The 911 turbo 3.6 964 , and the 911 turbo 993, had identical 0-60 number when motorweek tested them, 4 second dead, but the 993 911 turbo, s true 0-60 times is more like 3.7 seconds, thank in part to A.W.D. regardless, they are two timeless classics, that anyone would be happy owning. My preference however, as much as i like the 911 3.6 964, i would rather have the 911 turbo 993.

0-60 in 4.0 in 1994 WITH A MANUAL. On top of that from Motorweek no less. They average a full second behind the magazines on 0-60 runs of every other ‘90s sports car.

A true Classic 👌! I remember getting a ride in one of these on the test track in Weissach, with slicks on, while it was still in development. The will never forget that experience! Let’s just say that the test driver was VERY familiar with their track 👍!

I guess the $99K /1994 dollars is why the common man fast cars of the day (pony cars) didn't completely lose their face. But looking at the engine compartment's tight clearance, it should have sticker, 'no user serviceable parts inside. Contact your stealer-ship with credit card in hand, pants down'.

had to watch this one twice! the final generation of 911 that i was interested in, and i couldn't believe that cutie was so gentle with the shifter!
the door mirrors are a bit too organic in shape and those wheels have aged poorly, otherwise this was as perfect as the 911 ever got

Porsche has always threatened to discontinue the 911 turbo because of "low demand" every time there's been a new generation of the 911 coming over the last 25 years.
It's actually a pretty clever marketing trick because it creates the air of artificial scarcity where there actually is none which drives up sales of the outgoing version and therefore creates "demand" for a new version even though they never intended to cancel it.

Man that launch was absolutely atrocious 😳.....if they managed to get to 60 in 4 seconds with a bog that bad off the line, im fairly confident that a driver mod could've gotten them in the 3.9 seconds to 60 range and a 11.9 quarter mile.....
