Done istallling..whats the next?
I’m incredibly flattered to be the subject of this video, thank you so much for the feature!
Every idea is on-point and I would also like to share my writing process for my scripts (funnily enough I’m writing one right now) for anyone who wants to try.
First, put your raw thoughts on a Gdoc. Just write, put them there, don’t edit or try to fix them as you’re writing. Just put whatever you feel you want to say in your video onto the script.
Then you take a long break and don’t think about the script. Go for a run, take a shower, have lunch, whatever.
Then once you’ve cleared your head, you go back to the script and remove parts that you feel don’t fit, or you can add in parts that you feel would benefit the video more like a quippy joke or a profound insight.
Repeat the latter two steps until satisfied.
The reasoning for this is that when you’re making a script, you might feel more creative and then just let those ideas flow-and you should let those ideas come out because they could be good!
Then you return with a critical mindset after you’ve written out your raw thoughts and crop out the ideas that you don’t feel should be in the video.
This is how I make a script, it won’t work for everyone, but it might work for you. And ironically, I did actually learn it from my English teacher.
Good luck to everyone trying to grow their channels!
Definitely appreciate the tip will be trying it out myself can't wait to see how it goes.
Thanks for the advice!❤

I'm 100% sure that if you don't give up, you will get there!
Just wanted to share this. I've been using the free version of VidIQ...it helped. But I recently upgraded to the Pro, looked at best posting time, and man! What a difference! Not sure if it was the video topic, title, or purely the posting time but that simple change made a huge difference. Where I was getting 20 to 30 vph, I got 100+ vph, captured viewers I hadn't before, gained lots more engagement, and gained 35 subs from my last upload. This may seem small to some but this is a huge win and boost of encouragement for me. Thanks VidIQ!😊
I'm always recommending, even the free version, to channels I see with 200 subs. But a100 videos! I try to politely let them know they need some insights, to make all that hard work pay off.
So when is the best posting time? And how often?
You don't need vidiq to look at your audience analytics 💀

In my experience creating multiple channels in multiple niches :
-Every time I posted only one video to test things out, it blew up!
-Every time I posted more than one video, things were slow.
-Posting a 2nd video on the channel stopped the 1st video's growth.
-In both cases, posting the 2nd video resulted in the algorithm to get confused about the niche. Explanation:
When you have only one video, you can't niche down more than this! The algorithm will do a great job at finding an audience for your channel, which might not be the audience you had in mind. Let's say you start a channel on cute pets, and post a funny cat video. If you then post a cute dog video (within your niche, right?), no matter if your cat video was posted the day before or had time to blow up, the algorithm niched down as much as possible, and thinks your channel is about funny cats, not cute pets. This results in YT trying to push your dog video to your cat audience, trying to figure things out. This audience likes cats, not dogs, so they don't click, and your 2nd video tanks. YT get's confused and tanks your 1st video too..
I have seen it countless times, created channels for the sole purpose of testing it, and it can be proved by monitoring what your videos come up for in Search Results. You will see your 2nd Niche video will be shown to people looking for the very niched down topic of your 1st video. (and they don't care about it, it's a too narrow audience.)
In the results of my experiments on the topic, the quality didn't matter/help when YT gets the audience wrong (showing dogs to cat lovers, showing a Two Feet rock music video to people who love feet, showing Riri video to Ariana Grande fans, etc.).
In short : Posting only one video is the most Niched Down post possible, and has much more potential to blow up, but will most likely die when posting more videos UNLESS you go down the niche that YT picked for your 1st video. DON'T keep going with the broader niche you originally had in mind.
Keep going everyone . One day it will happen 🎉🎉
One day, my TH-cam channel will be deleted from TH-cam FOREVER

I am on 64,000 subscribers now! But finding it hard to grow :(
Considering there are only 2 mil out of 38 mil active channels on TH-cam that are earning ad revenue, I would say you are doing very well even if the algorithm has slowed you down for now. It will pick up again.
@@SonetLandman Thanks mate, hopefully!
Use shorter titles, do better keyword research to find more trending topics in the fitness niche, copy the format in your most viral short but with a different idea, and improve the lighting in your thumbnails!
Those were all tips that I thought you needed most just looking at your videos. I haven’t even watched one yet. The next step would be looking at your retention graphs and finding the biggest drop offs. Then, go to competitors in the fitness niche like the channel “Goal Guys” and go to the timeframe where you noticed a drop off. Gather inspiration from what they do so you can increase retention. You also should make sure that the length of the video corresponds to what fitness viewers want to see!
That’s amazing
Good luck to everyone who’s till fighting for their dreams

I see huge potential, clicked out of curiosity and really liked what you said at the start of your channel video. Life has no guarantees. Great truth to those who are willing to hear it.
These are really good tips.... It just disheartening to know that in order to be successful on TH-cam, you need to create content the masses want, not what you want. I have an incredibly niche channel on a subject that most don't even know about or interested in. Although as my production quality increases for my videos, I've seen an increase in views, likes, etc. It's just at a pace that makes it hard for someone who works full time to dedicate the time to do it. I've thought about creating a second channel dedicated to a more popular subject in an effort to cross promote my main channel, the channel that I care most about.
The Film Booth channel had a quote on their community page that resonated with me. "The title and thumbnail matter more than the video." Sadly, this is 100% true and it's painful reality of how TH-cam works. At the end of the day, if you want to be successful on TH-cam early on, you have to do what the TH-cam algorithm wants (the boss) until you get big enough to do what you want.
Somewhat true I have another channel that I completely do what I want and got over 1k Subs in like a year
@@NomadicKitty that was also the case with my channel but the growth is super challenging. It’s a full time job plus some for sure if you want it to succeed. I guess nothing is for free though. It’s just tough as I know a couple TH-camrs who have been on the platform posting 300+ long form videos who are just now (after several years of creating content) seeing exponential growth. That’s quite the commitment! Still, I hold out hope for my channel. Just gotta stick it out a bit longer.
You actually have a pretty fascinating niche. And if you actually took the advice on making better thumbnials/titles, your channel would grow. Your thumbnails actually SUCK! They are boring and that is why no one clicks. But.... the timelapse CNC videos are pretty cool. But no one will see how cool your CNC machine videos are because your thumbnails don't create any "open loops" to trigger curiosity and cause people to click on your videos.
Spend time on YT and learn about crafting better thumbnails. Your issue is a fairly easy problem to fix.
@@Remember-Death I definitely agree with you there. My thumbnail are horrible.
Literally struggling the past few years to get to 500 i hope this helps
Good luck mate hope you get 1000 subs soon!
It took me two years to hit 1k
The algorithm let most beginner channels take 2 years to reach 1000 subs and 3 years to get 4000 watch hours.
Thanks for that LittleHarry7977 I appreciate it 😄 I've been on the platform 7years can't even reach 1000 so I hoping to hit 500 at least
What are you doing different to separate yourself from the majority of other content creators in the same niche? What elements can take from more popular YT Channels and apply to yours? The fact that you aren't using thumbnails correctly ALREADY tells me something about you; You haven't properly done your "homework." It's insane that you haven't hit 500 subs and you've been uploading content for 7 years.
You need to approach YT from a business perspective and NOT from a gamers perspective. Study your niche AND your competition.
Let’s keep going, everyone. Whatever the next milestone is for you, you’ll reach it, if you don’t quit.
Yes gogogo push harder ❤

Good stuff! Let's just keep grinding and looking for viral topics 😬
It took my team around 8 regular videos and 3 Shorts before we hit our first 1000 subscribers. And this was before our 100k+ Short. All of our subscribers mostly came from long form videos. I honestly never expected this kind of rapid growth to happen. But I am very grateful it did
Great job!
@@vidIQ Thank you😄!
How please trick
There are a lot of creators in my niche (editing TV/film characters into other things) and some that get 1M+ views, but there's only one other person in my sub-niche. So there's low Supply, and due to a mix of obsessive fanbases I'm hoping there will be at least medium Demand. Probably not enough Demand to go viral or even break 10k subs, but I'm fine with modest success. Only 191 subs so far but comments from people who enjoyed my last video are spurring me on to keep going!
Thank you so much ❤❤
I don’t even need to watch the video to know this is click bait. Yes there are a handful of channels out of millions that may reach the goal but the rest will fall well short.
Right!!
Yip
It's NOT clickbait. It's just a good content creator who did research and understands the craft of thumbnails/script writing.
Nah, not clickbait. It's teaching a method. One that works consistently. You're right that only a handful of channels reach it, but that's because they don't put enough effort in which just comes from lack of understanding.
The video says it takes heaps of time and effort into preproduction which a lot of people don't put in.
This is unfortunately true
Thank you for always breaking these topics down in easy-to-digest videos! I've started a very small channel, now it's time to put in the work. We got this!
I mainly focus on Sims 4 lets plays on my channel right now, I’m struggling for how to plan any sort of script or anything really because I’m never really sure whats going to happen. I’d love some advice on how other creators deal with this. On the plus side I’ve gained a few subscribers in the last couple of weeks so I’m feeling pretty positive 😊
thanks to these videos i finally got to 10K SUBSCRIBERS!!!
im pretty sure its because I picked a sub niche that I kinda worked in for some time (2 years ago I had an old channel where I posted the same content that I post now)
so i was kind of good at it already! I think its even important to make ur audience interact more , for example I got followers who comment on every videi that I post (and they are always active!) ^^
I started posting 3 months ago so getting to 10k this quickly was kind of surpising
Thanks for the tips!
I planned on making a video today/tomorrow so I'll try some of these tips out then come back and edit this with the results!
Also, I noticed the Demand Hacking strategy and sticking to one sub niche, but I want to make variety gaming content. I also see some youtubers like Dragoon who make variety gaming content and pull millions of views and even youtubers like Alpharad who do the same but with a mix of gaming and irl content!
Just an idea, but it could be interesting to look into how these channels do this.
Hi, Vidiq team. How you doing ?
Btw One question - Is it any good to hide subscribers count ?
(Like hiding and not hiding it affect channel growth)
Hey, guys! Thaanks so much for your advices, I have now over 1.4K subscribers and working hard for more! Cheers and good luck everybody!
Thanks for the information. I just started my channel and pray for subscribers.
focused but calm, sometimes being in a hurry can make a mess
I am still not sure what my niche is much less my sub-niche but I am still trying to improve my editing and production with each video. My concern isn't so much growth right now but trying to create content I can be proud of. I hope everyone here will get 1000 subs from their next video upload! Keep up the hard work.
I started youtube 3 years ago and I have 243 subs. I'm really proud of myself but I wish my channel was growing at a faster rate, I get down on myself thinking why doesn't anyone like me, is it my art that they don't like, is it me or is youtube just very hard to get into. I watched hours worth of your videos and others and use vid iq all the time but none of the advice I watch seem to help. I dont want to give up but im struggling to keep my audience from clicking off my video within 3 minutes
DONT GIVE UP GUYS, WE CAN REACH 1K!!!
I posted shorts almost daily for 6 weeks. I haven't posted hn about 5 days, because my views just fell off a cliff, all of a sudden. From getting thousands of views regularly, it went to near nothing, just like that. gave up. Now I have 639 subs, and nothing to feed them.
I have seen some of my competitors with fewer videos and subscribers after me who have already achieved monetization. What I notice is that they have 1 or 2 videos that have gone viral, all their subscribers come from that video. This happened to me too in my own small way, I have 2 videos that went very well by my standards and most of the subscribers come from there. It takes patience and luck, but still a minimum of quality.
upcoming creator! DAY 1🔥🔥lets see how much subs this will gain
After 1 year and 2 months im on my way to 10k subs . No wer close to monetization 😢
So close to 500, mentally struggling a little bit, wish me luck!
Thanks for the lesson!
Your experience and views allow you to really open yourself up to creating a successful promotion.
This man is the ONLY REASON small content creators have NOT GIVEN UP, like everyone in the comments are saying, DONT GIVE UP GUYS!!!
For some weird reasons, my second ever long format video went "viral" and so I reached 1.000 subscribers quickly and completely unexpectedly after I think 1 month since uploading my first video. This actually scared me quite a lot, starting out and already having quite a few people watching your videos while you're learning how to make them is quite stressing. Anyway, I still trying to figure out what happened there 😅

I need help. I have 174k subs. I tried to monetize but i got denied for reused content. I want to erase that content because I have moved on to live streaming. I get decent views on live streams, I have plenty of hours but if im not going to get monetized, i dont want to erase anything. Im very conflicted as I now work with many projects that I live stream for. it would be nice to be monetized but I dont need to be. Is it worth it or is it too late? I never even wanted to do shorts. It was a fluke that i have a short with 40 million views. Any suggestions would be nice. By thr way I never had any intention on making money off of other peoples work. So where do you include the sub-niche, on your thumbnails or in your videos?
Will TH-cam ever start counting time from shorts towards hours required?
Our channel got monetized after 8 videos in 4 months. Automotive dad and daughter in the garage niche. Lots of fun, very little “how to”.
As a lowly newbie rain channel in a sea of rain channels, I've adopted the motto: Just keep swimming. We'll get there. Good luck everyone!
Hi, you have a very unique, cute concept in the niche of relaxation music and sounds. You should make it. Your real estate properties are beyond enchanting and you know what is so fascinating? It always rain in that part of the world.

So what happens when his viewers get tired of "DOTA AND LEGEND" video games...dont be discouraged guys if you're looking to build a platform where you can connect with your audience...do the work, be patient and you will see result... being a TH-camr with a strong foundation takes time... and enjoy your process, trust me you will find the right audience for you... just work on publishing your first 100 videos and you'd see how your TH-cam skills would get better....the key word for you should be BUILDING FOUNDATION and not just satisfying and need that arises due to trends... focus on building and channel that would be relevant even in 10 years....get your audience to love you, that's all
This video is a good strategy to get subscribers and views...but it isn't sustainable for a longer period of time... except you're not looking to make TH-cam your full time career
This is great advice
