Solid hard product, but UA desperately needs to upgrade their food service in both quality of the food and getting rid of single tray service on such a long flight. It's like cafeteria style food and service.
I totally agree! I flew LAX-HND in April and the food was terrible. It's a shame they serve such poor quality food in their business class..
@@ydifrancia And it could be easily fixed spending a few more dollars per passenger on very expensive tickets.
However, Cathay business class offer welcome drink, champagne when you are on board, during mid flight, they offer wonton noodles soup, hot burger, they cook it for you, they have cart of deserts to your seat and let you pick your favorite deserts, dinner serve Ribeye Steak or Chilean Sea bass, dinner cone with soup and prawns appetizers, you just canned beat Cathay Airline business class. I am a UA 1k, but I do love Cathay international over US
Absolutely agree. United is no match with any airline in Asia.
Given all the issues going on with Hong Kong and China, CX has been an avoid for me for a few years now. Use to be among my favorites but all the issues it just hasn't been worth it. Hopefully they recover. Shadow of its former self.
Flying United Polaris business class was the best thing that ever happened to me. Bucket list thing for sure!
Thank you for this video!! I just booked a United Polaris business class flight from Chicago ORD to Tokyo Haneda. Question is: according to the United website, those flying internation business flights have access to the Polaris Lounge, but 0 guests allowed. My girlfriend and I are both taking the flight, but is she considered a "guest" or is she allowed access since she is flying also?
Is she flying in Polaris class? If yes, she can use the lounge. If not, then she can't.

I grew disgusted and gave up on UA in December 2015. The big reason is, they wouldn't give me Star Alliance Gold even though I had far more than enough miles to qualify. I dumped my account and have been an ANA Mileage Club member since. ANA's service is FAR better than anything I've tried besides Asiana. Never again, United.
UAL,the ghetto airline,give me a break!
These meals are inexcusable on an international business class flight. Awful !
