    Fascinating. I was diagnosed as diabetic a couple years back and with severely high blood pressure to the point whenever I go in and they check my pressure they ask me if I'm alright and recommend going to the hospital. I've never had my feet checked though. Although it's given to me, Metformin doesn't agree with me and interups my day to day, so I don't take it and I just use the trulicify injections.

This happened about a year ago about the same time of year, I ended up off all insulin and off all metformin, I also take one injection of trulicity once a week, my diabetic GP don’t seem that bothered by it but it concerns me as to why it would happen, last year I had an ultrasound on my Pancras to make sure there were no tumours but ultrasound only could see half pancreas due to gas. I have tried a different blood glucose tester still the same. I did have a bout of diarrhoea last sat I don’t know if that might have something to do with it? Sorry for long message

    What is the correlation between the feet and diabetes?

    • @DrJamesGill
      @DrJamesGill  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With diabetes the peripheral nerves can be damaged
      People tend to notice when they can’t feel things with their fingers, but more often miss it with the feet
      It’s important to check, as peripheral neuropathy can lead to injuries, which then don’t heal, causing ulcers and possible amputation.
