I absolutely love love your videos. I’ve gone through most of them and repeated a few videos. I’m new to the diy so, I have one question in some of your videos you’ve used Optiphen plus and in this one you’ve used Germall plus. Is there a difference in how it leaves the skin with this type of scrub? Thank you again!!
Hi! I have not noticed a difference in how it makes the skin feel. The main difference is the percentages of the preservative that you have to use is different. One calls for more to be used than the other. 😊
That is absolutely gorgeous and those colors are definitely vibrant. After the scrub sits for a while does your oils and butters rise to the top (melt) or does it stay thick
@@ReneeBarnettTV hello, how long does it have to blend for I'm not sure if it's possible to over blend or not I tried some recipes for scrubs and body butters and it seems like I'm over blending them because it's not turning out like this
I absolutely love this recipe. My question is, I've made this recipe but I've noticed after a day of making it, it looks as if it's deflated in my container. What could cause this?
Thank u, glad u enjoyed the recipe, this hasn’t happened to me before but sometime if the ingredients are whipped for too long or on high speed for too long it can cause too much air and it can possibly deflate once it settles.
@@ReneeBarnettTV thank you for your reply! I think that's my problem with whipping it too long or on high speed. The first one I made did not deflate, the second one did. I'll keep this in mind when making another. Thank you again!
In your videos you use Optiphen plus and in this one you used Germall plus as a preservative. Do you mind explaining why? Is one more gentle on the skin for this typo of scrub?. Thank you again!
I tried this formula but I replaced capuacu butter with more Shea butter and next day the fomula was sooooo hard. Does yours get hard overnight as well?
How much preservative did you use. Also what brand did you use also how much fragrance oil did you use for this recipe. What can I use and substitute if this butter Capuacu Butter. Also where did you buy your Capuacu butter at.
With this emulsifier ratio , do you still have some oil residue left on your skin? I tried another sugar scrub recipe, even though with emulsifier , still quite greasy after my shower.
I have some questions please: 1-If I dont have the butter kuabuasu can it be replaced by cocoa butter or what else? 2- does the scrub wash off without leaving greasy touch to skin? 3.- self life for this product? Thank you very much for sharing, your recipe is much simplier, mine is complicated and more expensive due to many ingredients.
Do the preservatives help keep the scent also I’ve done some scrubs and went back to them and had to throw them out because they smelled stale and lost the scent
I was under the impression that the purpose of an emulsifier was to allow oil and water based ingredients to bind. Were these not all oil based ingredients? Or does it setve another purpose ?
The preservatives I use usually call for 0.5 to 1% of the total weight of the product but it's important to follow the usage rate on the bottle of the preservative you choose.
Hey love , I really wanna try this recipe but I’m also using cetyl alcohol. Can you tell me the formula using cetyl alcohol if you don’t mind🥺🥺 . Please text me back💝💝 thank you
Im def about to try this as i use mango butter in my lip scrubs with btms-25 & the preservative. I have mica powder as well
That seemed easy and Perfect. I just want to know did you split the sugar in half for each mixture or did you measure out another 136 grams?
One of the best and easiest diy’s to follow ❤
Thank you for sharing this nice tutorial. I did not get the name of the emulsifier. Where can one get it? God bless.

I love this version
I love how you try to get every drop of oil out 🤣 I do the same thing!
Me too😂😂😂

Nope it wont separate it stays thick ☺️

Is it advisable to heat the oil with sugar
If there is no water in here, do you still need a preservative? If you just used a spoon to scoop it out each time instead of your hands?
So Optiphen is a good preservative ?
Hi! Thanks for the recipe. Love the colors! For how long this last? And also, do you have to put it in the refrigerator?
Can use for lips ?
You can use this on your lips, but there is another lip scrub on the channel you might like check it out. Thanks for watching ☺️
Loved this video 🫶 My only question is what’s the link for the preservative you use ?

The preservative is Optiphen Plus
I tried this formula but I replaced capuacu butter with more Shea butter and next day the fomula was sooooo hard. Does yours get hard overnight as well?
What percentage of the emulsifier did you use?
I love this. Pls is this scrub good for sensitive skin?
Not for face .... good for body .. but gently rubbing
Hi, I love your video it’s teaching me a lot I just love it, so what’s the name of the preservative you are using.
Why would we put the emulsifier in there? I thought it was to mix oil and waters?
Thank you. You added yours to a 4 ounce container. How much total does this recipe make?
Looks good , thank you
Hey love will it melt hun in the sun.
I highly doubt it but I haven't had it out in the sun 😀

All of her measurements are in the description
Preservative amount not listed I guess because it depends on the kind used
How much sugar did you use, you didn’t say on your video?
Why not use a microwave? Curious what the setbacks are for melting in the microwave at low power?
Love the content and this recipe look AMAZING. Can I use BTMS 25 as a substitute? what are you using for colors?
Yes you can use BTMS 25, I used Mice for the color
Won’t the mica powder leave a ring around the tub if you’re not using polysorbate 80?

You can use mango butter or shea butter, there is not a greasy residue left on the skin after using it and it will last about 6 months
Do the preservatives help keep the scent also I’ve done some scrubs and went back to them and had to throw them out because they smelled stale and lost the scent
Subtitle, please thanks 😊
Good jobs
I was under the impression that the purpose of an emulsifier was to allow oil and water based ingredients to bind. Were these not all oil based ingredients? Or does it setve another purpose ?
The emulsifier is used in this particular body scrub to help it glide easily onto the skin once you are in the shower and it mixes with water
For some reason I did all the measurements correctly but there isn't as much product as shown in the video idk why
Hi! Can you make this without emulsifier or preservative? Also, what are some good alternatives for capuacu butter?
You can make it without an emulsifier (different consistency), but preservative is recommended because the user will likely get water in it.
Hi!!! 😊 How much emulsifier did you use?
I used 10 grams
@@ReneeBarnettTV Thank you! I love your videos!! 💖
