Lara. I couldn't agree with you more. Zhenya's phenomenal. If I could, I'd put this vid on repeat and watch it over 'n over 'n over again. Already watched it 4 times. Have you seen her SP this year yet? She skates to Chopin Nocturne No. 20. It's hypnotizing.
she is INCREDIBLE!! one of my favorite skaters-- she puts so much raw emotion into her performance that it doesnt become a contest, it becomes a show. also excellent taste in music, i love la la land.
This is delightful. I wouldn't have thought a program with such a heavy tone would fit with this music ('sweeping' and 'nostalgic' were the first descriptions that came to my mind), but it really works, and I love the frothy lightness of the program it made. Lovely editing!
Omg she killed it!! She was amazingly graceful, it was like she was walking on air and her stamina must be incredible to pull off so many jumps in the second half :O
Though I do love the perfomance on its own merrits, I cannot help but thing that the whole skirt-stuff is just there to give the impression of panty-shots -- it does not quiite help when the performer is not quite off age. Now, feel free to kill me, if you please.
