Great Video as always. Little Tip at the Tank exit add a plastic Tap fitting which then allows you turn the water off at the source for any future breaks
Awesome vid guys, we did this 2 years back and absolutely love the Gibb! Fantastic to see you guys doing what we did. I wrapped every pipe and wire under the van with split pool noodles with cable ties, in 50k never broke a pipe $20 and a few hours great peace of mind! So envious of you guys atm
Oh wow Peter that is a great effort! Yes so wish we had wrapped the pipes. We were very stressed when the fitting to both tanks went. Thought a $1 fitting was going to end the Gibb for us!
Another great Video, Sorry if this has been mentioned before, and I hope you don't mind Me saying, Your Rock Tamer's should not be dragging on the ground, you are actually flicking stones up and causing damage to your Van
Supercheap/Repco/Autobarn or any decent retic shop and replace with brass fittings. Changed all ours out on camper trailer before we left. Although we don't go as remote as you.... YET! 😉
There used to be a joke that if you saw a water trail on the road a Jayco was ahead of you. We can now add your brand. Get yourself some pool noodle and water pipe insulation to cover exposed pipes.
Another great vid. Manning Gorge was my favourite place on the Gibb. It's a pity you didn't manage to get to the falls - they are magnificent. Your caravan coped better than mine though - mine had to be taken out on the back of a truck
Oh nooooo that must have been an awful experience for you! At least you managed to do Manning Gorge. We would have loved to! Thanks so much for the support and comment.
We have a home made stone stomper hubby made to go under our van, it's awesome stops all the rocks hitting up under tue van, have to protect the liquid gold 😂
Hi guys good to see that you had to use me little trick again lol, if you pop in to enzed or pirtek ,they should have a brass "T" fittings and other assortments , keep the vids up loving them ,if ya ever in sydney pop around silverdale say gday
Great episode once again. We can all give advice, but when you are the ones dealing with the situation it's different hey! Just keep on magivering it as you go. Then when you hit a town with a rep I or Supercheap you can buy brass fittings to replace the plastic ones.
You guys are doing well on the Gibb.....we got gibbed at mt Barnett..6hrtow to a 2and a half week stint in derby penitentiary 😂. Gotta love it... love watching your journey.
Hahahahaha Sue we loved your rope swing attempt! Classic! It was a nice place to cool off though. Dazza’s spare parts is always open 24/7 🤪 Happy to help out 👍 Hope you guys are going well. We are at Mindil Markets again where we just sat and watched your episode on the phone eating a Laksa 😂 That’s livin Barry! 🤣
Thanks so much guys! Mindil markets and laksa sounds perfect!!! Yes Dazzas spares was a lifesaver ❤ hoping you guys are travelling welll and enjoying Darwin.
Those hoses and fittings look like irrigation hose and fittings if they are they are not really very robust ,we always carry a range of John Guest fittings for our van u never know when need them especially in Northern Australia. P.s. nothing wrong that steak! Safe travels
We have seen you guys so many times on the gibb and it is absolutely ruthless we smashed our camper on that massive washout and so many other cars did to road slide mechanics nearly had to get towed but we survived💪
Good Morning Mates 😊 Awesome video as always👌🏽Thanks for Sharing your travels , adventures and advice 👏🏼👏🏼 Greetings and cheers 🍻 From a Hot 36 🥵 in South Africa 🇿🇦
What brand diesel heater u got there is it german or Chinese made im looking at getting one 🤔 great video guys as always gee u guys are having so much fun the missis on a rope swing so cool 👍
Thanks some much. We did have a lot of fun and the rope swing was great! Pity about my non existent upper body strength! It was an aftermarket Chinese one we bought. Cheap and nasty!
@@suelandolt6840 u did the rope swing good you're done it before 🙂looked like heaps off fun , Chinese heater hmm are u getting another one or getting the more expensive german one , I'm happy to pay the extra to have a reliable heater just wondering if I'm throwing my money away on the german one
Why do you always leave your truck idling as it is very loud on the video and must p#$s people off It happened when people come into a van park and when they are leaving always for at least 10/15 mins.
Once repaired pinch some of Sues floating noodle and cable tie around all visible hoses. For off road and bitumem.
Thanks again for great content 👍
Thanks so much Deidre… not the noodle noooooo 😂
“Off-road caravan failure” ends up being just a plastic water connection T piece. Little bit melodramatic isn’t it?
You probably thrive on other peoples misfortunes and that’s why you clicked on it!

Thanks so much. Appreciate the advice and am pretty sure it will happen again at some point! Have a great week!
Wow what a week! 2 breakages, dirt road, waterfall, swimming hole and champers! That’s living!!!

Noodles for sure. Exposed piping like that is just stupid design
Nice guys we enjoyed the Gibb put a piece of swimming noodle around it when you fix it....prevention....
wow very interesting experience friend
Enjoyed watching this. Looking forward to seeing the new van.
A tip is to wrap all your hoses and fittings using pool noodles and cable ties will stop stones smashing them to bits.....
Thanks so much for the advice. Yes brass fittings and pool noodles all the way!
Awesome video again.
We loved Bob’s face during that water crossing.
Cheers
Johnny&Rene
Love the vids.
Little saying a friend taught me years ago "I'd rather be looking at it than for it"😉
😂😂😂 love that saying, very true. Nothing worse than when you know it’s around but can’t see it!
When ya get a chance cable tie bits of pool noodle around all the exposed water fittings and such.
Great Episode guys 🙌 Donna and the kids saw a little fresh water croc at the tree swing 👍🏻
Aaaah don’t tell me that Greg! I was floating around there for hours!
@@suelandolt6840 so were we 🙌 he was only small

Now THAT is a steak! Nicely topped with a fried egg.
Yes it is! Deryck loves an egg on his steak! It is his favourite meal!
Pull into a sheetmetal shop and get them to make you up a new t piece from 316 stainless steel pipe. It'll last forever and won't die from the rocks.
Good to see you swimming with the crocs at Manning gorge. I was there last month and there were 3 crocs that we saw when crossing with the tubs!!!
How cool is Bobby livin his best life,

Agreed 100%. Thanks so much for the comment and support!
@@suelandolt6840 well worth it guys , no running out of water and that way you can have more time to sneak in a extra bevy 😂👍

Is it practical to have brass tee fittings instead of the plastic one's?
Yes 100% this has happened to us twice now. Def worth replacing all with brass.
Still amazes me best off road constructed vans don't protect plumbing. None of them do. Think they'd learn.
Guys don’t worry about the camera footage quality just have a good time and enjoy yourselves 😊
