      Bartomeu must be on some heavy drugs. Maybe he's hallucinating and thinks its career mode where you give a bad player a great contract so you can swap him and pocket the difference in wage for your next transfer purchase.

      Bartomeu issued in an era of Barca of I securely looking better than they were, all caused by Neymar's public departure. It was so stupid, the reaction was like they were nothing before Neymar so they compensated by having "better" replacements. Barca won more without Neymar than they ever won with him, but he seemed to think that losing Neymar was the end of the world. Some kind of "perception is reality" bs took over that club, and their insecure need to show they were better off without Neymar led to them losing MESSI for nothing.

    I’m just curious how Gareth Bale isn’t higher than just an honourable mention, since he makes the joint most on Madrid (around €500k per week or around €28 million per year) and has like 3 games played this season and clearly hasn’t cared about playing for Madrid for a long time now. (I know he was really good for real, and was a big reason for many of their trophies but not anytime recently is my point)

    • @biddlybingdebong8959
      @biddlybingdebong8959 2 ปีที่แล้ว +95

      Probably because he's more than paid his wages in trophies won, some of which Real won purely because of him.
      Man City have spent £1B+ to win a champions league and failed. Bale won 2 for Madrid. Whatever Real have paid him over his career, he's more than made up for it. Ain't his fault they're still paying him, he was set for a move 'til RM decided to keep him.
      I'd rinse for them for every penny too.
      You're only overpaid if you bring nothing to the team, you can't say Bale hasn't done that for Real, look at his trophy count while there. Then compare it to Pogba, who's on £350k a week.

    I continue to have no caps for any team in professional football. Because of this I think the 0€ I get paid are not overpaid. Instead I write suggestions such as.
    Day 3: Top 7 second/amateur teams in football
    (Hertha BSC II which almost won the DFB Pokal, Real Madrid Castilla who lost to their first team in the spanish cup in 1980 but got into Europe, Wellington Phoenix Reserves who play in the NZ National League

    strange one about Danny Drinkwater, adored by the Leicester fans, used to be able to here " HERES TO YOU DANNY DRINKWATER LEICESTER LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU'LL KNOW" going round the KP, decent on the ball with a good ping up to Vardy, worked decently hard too.
    Sad that he's just seen as a joke on the internet, still a legend in my eyes for what he did at Leicester obviously, a lot of fans talk about how "the grass isn't always greener" and i'm sure he knows that, but its not his fault chelsea threw absolute silly money at us and his wages

    These players earned to their contract through hardwork and a successful couple of seasons. The deserved the contract their respective clubs offered them. Footballers deserves to be rewarded for their hardwork whilst being on top of their games. As injuries could plague them or affect their run of form in the future. No club offers those contract if they weren't sure of the quality they are getting.

    I'd argue that Marcelo's inclusion here is a bit harsh. His current contract was signed in 2017, when he was the best in the world at left back. Back then, he more than deserved it, but sadly his decline from 2018 and onwards has been pretty steep. He'll be a free agent this summer, and rumour has it he'll retire to stay at the club in another role. The man's a Real Madrid legend, and deserves to end his time at the club on his own terms. He is not some mercenary draining the club for money like Mariano Díaz, who's never been good enough to play for Madrid, and has refused to leave for several transfer windows, because other clubs can't match his current salary.

    You should make a video explain how Real Madrid and Barcelona can pay those players that much. Even a cursory bit of research 10 years ago thought it was impossible. Especially when my mate bought ticket for a champions league game on his holidays on the spur of the moment and it was cheaper than watching his championship team in the UK. I'd like to se someone actually point the finger at Fifa for turning a blind eye to that right up until Man City And Chelsea started doing these same in England. : )

    You should sound all the vowels when saying Japanese names, so in Avispa Fukuoka you need to sound the "u" and the "o", FukUOka. Same with Kawasaki Frontale, you need to sound the "e" in the end.
