Did you forget that Bluetooth's default in pairing mode is that another device can search for and 'capture' the pairing device auto-magically? That was like *the* OG way to use it. This is totally unrelated to the fact that I recently forgot about this...
I actually did not know this was ever a thing. Had some hilarious speaker wars at work though when people forget they've set to automatically pair with someone else's speaker and the other person turns on their speaker in another area.

Replacing the belts on your turntable is a normal maintenance practice. Thats why the original versions of this turn table are wildly expensive, because its trivial to fix one thats not working.
When you pulled out Blue Oyster Cult I was like "Oh, everyone tells me to listen to that album but I never did" You talking over like 8 seconds of them "Alright I'll spin it today that was fuckin cool"
I always wanted to play with one of those laser record players. I want to know how much of the records noise comes through or if they are filtering it (i hope not).
Truth. It was specifically done because with physical turntables it was super easy to do, and then in the land of computer editing it's almost exactly a 35% speedup. It became popular in the early days of youtube as a way around copyright (or more specifically copyright striking bots) because to get it back to normal speed you slowed the sped up music back to 74%. Popular control plugins (even before YT's built in speed control) had 75% speed settings. That 1% was noticeable, IF you knew what to listen for, but as a way to listen to new-ish music without having to spend money it was awesome for figuring out if the price would be worth it.

It's how the thing clamps down and has the disc sticking out the sides like a burger, it was meant to be a novelty product like the sony flamingo so they capitalised on the daft appearance.
The Sound Burger is a super fun turntable! One thing to note is that apparently you're supposed to use the rubber 45 adaptor doohickey as like a record clamp on top of regular LPs, it helps a bit with the stability since there's not a full size turntable. I got mine from JB and I got one of the yellow ones because it seemed like the most fun colour!
For me, vinyl is only worth it when you got a tube amp and a gold tape mastered press. Nothing digital, 100% analog from guitar to groove. From tom to track. From pickup to press. From condenser to cartridge. Digital mastering and recording takes away from that. But even then, you're only really appreciating the frequency response (and engineer tuning) of the equipment used to master it. BUT, there's something to be said about that too! because nothing sounds quite like an 808.
I missed the limited edition rerelease but got the standard black later. Exactly what I need it for, a dedicated simple compact portable record player for dedicated record time. It has a line out (so you'll need an amp or whatever), the USB-C is just for power, but it is simple as. No auto stop, but perfect for my needs otherwise :)
3:40 fun thing with vinyls you can do now, here in britain we have moved to plastic notes for money (hate the production of plastic for that but hey ho) and you can take the corner of one of those notes and use it as the stylus, and basically turn the thin plastic bank note as a gramaphone and listen to the music like that.

I have done A+B Testing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of different speakers over the years for different clients purchasing / repairing equipment to show them just how good records are comparatively to CD's, and every single person prefers the vinyl. The cost issue aside / difficulty in properly setting up a turntable, is the physical medium itself. THESE are the reasons people went to CD's, Not because in any way they "sounded Better" They were just 100X more convenient for EVERYONE. (And why again people went for a loss of quality with mp3's from CD's, the convenience, even now the majority of music people listen to is sub CD Quality, Spotify etc.) SACD is the best of both worlds, the quality of vinyl with the ease of use of CD's. Just again, limited by cost, and the limited library. Not even mentioning the difference in amplifiers / speakers, cartridge / needle types..
For me, the joy of vinyl is that it’s inconvenient! Streaming has commodified music to the point that it’s easy to forget how special it actually is. But if I put an album on the turntable, I’m sitting down, and focusing on it. Not skipping to my favourite tracks, just listening to it from start to finish.
@@LieseFury i dunno, unless "bone conduction" is just a fancy marketing word and it is not _actual_ bone conduction, I wouldn't trust any commercial product to listen to music that way. I know probably nobody knows what the cricket one was but it is an Aussie legend called The Twelfth man and he was a cricket satire comedian and he was awesome. Although some of his jokes are a bit edgy and of the time, if you enjoy cricket it is a great thing to listen to and is great for long summer roadies
The bluetooth working automatically is cool but I definitely get the concerns... I turned on my noise-cancelling headphones at a concert once to save my ears the trouble, somehow they connected to some knucklehead's phone and started BLASTING sicko mode. Just had to make do with the physical muffling effect from the earcups themselves and hope for the best.
It baffles me to this day. One, the opening band was already playing??? Two, surely whoever owned the device knew that random people could tap into it, right? Seems like a security flaw. My phones throw a fit when I try to connect to them normally...
I've special ordered a picture LP with Scarlet Fire, but it's coming in from England, and I don't intend on shipping it to south Australia so wade has something to blow up headphones

5:17 Ah, for me that album was TARKUS by Emmerson Lake & Palmer. My dad had it, I was entranced by the album art, but, I didn't really *listen* to it until ages later.
Never thought it'd be in my lifetime I'd see a bluetooth speaker spitting out a vinyl
Yes. Yes it's called The Sound Burger.
I love records! They're album posters you can listen to. With how tight fisted Spotify are with artists I always pick up a record if I really like the album to support them
Wade if you wanna stretch the video to 10 minutes to make more $$$ we gotcha. More Dank more fun.
If a BT device is in PAIRING MODE, it's visible to any thing in a 10 metre range and can be connected to.
You telling me he has car focused channel ...??? How fucking cool!
What happened to the last two plushies on makeship? I really wanted to get the original 1 grit 😢
Get this man a Scarlet Fire vinyl STAT!
I've special ordered a picture LP with Scarlet Fire, but it's coming in from England, and I don't intend on shipping it to south Australia so wade has something to blow up headphones
The record (or sound) is the meat to the bun that is the device, making a sound burger.
The legend is back! Speaking of jankyness, I a watched this entire video on my old CRT monitor from the 90s. It is great to see you back to vinyl! I just got a Project Debut Carbon Evo Turntable and it sounds amazing.
I really wish I could give you money because I’m really really thankful of all the videos that you have been posting for us to watch for these years. Thanks for making a legacy of IPods and turned out to be different type of products. I’ve been watching it since you only had 300,000 subscribers, it’s just so amazing to see how far your account has gone.. keep doing the great work Dank Pods!❤️
Sound Burger. It's the burger that sounds delicious.
Can imagine some audiophile cringing so hard at the prospect of a vinyl being played trough regular Bluetooth
Vinyl is such an experience. Reading the vinyl casez. Havi g all of that info about the band, the reason why they made the album, images, trivia, and so on. Its sooooo good. People knew how to package a product back in the day.
You're a vinyl guy but you've got no cleaning brush?
"I've got my parents vinyl collection" and then pulls out Killers! Excellent!
Can you wipe it off on the bottom of a restaurant table?
I want the flamingo, and does it come in pink?
*So does this take Big Mac's and In & Out Burgers*
I love how it’s called sound burger
YOOOO I NEED A YELLOW ONE
I really enjoy how knowledgeable you are with technical terms really helps me get a sense of the quality. For instance, "kind squishy up top" is the best descriptor I have ever heard. 😆
