Not sure how different the model in your country, but... what happened here, I went to a large electronics shop and checked TCL P8S which advertised as Dolby Vision model. I insert my USB with Dolby Vision video and trying to play it, the TV stuck at making sound with a black screen. Then I went to nearby store and did same test with Hisense 55U7B which is 8bit + FRC to emulate a total of 10Bit and Dolby Vision files not only played well but fully recognized for both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos codecs ! I made my choice and got Hisense U7B.

I also have TCL P8S but i have problem playing DTS or Dolby Vison videos, For example when i play DTS video on the TV player the videos plays normal but it says "No support for the audio format of media file" And when i play dolby vision video it closes the video and say "Sorry your tv is unable to play this media content" Please can you help me find a Solution ? Shouldn't be confused if you are not already a fan of Sony or Samsung. It should be easier to take TCL for competitive quality in lower price. Further, both Sony's and Samsung's series are the cheaper ones from the companies but still expensive than TCL P8S. Though they have *somewhat better hardware than TCL, the displays are comparable. If you somehow end up choosing P8S, I'd recommend the 50" instead of the 55" as it's 13k difference and you only get a slightly bigger screen with lower pixel density and the identical hardware and features.

No Adrian, This is an Android TV and runs Android 9 Pie. TCL ships with Roku TV in the U.S.A or maybe in some other regions too but the TV models will be different than this.
It runs Android. So if you are in a region where the Roku offers its services, then you should install the Roku TV app on any Android device, including this TV.

Bro Do I need HDMI 2.0 cable to get 4K 60 HZ gaming experience if I pair it with my gaming PC? Also I might need a 10 meter long HDMI 2.0 cable to connect it with my pc.. Will distance degrade quality or introduce input lag?
Also its brightness was OK for SDR content but pretty bad for HDR content... Forget having a good exp while watching HDR on this.. Colors will look dull on HDR content
HDMI cables vary a lot in quality, you may need to check a few. Three out of which I tried weren't even giving the constant display output to this TV from XBOX 360. And yes the length of most audio/video and data cables affects the quality. Better you keep your PC near the TV. 10 meters is a lot.

It's a general perception that TCL offers lower quality products in Pakistan than it offers in USA. Is that correct? Also how is performance of Android? Can VLC player play 265 HEVC?

This is a review unit but exactly a retail product. - I have already appreciated the picture quality in the review. and 4K content is as fine as I have covered in the review in detail. Upscaling is good for 1080p and 720p content. - The perception of quality from one region to another may more or less be true but I can't tell for sure. However, the exact models aren't available in USA. TCL offers some other premium series but a lot expensive as well. - Software performance is smooth and fluent. I felt some lagging after this review but that's only after the bootup. - Yes this TV can play HEVC media out of the box as well as with VLC.
PC: This is a good TV for gaming as long as your PC has a good graphics card to handle higher framerate on 4K resolution. For reference, with GTX 960, DOTA2's graphics were extremely impressive on 4K resolution but the framerate remained around 40 to 50 which will bother you to play if you have been used to play at a higher frame rate on 1080p resolution. GTX 1060 could go around 75fps at 4K resolution. PS4: This console maxes out at 1080p native resolution. So if you want to play with this console on such a big TV, you will not feel any good about graphics. Better buy PS4 Pro that supports native 4K resolution. but then the framerate issue as described above will get in. Stay tuned... we are running this TV through different consoles and PCs. we'll publish a separate review for that.
You can fix this on wall but the wall mounts are not included and you'll need to buy them separately. I won't recommend on an adjustable bracket unless it itself is remote controlled :) because you don't want to push and pull large screens
If you have a limited budget, go for P8 as it has all the same features offered by P8s except HDR10+ and bezel less screen. Both comes with stock android 9 with same specs and have almost 15K price difference in 55 inch variant. P8S 55 inch on daraz: 104K P8 55 inch on daraz: 85K
1- It's a 60Hz display and the motion handling is fine in many cases. 2- Upscaling is not extraordinary, but only like most TVs, including expensive ones. 1080p is good, 720p is watchable, 480p can only bearable if you sit several feet away.

You really got the deal then. Now it seems to be expensive in Pakistan costing $620 for only a TV and a remote control. No wall-mount, No soundbar.

Normally, arc is written on the 2.0 port. Or 2.1
