Iris was a Greek myth, she was the female counterpart of Hermes/ Mercury. He was Zeus's messenger and she was Hera's. She had a twin sister Arke who sided with the Titans and thus was imprisoned with them. Iris was the goddess of the rainbow. She had a child with Zephyr the west wind. And their child was an aspect of Eros, deity of love. Pothos-Eros, god of longing. There are multiple aspects of Eros, called the Erotes. That's where the cherub Cupids came from. Romans re envisioned Eros as followers of Venus, and with the advent of christianity and chastity, they transformed Cupid into the cherub

I absolutely love this! My eye doctor that I had my entire life retired and I’m badly in need of a new prescription as a result so it’s neat seeing things from the doctors perspective like this. You remind me so much of my optometrist though ironically because he had such a soothing voice and would always clearly explain what he was looking for and/or doing and why it mattered and the potential health effects that I was happy for him but sad for me when he retired because I wasn’t sure I’d find another one like him. Thankfully there’s multiple practices in my insurance network right near my work so I’m hoping one of them will work out for me like he did, we’ll see!

Its great to watch you not just talking about this subject but every other topic/guideline for potential Gp's. Its a sad fact that the GP's I see rarely explain or perform the basic tests your teaching when I visit them. I know your bound by medical ethics laws and cannot comment but I am 59 years old and an ex RAF medic and I see basic medical standards slipping in this country. Keep up the good work because your teaching Doctors many things they may have forgotten.

That scope looks just a bit like a sonic screwdriver -- to us nerds. I suppose, to a GP, a sonic screwdriver looks like an opthalmascope.

To an extent I go with what is interesting them in the moment. We still have to work through the skeletal system and how tendons and muscles work together to move their bodies. We also have to go through the liver, gallbladder and nervous system. Since they are so young I don't push too hard and sometimes we get off topic and just do more age appropriate chemistry. They do want to know more about specific diseases like MS because their uncle has it. Diabetes (we watched some of your videos on diabetes) because their grandmother has it. They have asked for a real doctors kit for Christmas. Lol I think I'm going to make them one.
