I just like to hang in the thang while I watch... to tease myself... ya know, with the possibility that today might really be THE day... it's kinda hot!
Hey, man. I stumbled across one of your videos (The Suffering, IIRC) pretty much by coincidence this morning. On one hand, I'm sad that I have only just discovered your channel...but on the other hand, it means I have a hefty backlog of videos to watch. Just since this morning, I've gone through at least a half-dozen game reviews, one of which got me through the otherwise mind-numbing drive I had to make for my quarantine food restocking. You're thorough without feeling like the video is padded, easy on the ears, and a fan of the kind of self-deprecating humor that I can enjoy for equally self-deprecating reasons. Needless to say, you earned this new sub. The little squeal of delight when you read MandaloreGaming off your Patreon list would have cinched it, too, but that came after the sub (heyo!).
Dude your channel is fucking awesome. I dont know why the hell it doesn't have more subscribers when your releasing great vids like this one. Joining the pateron and hoping to see more vids like this one in the future. Good luck out there my dude. Hope you gain a fuck load more subs while were all trapped in our homes.
I played Conarium a few years ago and remember being rather confused about how the plot tied together. Your idea that Gilman was dimension-hopping even while he was speaking in tongues to his colleagues seems like the perfect explanation that I missed.
Do you need financial help man? I'm sure we would be happy to pitch in to help keep you making content during the outbreak. Let us know, we love you homie.
You can donate to Grim on Patreon( patreon.com/grimbeard ) or Paypal ( paypal.me/grimbeard ). That's what all the names he called off a the end were from, my man.
16:24 The terror in this video is being suddenly transported back to all those times you stayed up way too late and the sound of new age CD infomercials signaled that you would not be getting sleep before school tomorrow.
LMAO!!!! 13:29 I honestly just love your videos regardless of the format or what it is you're talking about. The quality in your videos and your method of explaining topics with a macabre flair to your content makes your channel stand on its own regardless of what games you decide to review.
I just found your channel, been binge watching your playlists. I love your sense of humor, been cracking up laughing out loud. 😆 especially at 14:28 - the music stops and you sound so awkward and endearing at the same time
Narcosis was one of the first VR games that I played with free movement as opposed to the teleport method. I originally though free movement would be way more immersive.. No. As soon as I started moving I felt nauseous. Like REALLY nauseous. I lasted maybe 5 minutes.
Jesus man when I first found your channel I was like "what's those boppers"? And then turns out those are your own, goddamn! Great job man, both videos and the music. But I'd still like to ask, which track you made you usin in the story sections of your reviews?
Fun fact, crabs have evolved several times across evolution. It is literally the only multi-cellular organism to re-evolve every time. It's just that efficient apparently.
The Conarium guys are some of my favorite developers. I lurve them games. Narcosis was kinda boring for me, but that fricken ending was A+++, among the best I've ever experienced. That dawning realization of what was happening was like nothing else.
..commenting early, cause the field of flowers was more specifically a field of poppies, which holds some amount of significance as the sap of poppies is used to make opium, morphine, and then heroin, as well as some connotations to wartime
I been umm-ing an' ahh-ing about 'Conarium' unsure as to whether I should or not. However, being that you mention the same team made 'Loath Nolder' I'm now gonna go for it. Played 'Loath Nolder' way back in the day when it first released and was well impressed by the story. Good Call x
Glad to see the phone back. I missed that lil' charmer. HE always knows what to say to make a man feel like he's done a full hard day's work. Any chance we can get a tour of your Animal Crossing island?
I think cosmic horror video game stories often suffer from being too long. It's not that I don't like longer stories of that type. I just think that intentionally inscrutable story elements can be difficult to effectively maintain over a longer story.
>feeling insignificant and small with fish I like the sound of that. Poetic. 19:42 the half-suit is definitely a Deepstar Six reference! My childhood favorite. A very underrated movie.
Hey Grim! Just found this game called Nauticrawl, played a bit and imidiately felt I'd love to see your review on it - so here's my suggestion, you really might enjoy it! Just don't drop it right away, it needs some time to figure out what to do and how to play. Love to ya xx
Conarium. I'm gonna have to get that. Sounds right up my alley, especially with the music. I always try to make my music sound multicultural and such. Did you ever get into Sinking City at all?
I love how negative reviews are positive reviews for some people, Like when i found a rpg and someone say to easy and to grindy, what for me means dont grind and will be hard .Ergo fun
I had bought Narcosis a few years back on my birthday because I thought that a surreal horror game/character study that takes place at the bottom of the ocean is an amazing idea. I quickly realized however that I found the clunky gameplay pretty frustrating. I also didn't particularly like the game's weird inclusion of jumpscares at some points since it doesn't really work with the atmosphere. I wanted to like the game a lot more than I do but it just didn't really resonate. However, I think the game completely nails its atmosphere and the ending is great.
Liked this format of checking out more idies... I dont remember if you ever did Amnesia the Dark Descent but would like to see it, especially the Switch version
You rascally demon stalker. I like this channel. I’m very tired. I want to say something insightful that would be a spark of hope in these dark times but I can’t think of anything. I like this channel.
I really appreciate you calling out every single one of your patrons. Unfortunately I recently changed my TH-cam name from SurvivalHorror100 to Inside My Strange Place, but I'm sure you can run through all the names again next month right? ;) Kidding. Thanks for doing that though. Really sweet gesture.
To be honest, when you said "I want to try out a new format" my first thought was
"oh. so that means he is using the good mic right from the start?"
Good mics are overrated. Check out the legend Noah Caldwell Gervois
@@АлексейЛогинов-ж1ц Noah's mic works just fine for his flat tone of voice and is fairly clear for his delivery.
@@captainstarlight3780 Noah doesn't even bother to edit out places when he stumbled but that's his style I guess

GITCHER TWOFER!!!
Love the vids, love your tunes. Blurred Photo of A Woman is my chillin jam.
Agreed
My favorite track Grim beards done is "You're not supposed to do this" His new intro song!!!
I love that youre focusing on smaller games to make smaller videos, but youre still doing two games so that we get nice, fat, 43 minute video.
Calling Rene Decartes Deckard Cain actually had me laugh out loud.
What's your favourite H.P. Minecraft story?
Colour out of Space and Rats in the Walls.
"Fucking Caves And Cliffs Are Ruining White Society" and "My Cat Is The Phernological Perfection Of His Subrace"
the tried and true Shadow Over Innsmouth
My favorite H.P story is "a pimp named Slickback"
Inside the Notch house

@12:22 absolutely read my whole mind on that part. Where games are *too* "hand-holdy", this game wants nothing to do with your hand whatsoever
