’t wait to see what else you’ve done. Tribit won hands down. Bose is still good but sounds much warmer than Tribit. Tribit came out much clearer sounding with a fat punch to it. Although I still like my Bose, I’ll keep it to listen to some night soft smooth jazz that deserves a warm sound. I’ll listen to the Tribit for music that knocks your socks off. BTW, loved how your cat wanted to join the party.

I seen this on their site. Tribit makes some good stuff. I have their Xfree Tune over ear headphones. They sound pretty amazing for $35 dollars. I use them alot. I shouldn't be cause i have the sony 1000XM3 kings but I'm really enjoying the xfree tune that tribit makes.

Hi Floss. A great review as always. I have a stormbox micro coming this coming Tuesday. I can't wait. I don't usually get 2 speakers, but I might change my mind. I know audio books would also sound good on this speaker. Thanks for explaining where the buttons are located and what they do. Since I'm blind this is a big help. I have the tribit sound max and the sound surf as well. I highly recommend those speakers as well. I listened very closely between the soundmax and the regular stormbox. I decided the soundmax sounded just a bit louder and better then the regular stormbox. Again, thanks for a great review. I am so looking forward to getting the stormbox micro.

Well I ordered tribit based on the amount hype all over the internet about the Tribit, I had JBL clip 3 old one everyone says Tribit is better than even clip 4 in my opinion more base doesn’t necessarily mean better, one things for sure it’s better for music than audio book or podcast, I enjoy listening podcast on my JBL clip 3 because it’s brighter sound it’s not over powered by base.

Great review, and unlike other reviewers your honesty comes out. You do not pick the bigger companies product you pick the ones you liked the most. Other reviewers should watch your reviews to see how it is done, those other guys just piss me the F off. I want that speaker(tribit storm). The sound is crystal clear. Playing this from my one plus 7T w/ no headphones. I hate muddy sounding speakers. This speaker sounds punchy for $55. I just hope the quality fits the sound though.
They don't have this on Amazon UK but they do have the 24w 360 non micro version... which looks good but I want the dual pair facility, not sure if it works with that(?)

Bose has a little more bass, but in person, the Tribit sounds louder and more clear. They both rock, but you can't argue with $110 for 2 lol
