- The PS2 has no shortage of games deserving of a remake! For this list, we’ll be looking at the games from Sony’s most successful console to date that deserve a second chance with modern gamers. Okay, I have 2 things to say about this list: a. I'm just surprised Ultimate Destruction, Psi-Ops, and Metal Arms didn't get sequels, b. Sonic Heroes Remake.
1. The Godfather
2. Scarface: The World Is Yours
3. The Punisher
4. The Thing
The Warriors, Red Dead Revolver,The Lord of the Rings games.
I grew up playing the PS2 Harry Potter (1-3) and Lord of the Rings movie tie in games. I’d love to those remade since they were some of the few good tie in games we got.
Marvel VS. Capcom 2, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny: Rengou VS. ZAFT 2 Plus, and Tom and Jerry: War of the Whiskers all need modern remakes/remasters.
Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction was the first game I managed to 100%. All the upgrades, all the challenges, all the character skins. I need this mindless destruction in my life again
My grandad and grandma got me Hulk UD and Mann does it bring back memories cause same 😭
I played that game a billion times.

I finished “The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction” at least 5 times so many afternoons playing that game, man this really takes me back!

Personal Thought: they need to remake or just give us the old 007 games; Nightfire, Everything or Nothing, and even Agent Under Fire were all gems

Socom Navy Seals is still my introduction to Call of Duty. Socom welcomed me tons of quotes, enemies, side missions along the way plus the graphics it grants you on each mission with different settings. The choices on the guns you can choose for you and your teammates was unreal. Gun after gun man. Plus the different uniform they wear on different missions depending on the location. Really sad to see it not been worked on😢

Too many softies now. That game was the shit. My deceased friends brother worked for Volition and actually took off the black and white censor nonsense. Ya know the way it was meant to be played. Kick ass game tho.

Would love to see a remake of Jet Li's "Rise to Honor", Midnight Club 3 "Dub Edition" and the Matrix "path of Neo".
Like come on, we are getting a new movie in the series and this game serves well as a recap to Neo's Journey from the 1st till the 3rd movie
I would love to see Def Jam Vendetta and Fight For NY get a remake along with SSX Tricky, Extermination and more.

Just a few Months ago i finished The Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit in Europe) on my PS5 and it looked like Cancer on a 55" 4K TV.
So...no. Backwards Compatibility is worse. Just give me a Remake!

back then when Burnout 3 just released, my mind was blown away. "THIS GRAPHIC IS SO REALISTIC!!" that's what i said when i play it for the first time
Burnout 2 was mine then I played paradise city
A friend of mine gave me a copy of Burnout 3 on the xbox xbox many years ago and it was the perfect racing game for me. As a rule I usually don't play racing games just for the simple fact and I'll freely admit that I suck at them and keep crashing all the time so burnout 3 was perfect given that the entire point of the game is to crash into shit.
Burnout 3 is a certified hood classic

I'd kill for remakes of (or even just a modern way to play) both X-Men: Legends games.

Thank you so much for including dark cloud! I played the demo of this game in the very early 2000s and quite liked it but never purchased it. Every now and then over the last 2 decades I randomly had to think about it but could not remember the title and for the life of me couldn’t find it online with the very limited info I had due to only having played the demo many many years prior.
I remember when I hit 1mil points on one of the last drift course in NFSU had me hype as a teen

@@brettquimby3274 agree with you I do like silent hill 3 more than silent hill 2 and I also love silent hill homecoming on ps3 and I also have the silent hill HD collection that has silent hill 2 and 3 and I got it because I don’t have the ps2 version’s at the time and yeah I did play silent hill 2 on ps3 and I didn’t like it as much as silent hill 3 and silent hill 2 is not a bad game I just didn’t like the story as much because it didn’t make much sense and the puzzles were kind of hard and sometimes I would have to go on the internet to look it up because I got angry and flustered and it could be better if it got a full remake from ground up and brought to ps5 and make it really scary with a better story and better puzzles and I did enjoy silent hill 2 for what had to offer and I put silent hill 3 as #1 for me because I really like the music,story,and gameplay and best game I ever played.and thank you so much for your reply and comment that means a lot to me thank you.🎸❤️💕❤️🥰✌️👍⭐️
I was so pissed that they were remaking RE4. Like RE4 is still a fresh game!! Code Veronica deserved the remake treatment more!!
Re 0zero should be a remake
@@sinister6279 Zero used the 2002 RE remake engine and was released less than a year after that games release. Zero was already remastered for HD and needs to be left at that. Code Veronica needs it more

About that we did get a HD remaster collection consisting of GTA3, GTA: Vice City, and the awesomeness that was GTA: San Andreas and it sorry to say this but it sucked it sucked really really bad

I would love to see Psi-ops remade with the unreal engine.This game gave you some many options to take down enemies and the different combinations you could pull off with the powers you have were always cool and sometimes just funny as hell if you found a good set of them to employ on guards (just imagine taking over on guy then walking him past his buddies before turning around and opening fire only to have him gunned down, then you walk in and take out the rest with the main character) it also came in handy when you could take over a guy and use him to walk ahead unharmed to scout ahead and see what was waiting for you before, you know, opening fire on the enemy and kill a few before that body got taken out then walking in as your guy and sending a pyrokinetic wall of fire into some of the survivors or picking them up telekineticly and throwing them around like rag dolls, or you could just shoot them I guess. So many ways...
Agree PSI Ops is so much better than Control.
I would love to have a remake of The Hulk from 2003,coz not only is there a lot in that game that can be improved but now that we have modern day graphics and technology the voice acting and villains can also be improved upon

You can really tell how invested the narrator is in the games that they talk about by the passion in their voice as they describe each game.

RE: Code Veronica is in my top 3 of most wanted remakes! (The two others in my top 3 are Final Fantasy 6 and Vagrant Story). Ico would definitely be in my top 5, especially if Bluepoint was involved!

I would love an HD remake of Gradius V so much. I've approximated it a bit with emulation, but it's obviously not close to ideal.

It's up all the way I feel like I don't know if you're too far away from the mic or if that's not turned up but it's got to be a little louder other than that great commentary great video

Well one of my top choices for a remake actually got scratched off of my list last year with the Mafia 1 remake (loved it!). It would also be really awesome if they would do a remake of “Freedom fighters”, I’ve always found the whole red dawn premise really interesting. Number one on my list would easily be a remastered version of GTA: Vice City. That game would be amazing with updated graphics and a modern control scheme!
I would easily pay full price for a ground up remake of the two The Suffering games. They were the best horror action games I've ever played, and I desperately need a remake of them both.
i would say Asterix And Obelix XXL, but that actually got already a remastered version. It even lets to play with original graphics
I’d love to see psi ops get a remake. But i’ve been wondering for years who owns the ip now. I’d love to see a fully blown remaster or a remake that could serve as a remake but also resolve that cliffhanger.
Hulk ultimate destruction was ahead of its time. The combos, the powers, traversal, and boss fights just had umph behind it. I can imagine insomniac making a great Hulk game. If they’re making a Wolverine game there’s a chance they could do a Hulk game too!
For me Blood will Tell i feel like deserves one. The story was so unique and actually hunting every demon has a purpose.
It's a pretty good list! and I wish we could get a remake for Freedom Fighters,Urban Reign, Front Mission 4 and 5! now for the Psi-Ops the problem for a remake is that it was a midway game and I don't know if Warner took over every license but if they did and have a will to make remakes of the midway studios games we could also see along side psi-ops Jackie Chan stunt master, Roadkill and The Suffering! now that's one I'd really love to see!!!
Some good choices here, such as RE Code Veronica and Dark Cloud. Would be awesome to see some Sonic games get the treatment as well. The Adventure games, Heroes and even Shadow The Hedgehog! Also, I'm just gonna throw these two lesser names out there, but Ecco: Defender Of The Future and Steambot Chronicles are underrated gems for the PS2 that certainly deserve the treatment and could be enhanced by it!
It still is surprising to this day that Ico never got a remake but shadow of the colossus did. I’d like to see a remake of that too one day!

Indigo Prophecy, Burnout 3 and Revenge, The Simpsons Hit and Run, Def Jam FFNY, NBA Street Vol 2, NFL Street 2, WWE Smackdown HCTP, THPS 3, RECV, MvsC2, Ico and Tales of the Abyss need a remakes
I really wish Yu-gi-oh! Capsule Monsters would get a remake, absolutely loved the game and even maxed out the in game timer. Although I doubt it will get touched since Dungeon Dice and Capsule Monsters were hardly touched after their initial release (and the anime completely messing up Capsule Monsters) I'd still love this title to see the much needed love it deserves.

My wishlist for PS2 remakes are The Punisher, Freedom Fighters, Urban Chaos Riot Response, Max Payne 1&2 and Area 51.
I can think of a few good ones,
•the james bond games for sure, Everything or Nothing (would love to play a remastered version of the co-op missions) and From Russia with Love especially. Nightfire would be super good too though.
•Spiderman 2 would be really cool done on the Marvel Spiderman engine (Bruce Campbell still needs to narrate)
•Downhill Domination, a BMX racing game that is an absolute gem.
•Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, a surprisingly fun 007 spin-off title that is just a ton of fun in its own right.
Burnout 3 is my other pick and totally deserves it's place on the list.
“The Saboteur” would look amazing remade. The gradual shift from black and white noir to color as your free the zones, the zeppelins, the jazzy soulful, soundtrack, etc. And to see what might’ve been if Pandemic hadn’t been cut short in development. The entire northern zone was clearly unfinished.

Hulk Ultimate Destruction had such amazing gameplay I remember just replaying the Demo over and over.
As it had most abilities unlocked and was just a complete playground of satisfying wrecking 😮
If they just add more detail to the gameplay and visuals they could just make a new Hulk game that would be a literal smash hit with pretty much the same style of game.
Grandia xtreme, megaman x 4-8 but in 3d, time spliters, dragon quest 8, ssx tricky, jak and daxter series, ff 8, 9, 10 remake with 7s real time battle mechanics from their remake
Hulk Ultimate Destruction is one of my favorite games ever, I’ve at least beat the game 20 times and never get tired of it really hoping for a remaster even though there’s a very high chance this never happens.
I'd like to see a remake of the shadow hearts series... 2 was my favorite, but you need 1 to set it up and three was "pretty good". But none of them have been around since the ps2.
Also, yeah a remake of Psi-Ops would be great!!
I would love to see code Veronica and ICO remake, but they already re-released both of those game on PS 3 and 4 they didn’t sell very well so remakes for those 2 are a very long shot.

Not capsule monsters, i remember stopping this game after like half an hour because of how boring it was, but that might be because i've played falsebound kingdom before and i had enough of those spin off games

Hi mojo plays and The games I think deserve a remake is Dino crisis1 and 2,clock tower 3,resident evil code Veronica X ,resident evil 4,parasite eve,and legacy of kain games from ps2 and ps1 and also final fantasy 7 dirge of Cerberus deserve a remake from ps2 and that game was awesome and amazing and I own a copy of it on ps2 and I still play it and love it to death because it is my favorite video game and bring to ps5 and metal gear solid and castlevania from ps1 and ps3 and keep up the awesome work on your channel
I miss Tenchu Stealth Assassins. What they could do with that title these days thanks to titles like Splinter Cell and Assassins Creed could be incredible.

Darkwatch was amazing game for me,still play it today, also Second Sight was good game too

I'll probably give "Rumble Racing" a go sometime 'cause it looks good, but to me it also looks like an enhanced port of NASCAR Rumble (PS1) with the NASCAR license removed.

I wish there was a remaster of the Xenosaga series. Maybe with a DLC featuring new party characters: Optimistic STARCOM Combat Medic Tyler Brady and Tsundere STARCOM Heavy Gunner Miu Kimura.
