Great another video taking me deeper down the rabbit hole of making wizards and apprentices on the site. Also making an octopus headed leader for ghost archipelago, ooooh maybe a voodoo masked witch doctor leader using his tribe to find the fountain. My brain is on fire. Still waiting for Peachy Tales
Well, I'm glad more people are getting into Frostgrave. It is one of the best tabletop wargames. I've been playing anything Joe puts out for the last 7 years.
fantastic- im just about to get into frostgrave now too....sooo many ideas lol! love to see how this develops, also fascinated by the 3D printing side and programming, toying with idea of getting a printer and alot of that inspired by you bud , especially after Old World vids! great stuff!
I got addicted to these games… frostgrave/Stargrave about a year ago. My new favorite by the same author is Silver Bayonet- Napoleonic Horror! Pretty much can’t beat that!
Frostgrave is so good. You build a warband in no time. You paint a warband with ease. You play a game with no hassle. You build some more, repeat... until you plan a completely new warband. And then there's the terrain... It falls in the "so fun it's embarassing" range of games.
I blame Peachy's video too, I've kinda got complacent with how GW's minis look that simpler looking minis seem very meh to me, but after watching his video and painting up mini that's more simple I'm now chomping at the bit to get more Great video as always Andy
The nice thing about Frostgrave is you invest as much as you want into it and that's what you get out rather than the immense startup costs and effort with other games
Welcome to Frostgrave! You are really going to want to take an apprentice or in a few of the books they have expert level soldiers called captains or Wardens. These take the place of your apprentice and are like expert fighters. Personally I think you should just make an apprentice that you could say happens to be another low lv wizard working with your wizard. Maybe lost their master or something. Your warband will feel the disadvantage of not have the extra fire power of having a second spellcaster. Also get a tacklebox for all of your bits. If you buy one Soldier box for Frostgrave you are set for your warband and you have options for a second. or upgrades. I've been collecting for like 20 years and all of my bits fit into like 2 tackleboxes if you just cut them off the sprue. Regardless have fun!
Cool concept. I have used a similar program before for Pathfinder/Starfinder minis before and its always fun trying to get the thought concept into action. Last year friends and I made representations of our LARP characters at the end of a long campaign to commerate.
Loving playing about on Eldritch Foundry, endless choices! Not ordered anything yet as don’t own a 3D printer. How does the scale compare to 40k? Has anyone reduced the scale to fit and if so by how much? Hoping if I get the file will be able to find someone local to print it for me.
Eldritch foundry seems to have a very nice payment solution. Being able to buy the file for $5 is very nice, and the $15 to make as many models you want for a month is also pretty nice. Makes it possible to design a whole frostgrave warband in the same style there.
Yeah you can definitely make a whole warband super quickly and tell a story really well as the same time with their designs! Glad you like the company too!
I haven't played Frostgrave but I've bought a few sets. The Ghost Archipelago Crewmen set was great start for creating my Mordheim Battle Monks of Cathay team.
I played Frostgrave when it came out and really couldn't get on with it, whereas Rangers of Shadow Deep, I really like. Which is weird because they are fundamentally the same mechanics. I think, for me, the randomness of the D20 works better as a balancing mechanic in solo play than in PvP. Having said all this, the insidious Peach also made me start thinking about Frostgrave again. Clearly an enchanter.
The Peachinator strikes again. But it is a good fun game so I look forward to seeing how you get along. Would love to see a battle report, solo or group game.
Im guilty to between Peachy and the guys on Twitch stream ive gotten into Frostgrave.....the thought of making a custom build wizard and getting it printed and shipped is super cool though will have to give it a try
I had the Idea once to do a wizard for Frost grave based on Obi one Konobi the apprentice could be Luke Skywalker I imagined him as he first appears in Star wars robed and hooded with a stick in his hand
I built a crew for Stargrave but simply cannot convince anyone local to me to play it. If it's not GW 99% of people won't even try it. Maybe I should try Frostgrave instead? Haha
I hit the dislike on this one. Not because I hate the video but because you mentioned about tossing your extra bits. I understand the issue of space, but would it not be better to pass them along to friends or fellow hobbyists at your local FLGS?
What you’re asking is a lot of work. I build so many models. I don’t have time to find homes for all the little extra bits. I’d prefer to recycle them.
Teehee! Now we need to play a game!!!
Yes sir. Yes we do.

That Peachy is insidious, he made me want to try Frostgrave too! his wiles are many.
Mwhahaha
Hahaha they really are.
Well, I'm glad more people are getting into Frostgrave. It is one of the best tabletop wargames. I've been playing anything Joe puts out for the last 7 years.
Love that it has that kind of longevity
This is perfect timing. I was needing a final push to also get into frostgrave and here's exactly what I needed!
Yes!!! Let’s do it!

That Peachy video has me looking at the game also.
He should have bought shares in that game 😄
Hahaha! I wish I had now lol

That’s another one I really want to try!! I need more days in the week 😂
I too was oblivious to Frostgrave. Just yesterday I decided to snoop at Peachys video and here I am.. Great character background!
That damn Peachy 😄
Great looking model Andy. Love Frostgrave. I hope we get to see the rest of the warband on the channel sometime soon!
That's the plan! Hopefully as part of a game!

Aw man that sounds so good, can’t wait to try it!
Frostgrave and Relicblade are the 2 games i wish my friends would try out with me
Relicblade is incredible! More people should be trying it out 😢
Ohhh nice.
Frostgrave is so much fun. Every game tells an interesting story.
And the cool thing about Eldrich Foundry STLs is that nothing is fused. You can digitally kitbash fairly easily.
Yes and then even at the end you still can have so much fun with the poses section-it’s done really well
It's all Peachys fault. My haul will be delivered tomorrow.
Hahaha
Frostgrave is GREAT! I am playing it since 6 months and sooooo beautiful!
Couldn't agree more!
I’ve ordered the starter bundle because of Peachy. I don’t even know if I have anyone to play with!
Build it and they will come 😍👍
@@PeachyTips let’s hope so.
He is a bad man. Bad bad man lol

Cheers pal. And yes that peachy guy is a tricky one.
All hail the peach. I'm invested in Stargrave for exactly the same reason.
The nice thing about Frostgrave is you invest as much as you want into it and that's what you get out rather than the immense startup costs and effort with other games
Frostgrave is a fun game and friendly to new players 😌👌🏽
Finally :D It is such a great game and invites to make your own story with it
Ye I can’t wait.
Great minds! I just picked up the rule book at my FLGS today! Cheers!
Can’t wait to read it.

This would be a great one to have a bat rep on the channel for Andy!
Working on it! 😊

Will try to sort something out for sure!
Eldritch Foundry seems like a good competitor to Hero Forge. I’ll have to check it out.
Yeah you’ll get lost designing stuff 😄
We use our Mordheim warbands for Frostgrave, works pretty well.
Oh that’s a great idea!
Im guilty to between Peachy and the guys on Twitch stream ive gotten into Frostgrave.....the thought of making a custom build wizard and getting it printed and shipped is super cool though will have to give it a try
Oh you should it’s good fun.
The character design feature is very cool! For the 3d printing algorithm
Cheers Scroggie! And yes it’s addictive!
Eldritch Foundry is so much fun to play around on. There are so many options, and even designing a simple NPC can be a great time sink. :)
I know, it’s so addictive! And makes for some great story telling!
I like Frostgrave and Stargrave. I prefer Mordheim though in its imperfect simplicity.
I really need to play it again.
Peachy is the bad influence parents warned us about
🤭🤭🤭
Hahhahaha yes.
There on to you.
So much fun
Glad you liked it!
I brought the rule book a year or so back but never actually got round to making a warband though always meant to never did
Ah lame. You should give it a go I’m very excited.
👍
🙌
Oh that noose really makes the wizard stand out!
Yeah I think so!
I had the Idea once to do a wizard for Frost grave based on Obi one Konobi the apprentice could be Luke Skywalker I imagined him as he first appears in Star wars robed and hooded with a stick in his hand
That’s so cool.
I knew it He was the root of all evil all the time.
😂😂 I’ll make a drama video on him soon exposing him
I built a crew for Stargrave but simply cannot convince anyone local to me to play it. If it's not GW 99% of people won't even try it. Maybe I should try Frostgrave instead? Haha
Tell them it’s a preview of a unreleased GW game 😄 I know that pain man, it’s super frustrating!
It's an easy rabbit hole to fall into. I'm trying to keep away from 3D printing, failed with Frostgrave #Iblamepeachy
Hahaha #damnhim
How does Frostgrave compare to Mordheim, can anyone advise?
Not sure yet but i will do some videos about both soon
@@MediocreHobbies thanks buddy!
This maniac tosses his bits!! lol. Everyones talking about frostgrave suddenly.
Hahaha sorry but there’s just too much in my backlog to save everything!
Yeah it’s weird, I wonder is the company confused at all the sudden sales 😂
I'm trying this and silver bayonet because of peachy, damn him
Curse his assault on our wallets!
5:23 Good day, sir! Good DAY!
hahahaha
Ghost archipelago is really cool. The rules are a bit different tho. It's a bit more like frostgrave is dnd and ghost archipelago is exhalted lol
Ah okay, I didn't know that!
@@MediocreHobbies you just get different types of dudes. Not a wizard and an apprentice.
What happened to MESBG?
I haven't stopped it, just trying to work it into schedule!
Binning bits is such a waste. You could sell them and get part of your money back, give then to a friend or donate to a shop with a bits box.
You put your bits in the WHAT?!
Yup, too many to keep :D
Is it suitable for an 11 year old to play with his mum and 40k geek dad?
Oh ye I’d say so. Also try one page rules. Greta system very simple and get to play for beginners.
@@MediocreHobbies appreciate your input 👍
Oh no, not you too. I can't not another game, i can't pile of shame is too big
Hahahaha 😅
For the algorithm
Appreciate it!
Play Warhammer if you like miniatures. Play Frostgrave if you like fun.
Haha warhammer is fun with the right people too :D
Hype doesn’t last ten years.
Good point!
You will want an apprentice during a campaign, because your wizard can be killed.
Fair.
