I get it. I do. I'm not a cessationist, I believe in an " acts" like church, but really, some charismatics are out there. I love the Bible, and I've had miracles. I don't speak gibberish, but a holy tongue! But some later rain folks...

This lady sounds like she’s from new age. And you’re right, at my conversion, I knew immediately everything I was doing was wrong. I felt humbled, loved, embarrassed and ashamed all at once. I knew Jesus was it. I knew I was wrong and I knew I needed to change now. So many of us are still being deceived

Nobody is saying that ALL charismatics and pentecostals are heretics or apostates. If you belong to a fellowship of believers that honor God and His Word, then that's great! I'm glad of it! 🙌🙌🙌 Sadly, your fellowship is rare, and is hard to find. But I give you lots of credit for being faithful to His Word! Be encouraged! 😊🤗🙌🙏🙏
I find this romantic view of Jesus in a lot of the modern "worship" as well, where the lyrics would be uncomfortably intimate even in a mainstream love song.

I have been calling it “Jesus is my boyfriend music”. it’s really shallow referring to God, Lord, Jesus, Christ with the pronoun “You”. just like all the new bibles are doing. it’s a total package
Well does the bible speak like that about us? Yes I actually find some of the language to be weird in the Bible. Like we are the bride of Christ. He knows us and that like a man knows his wife. There is some weird level of intimacy in scripture towards the church aka the bride of Christ and Christ.
My favorite music is Celine Dion and my 2 favorite songs are because you loved me and I'm your Angel with R Kelly. When I would listen to because you loved me I always thought of Jesus with the lyrics.
When I listen to I'm your Angel it always pumps my faith up. Because it starts off no mountain to high for you to climb. All's you have to do is believe it when you pray.
Needless to say years ago someone took the passion of Christ and put because you loved me to clips from the movie and it captures it completely. If you look on TH-cam you can find it in low quality they removed the good quality version and there's also another one that takes movie clips from a Jesus movie and shows the healings and stuff and it's in good quality and it fits perfectly.
The point is you can take any love song and connect it to Jesus Christ as long as you remove the sex from it. Because Jesus is love. Look for because you loved me Jesus and watch it

@@faithfulservantofchrist9876 Thanks for the comment, mate! I agree there is a lot of intimate language throughout the Bible. Psalm 42 came to mind instantly, 'As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.
' So perhaps I should have stuck with 'romantic' rather than 'intimate'. However, I would say that there is a biblical balance many worship songs miss between reverence and intimacy. If you read a few of David's Psalms this balance is obvious. Even in that same Psalm David refers to God as his rock (v.9) and his Saviour (v.11). If David had only the intimacy and no reverence I would find his psalms rude. But his intimacy is from a place of reverence. Same with Paul's analogy of the bride, it is from a place of obvious reverence. Jesus' own analogy of the hen and the chicks (Matt 23) or the Shepherd and his sheep (John 10) are complemented with his Kingship and authority. The reverential intimacy of the biblical authors is a far cry from a few contemporary lyrics, i.e. 'our fragrance is intoxicating in our secret place', or 'Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat. This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand'. For me, especially because there is no greater framework of reverential awe of God, these worship songs don't only feel biblically shallow compared to the old hymns, they actually make me feel uncomfortable.
Also, I listened to that song by Celine. While I would disagree strongly that we can sing any mainstream love song to Jesus if we 'remove the sex', I would say that Celine's song probably has better theology than some modern worship songs.
Because of your ministry of clouds without water I have benefited greatly. Apologetics and the study of the WOF and NAR is a passion of mine. I have some family members that are charismatic and I’ve had to set boundaries with them when my son visits them and goes to church with them. Thanks to you I’ve learned so much on how to defend my beliefs and point people to the truth lovingly. Thanks again Justin.

First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. It is well advised NOT to schedule your son's unshaporoned visits with them on on their "church" day.
These uploads have done wonders for my household as well. My sons will never have to grow up in WOF buildings. Speaking of which, I'd avoid the church attendance for your son if possible. You have no control over what does or doesn't happen there.

Justin, I actually met with Jenna back in 2015-16 for a "counseling" session my sister set me up with. I was incredibly unsettled the entire hour. The creepy way she had me bring memories back to mind and what not, trying to get "to the root of my issue", left me feeling horrible when I left her place. I don't know why I didn't get up and walk out but I sure felt unsettled for the rest of the day. I didn't know anything about Bethel "church" back then. creepy creepy creepy

As new believers we were in a crazy, heretical ministry similar to hers, called Cleansing Streams. I'm eternally grateful for Grace To You Ministry and Pastor John MacArthur, through him God delivered us from heresy to truth. Thankful for your faithful ministry as well and faithful Ministers who rightly divide God's word and expose error.

My first job with the State of Georgia was in a psychiatric hospital. There were a lot of patients who had similar encounters with Jesus. For some reason there is a strong correlation between mental illness and hyper religiousness.

it's important to show the condition of the church, I'm doing this for many years but still we are now near a nuclear war and musst prepare us, to be strong, so we need different food.
Jip, I have a brother who's been suffering with mental illness now for 25 years, he's had 21 psychotic breaks over the years and every time he gets totally obsessed with the Bible and he was convinced one time that he was the messiah. Truly is very strange.
Thank you so much for your ministry. I have family who is deep into the "name it, it" and "prosperity gospel" which lead me to seek the truth. During my surch I found your ministry and watched clouds without water, which is amazing. Through this search for truth and finding your ministry I started seeking out more deep theology so I would know why I believe what I believe and most importantly what the Bible says. Because of your ministry, I started listening to solid preachers like Washer, MacArthur, Baucham, Lawson, etc. I started having my husband watch all these videos with me, and our family continued to grow in Christ and get stronger together. This all happened during the start of the shutdown. Fast forward to now, and my husband is now in school to become a pastor. I said all this to say thank you and show you how God used your ministry to do these wonderful things in my family's life. My God bless you and hope to meet you someday!
I appreciate how kind and loving you are when you do your videos. There are other "watchmen" on YT that are awful to other people. I appreciate how humble and concerned you truly seem to be about the direction that these church leaders are taking. I really appreciate that you don't belittle, bully, or publicly call people in your chat when there are disagreements. You lovingly correct individuals with the Bible.
I've seen missionary's use their chat to call out people- Make fun and bullying them....in future videos.

Understand that others who call them out are also watchmen. The prophets of old openly rebuked the kings with no apology. People may see those prophets as being harsh and hard on the people of their days. However, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. They need to be called out. People's approaches might differ not because they are mean but just truth

So much damage has been done by Bethel and their associates. We need to stay strong, stay in the sound doctrine, never partake of their "product," and help those who are looking for the truth.

LC,....I find it hard to believe that Justin would recommend a woman, as women are to be silent in the church (about the things of God). A woman is to be in silence and is forbidden to try to teach anyone.
No Christian woman would ever try to teach as this woman does, and no Christian man or woman would ever recommend listening to a woman. Women are to be in silence, period!
The fact that this womans channel has the comments turned off already tells you she is not a Christian, as no Christian would not allow comments to what they have spoken, and no Christian would ever shadow ban anyone from commenting on their channel.

I am truly grateful for your online ministry, brother. I watch every episode! I appreciate the suggestive name of the show, Why Are Charismatics So Weird? It intimates, first, that charismatics act in strange ways, say strange things, and might even be a little "off." (Plenty there on which to build a show!) The title also implies that this program will offer reasons behind such charismatic weirdness. Anybody can develop a YT show highlighting the extremities of the charismatic movement. Laying out biblical reasons for such behavior, on the other hand, is no small task.

I’m so thankful for people like you making these videos. I grew up in charismatic churches, and I didn’t even realize what I was a part of and believing. I never realized it was mostly false until a year ago when I watched American gospel. My whole life so many things I heard or was taught did not make sense to me when I would read the Bible myself. Including the way some people romanticize Jesus! It always made me SO uncomfortable and I was made to feel like there was something wrong with ME for feeling that way. Gosh I’m so thankful God got me out of that world! It’s been a few years now since I stopped going to these kinds of churches and started listening to real Bible teachers, like you and John McArthur, and I’ve never felt so much peace and freedom in Christ like I do now!😭🙌🏼 I definitely feel like I have to start over and relearn everything. It’s a journey. But now I’m not under all that constant guilt and striving I’ve been under my whole life! Gods grace is sufficient and I finally understand that! It’s in Christ alone! 😭💖

I was raised in charismatic churches and I knew pastors that didn't even go to Bible college. When you lack a solid theological foundation you can be blown about pretty much anywhere. And when experiences and feelings are emphasized over knowledge and truth, you can see some weirdos.
You obviously missed the Holy Spirit, then . Feelings are a byproduct of a heart surrendered to Christ. But, be happy in your dead religion.
I am very blessed by your messages and the great exposition you do in exposing these false teachers and the NAR and charismatic movement, but especially for standing up for God and His word. I left a charismatic church in January. A groeöwing feeling of the church acting like a cult finally got to me.
One day in January I was testing the Spirit to reveal the truth of this church and I didn't get a positive answer.
These clergy are dangerous and I thank the, Lord I'm out today. 🙏🏽

Thank you for this Justin. This makes me want to cry as I used to follow people like this. I’ve never heard of this woman but will pray for her. I would be interested to know your thoughts on Mike Thompson? Unfortunately, I used to listen to him when I was caught up in the NAR/WOF. He talks a lot about Donald Trump and America etc.
I still at times feel so much guilt for following these individuals but I am truly grateful for the mercy of God for pulling me out and am so grateful for his Forgiveness and love. Thank you for all you do! God Bless!!

Thank you for sharing the truth in love, and revealing the false teachers, false preachers, and false prophets in these last days. I appreciate your ministry greatly. Your videos have revealed far more than I ever knew existed, and in many cases confirmed what I already knew to be heretical. The sad thing is that the people speaking these falsehoods and outright lies appear to believe their own delusions! Whether it's snowmen, or Roberts Liardon having a splash fight with Jesus in the River of Life, or Kat Kerr talking about Jesus having a sweet tooth and loving "Christmastown," have you noticed that they tend to make Jesus into a goofy child? I mean, sure, Jesus had a sense of humor in the Gospels and probably does more than what was recorded, but there's a difference between that and the cotton-candy munching prankster "Buddy Jesus" that these charismatics depict.

@@lisalancework7999 They treat God with all the reverence I treat the toys on my shelf. They're nice things to look at and I'm careful to dust them and keep them in good shape, but they certainly aren't objects of worship.

These women are insane 😮😳 I am so thankful to God, that He changed me and opened my eyes to see the truth! Now I can say that I am saved and I am happy because God brought me to your channel! About a year ago me and my husband stopped visiting our local church because the pastor was no good for us and the worship group sings songs from Hillsong and Elevation. Since than we haven’t go to any church because in our city it is impossible to find a Biblical church and we are thinking that we should move to another city.
And boy, are these people (like her and Beth Moore and others) really raking it in! Makes me furious. Been going to my church, conservative, for about 14 years. When I first started, the ladies would study around a book some gal put out. I afforded, but it was tough for me, and when the next one came along, I told Pastors wife=I’ll be best if we just study out of the Word. And we’ve done it ever since. She felt like me, that we get more from the Word of God thank Strange women...

Speaking of "hucksters": about 7 years ago, while I was working for Barnes & Noble Booksellers, we had a book signing with Joel Osteen. He was in town doing a conference and he did a signing at my store. I was working in our backroom when they brought him in. He had a huge security detail with him. He acknowledged me basically by saying "Hey, how you doing" while walking towards our sales floor. I already knew he was a charlatan and had no intrest in meeting him. My only thought at the time was a reaction to how short he was.

Some preachers actually work for the Kingdom of Darkness. They transferred demons to people in conferences during the altar calls and during deliverance.
Some people, after receiving deliverance or an alta call, started having the visitations of Jesus.

@keep humble it’s so sad. These people are making it about them. Jesus said He comes back one more time, not periodic visits with random people. Maybe in Matt 24 Jesus was warning us about these people who claim Jesus was here or there. Jesus said don’t believe it.
For about 25 years I loved doing Beth Moore bible studies. 4 years ago, I came across a video Justin did on Beth Moore. He shared things about her I never knew. I did more research on her and found I could no longer do her bible studies. Now I find out about the SBC. It breaks my heart to know that so many Christians have turned away from sound doctrine. However, the bible did warn us that this was going to happen. Are we living in the last days?
