Man Billys had that dove guitar for years, he's got it in the 33 film clip and the adore concert in sydney 98 and it's even in 'if all goes wrong'2008 must be his favourite
Man, I envy you so much. Any memories you care to share? I so wish I'd cared about the Pumpkins back when they were together. I just can't see the "reunion" as being really them, you know?
In memorial of Nicolas, Hé was addict of smashing pumpkins . We were 2o years old about . Hé was 18 years but person Too young driver I don't know bit I'm sûre of this facteurs= TOO YOUNG TO DIE Today we're 40 and I considerate every this hé never live..
Just noticed, after listening to Dave Grohl performing Everlong acoustically, that it sounds slightly like Tonight, tonight. I love both the songs and the Foo Fighters are my 2nd fave band. After the Pumpkins that is :D
theres a mith that says when they called themselves The Smashing Pumpkins in the begginin some fans litterally smashed pumpkins in the shows, so they changed it to Smashing Pumpkins
Jajajaja, D'arcy wasn´t bad as many people said. She was really a true part of the band. It is sad a few years ago she had legal trouble and went to jail, and got engaged with drug problems. I hope these days she is fine with herself and her health. She wasn´t a bad person, unfortunately she was young and was prone to many stupid things. And she isn´t the only one. We all commit stupid things when we are young but the thing is she never hurt anyone. Billy hurt them all when he fired D'arcy, James Iha, then Jimmy, then he played all the instruments for a record when they were supposed to be a band.
@nieminono31 strange comparison, I love 'Smashing Pumpkins' but also like a lot of Rap and RnB. Comparing the two genres is like comparing beer and wine; both beverages, or alcoholic drinks, but both are preferred at different occasions and settings. Hope that makes sense - on a side note the alcohol comparison frightens me ;)
@nieminono31 same here, I first listened to whatever was on america's top 40 on the radio, and then I was introduced to grunge and rock by my boyfriend. Now I can't stand 'new music' like lady gaga, and pop stuff, I only enjoy and listen to this kind of stuff.
dude the smashing pumpkins made up so many different explanations for there name, all of them are lies, like one was that gene simmons came to billy in a dream and told him to choose that name
we are all dead..all are insinsere at one time or another bat people...trade a life 4 a glimpse into the afterworld....which has started while u rolled the j while quoting rasputin..
Interesting! Now I know what my nose and throat and vocal cords look like. God, I am in middle school and some of you people are more immature then some of the kids in my school...

believe that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain. this phrase stills brings me hopes after 10 years.
What I liked most about this band was their live interpretations. They didn't 'just play the record' when the did gigs.
The perfect show !!
This song / performance is holy
Remember watching this on mtv 20 years ago, time goes way too fast.
Me too, bring back the good old days. The 90s was the last decade of great music in my opinion
Brain Damage You tell no lies about that.
Can't believe I was actually there! Graduated from High School less than a month later. What an amazing time!

I like how he screws up and uses the "urgency of now" lyric from "1979".
does anyone have the show at sheperds bush empire from 1998. It was on mtv but my vhs has gone to pot. I'd really appreciate it if anyones got it.

billy looks mad in a beanie
does anybody else think that at certain angles... and while wearing that hat... that billy looks a bit like gerard way?
That's the real lyric.
Much prefer this version of the song. Without all the strings and stuff.
