I have a small B series Kubota that is paid for. Seriously thinking about selling it to buy one of these for my junk removal business. I think it can do everything my Kubota can do, but in a more compact design for tighter places and city yards.
How are you able to go up and down the ramps on the dump trailer with the stand on skid steer? Are your ramps longer than the standard 6 footers? I have a Wacker Neuson SM100 and I would just about flip it if I tried going forwards and backwards on the dump trailer ramps like that. Was looking at buying longer ramps possibly.
The trailer sets lower than most dump trailers. That's why I bought that trailer! Ramps are standard length for the dump trailer. I researched trailers a lot before I bought one to make sure it was low enough. It's super scary going in and out of that trailer on any trailer that sits higher!
What machine u recommend. ? Most Chinese mini cannot lift high enough to go over trailer walls. This is a genius idea !!! To go on ramps !!!! Now i can just get that cheap gas machine !!! What u think about drt 450
I like the Vermeer 925 but more expensive than Chinese machines. I'd just be worried of how they would up over time. I can't imagine they would hold their value either. But possibly a good way to get started. I honestly only know about the Vermeer 925 and I used to run the smaller sized Toro. So I am not a good judge on anything else unfortunately. Keep in mind going in and out of the trailer can be tricky sometimes. And you want to be as low as possible at the tailgate. The trailer I am using is a PJ Low Pro Dump. Their tailgate sits much lower than most dump trailers. It's scary as you know what trying to get up a steep trailer!
Awesome video. Im looking to add something like this to lawn care services due to the request. I know price will be different from different areas. But how do usually quote a job like this? Thanks
Wicked Root Grapple made by Everything Attachments. Great Grapple but be forewarned that if using it like I do in my videos it will break on you eventually. I have bought 2 of them now but second one I beefed up in all the weak spots before using it. It has since started to break again at new weak spot! But if you have welder all easy to repair. I'd really like a model thats slightly beefed up more but this one works fine. So it's not a bad Grapple I just use it to the extreme most days so it's mostly the operator!
I have been in business for 20 years so mostly word of mouth/referrals. But I do get jobs thru website people finding my name on the internet. If you do a great job every time, communicate with customers that will be most beneficial!
loving your videos! sorry for all the questions! how's your Vermeer handle those ramps into the trailer? video seems like you handle going in pretty well but it is speed up so hard to gauge that part lol. do you do your own servicing? Have you determined operation cost for this machine over your years of use? I really appreciate any knowledge you share Schott!

Handles ramps fine. But wouldn't go up any higher on a trailer. Not sure on servicing cost. I do as much maintenance as I can
