Yesterday I posted a comment about some mistakes in the review. These comments were public for several hours, but then were hidden by the channel owner (Chigz) without any response. I'll say it again. The 2nd Gen uses the S905X4 SoC and uses DDR4 ram. Hopefully this comment will not be hidden also. To hide this information is a disservice to viewers that rely on these reviews for accurate information.
Do you have any proof that this is the S905X4. If you do please share, it would be a BIG help. Prior to the review I searched everywhere and could not find this info. I also tried running some system info apps and nothing reported back S905X4. Also the performance is not on par with the S905X4. More like the S905 Y4. Could even be S905X3, S905Y3, or S905D3 all of these use the Cortex A55 with MALI G31. Same with the RAM could not find this info. But regardless, 2GB RAM is too less be it DDR3 or DDR4. I can literally feel the lag when closing and opening apps. I removed your original comment as I did not like your tone. I treat all my viewers with respect and expect the same.
The androidtv guide, which is usually very accurate, lists it as having the X4. The Y4 is a35, so it is probably not that. It is also probably not the X3, Y3, or D3, because none of those have native hardware AV1 support in the SoC, while the X4 does. I don't dispute that it is laggy. I agree that the lag has a lot to do with the google tv launcher. I installed an alternative launcher and disabled the google tv launcher, so maybe I don't notice the lag as much anymore.
After digging around, i have found more info on this box and AndroidTV Guide is correct, this box does have the S905X4, I have updated the charts. Appreciate the help.

Well, I don't own this device yet, but I may have the solution to your problem. Since your TV isn't a 4K TV, all you have to do is: 1. Go to settings 2. Display and sound 3. Resolution 4. Then toggle the "Auto switch best to resolution" setting above. That way, it'll recognise your TV and will switch to the best resolution for your TV. It may be 720p 50Hz at the very least.
