Nice creative snake habitat.
The out doors? Yup, they love it 🤣
Starting to shape up nicely Captain!
never afraid to tackle a project- good Video captain
Hay Mike! Another great video! Love the way the plunge pool is taking shape! Lee
You certainly have some good clay there ✌️👏
555 is better than my Harbor Freight backhoe...
Looking good. And to your hope for the 40 seconds on the simm card: nope!👍Edit: Happy 4th y'all! 🧨
On the 555 you could load some stuff in the backhoe for the weight. You’re 555 is paying for itself every day HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY. 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
Hi Mike. It's pretty easy for someone to tell you to upgrade your equipment when they aren't shelling out the coinage. Even used equipment is really pricy if you're not using it daily to make money with. I have a little dirt work to do around my homestead, but it isn't enough to justify renting equipment. I will be using the original mini excavator, also known as a shovel! The area around the pool is shaping up nice. You can see the vision more clearly now!
Great job!
The plunge pool is shaping up nicely Mike. You in the old triple Nickel in the wet clay reminded me of my life..."Spinning my wheels". LOL Keep up the good work Captain.
Lol thanks for watching!!
Happy 4th of July to everyone.
It's my Bebita Wife Maria's and I 21st anniversary.
It's nice to see a new episode from the Captain working with the 555.
Geez, a guy was saucy today haha! The comments about sticking the boom out for traction made me laugh 😂
🤣🤣
A fellow can only work with what he's got .Well done sir great video looking forward to next one thank you for sharing
On the one hand, new tires for the 555 would be amazing and help a lot ( not being worn out they'd likely get better traction compared to what we're seeing here )....on the other hand new tires would be ridiculously expensive and patches/plugs are comparatively cheap. Budget being what it is, can't blame ya at all for going with option 2
Yup
@@MrGoesBoom
Not to mention the fact that traction on a 2 wheel drive unit is sketchy at best anyway on uneven hilly ground like that on a really good day.😂🤣🤙
Have you ever considered getting a set of tire chains for your 555. The loggers use them all the time year around for the traction in the mud.
@@jefferyyoung6836
Do you know how expensive a set of chains for that size tire are?
He specifically said they are far too expensive to buy in the video.
@@jefferyyoung6836I was going to suggest that he contact Logger Wade and see if he could score a set of used chains ⛓.
I watch at least a dozen channels. You rank #1 by far. I'm thinking your Indian name would be : Cheif Running commentary. Love it!
🤣🤣 appreciate ya watching and leaving a comment!
Hi Mike & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mike & Friends Randy
Sometimes a fellow just doesn't have anything to say so he just leaves a comment for the algorithm. 😸
Definitely appreciated!
A big water tank and a pressure washer will be the ticket for the final cleanup on that rock wall .
Or a big job site compressor , the ones they use to run jackhammers , and , a big blow nozzle will also work very well .
BTW , the entire region is " Karst " , and by region I mean virtually everything between the Appalachians and Western Oklahoma , and , the Great Lakes down to the Gulf .
It sure makes life interesting on a number of levels . Ponds and lakes appear and disappear, houses get built and sometimes they disappear, along with roads and parking lots , the odd Corvette museum , etc . Whoever coined the phrase " solid ground " never encountered Karst terrain .
Looks like that "pool" is shaping up nicely. For "not being a logger" you're doing pretty well in cutting up those trees without getting squashed. "Not getting squashed" is probably a good daily goal, too. Thanks for the video, take care.
I dug my tallest tree out with my JD410 backhoe the other day, after three hours the 72' tall Scottish Elm was on the ground.
No disasters today thankfully.I can better see your vision and it looks like a place I would like to jump into on a hot day.Happy fourth of July.🎉❤
Thanks and happy fourth!
@@CaptainKleeman I signed up for the pateron I think it's spelled that way, will I need to do it every month or will it be automatically taken out of my account?
That time lapse really made your vision appear. Nice job. You are making good progress.
Thank you sir!
You should get some logging change that go on the skidder tires ,and you can put them on your tractor tire to get some traction, you may have to make modifications to fit your tires so they won't spin as bad or at all.
Can’t wait to see it all come together…. I think after today, I have a better vision and understanding of the layout.
Keep up your great work!
Another day in the woods 🤗 Happy 4th Mike and family, and to our UTube family ❤️🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mike, still amazing what you accomplish with the machinery that you have.swimming hole is taking shape,I see your vision coming into reality.just keep doing what you’re doing and carry on,great video as always.be safe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Your channel is awesome
Hey thanks! Appreciate ya leaving a comment
Happy Independence Day Mike!! Thank you for all you do!
Hey thanks for watching!
Happy Independence Day!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Love the outro's .... best endings on TH-cam....
Making a really cool spot in the woods even cooler 😊 Happy Independence Day ya'll! 🪨🚜⚓️🚧
Your vision keeps getting better and better. Cheers! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Being a guy that is pretty much alone when doing things I appreciate how hard you work. BUT sometimes I think I just watch the videos for the sarcasm lol.
🤣🤣🤣
It really looks like what your vision is. I know the Admiral will be pleased! Heck, you may even get a promotion out of this!
Tell you what Captain, I think you use that CAT better than DP your a lot more smoother, think he should just give you it, he doesn't like it anyway. 😂👍
🤣🤣🤣
It’s amazing how much work you get done with the resources you have. This is a great example of just doing what you can with what you have and preserving through the challenges. You have a great attitude and are an inspiration, and the work you do is really good. Don’t downplay your skills. Keep up the great work.
I'm so happy you uploaded on July 4th! It really shows commitment to your channel! I greatly appreciate it
Thank you
Hey I appreciate ya watching on the 4th!
Check that Liability Insurance Policy for detailled exemptions. Small ponds that you can dump bodies into, is not acceptable to the Risk Management Department.
Yep I agree its a rock face. Oh and gotta ask does Mike Simon know about that floppy bucket on that mini. I’m sure Nobody has mentioned it before me. He just wouldn’t leave it like that to generate comments. Extra pets for the fur babies please.🐶
Might be a lot of work but I saw a guy made some "rubber tire chains" out of strips cut out of an old tire. Similar to the "TerraGrips" product you can buy for small tractors. They still used a ring of chain to bind them together but the traction part was all rubber paddles.
That's an interesting idea.
So now your an engineer.. your making educated guesses 😅😊😂
I have a suggestion. Make some tenting spaces while you prepare for your cabins. I’m sure there would be tenters who would love to stay in your woods.
Thats a good idea i have air bnb a tent site before an it was way less then ideal lol
He would need to provide a porta-pottie for each site😢
@@wayneabbott652 no lol have you ever been camping either you have zero amenitys or theres a public bathhouse
Captain don't tell DP but you and Aaron are my favorite TH-camrs
Your secret is safe with me
@@CaptainKleeman I hope to be a visitor and stay in the TH-cam yeah
👋Sauna is actually very refreshing in hot weather. Also happy 4th 🎆
@Captain Kleeman - Chains can speed up your work.
Buy once, cry and curse twice.
Spend the money on proper chains, that's where you cry and curse the first time.
Install the chains on the backhoe by cleaning the dirt off the tires and let most of the air out of the tires to get the chains on easier. Then reinflate the tires, that's when you cry or curse the second time trying to figure out why it took 3 hours to get the chains on verses the 15 minutes the instructions suggest it'll take per tire.
Let me know when they're in the mail 👍
Kleeman Khronikles kontinue.....Bud, that mini is versatile, I think one of them would be a great addition to the Admiral's fleet. And....there's that little guy who works so fast.....a good hire by the Admiral. Things are shaping up around the pool. As always, great channel, great content.
Good morning Captain!! Happy Independence Day. At this rate you are going to have the most beautiful and popular vacation spot in all of Derby. It is starting to take shape for sure.
23:26. Here comes the “you need a sawmill!” Comments. 😂😂
🤣🤣. You aren't wrong
Great job so far Mike great video thanks
Progress is coming along. This has been an awesome job. I am looking forward to seeing what is next. Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
Appreciate ya watching and leaving a comment
You should borrow Letsdig18's 350, that will get it done.......
Yeah , but it would only be one video versus a whole series , unless Cap'n does a video followup entirely about him crying over the bill for the transport costs lol .
Lol. Definitely not the right tool for the job. But would be fun
The Admiral and your vision is becoming clearer every video.
It will be a very nice spot to spend some family time soon enough.
Thank you sir!
I like it so far..will only get better..hope ya have a good 4th
Will we ever see the truck finished? That's only what i watch.
If you watched every video, we give updates and even sneak peaks of work that has been done to truck. Appreciate ya watching.
I felt complete unity with your fire extinguisher comment, “things have been going so well I am waiting for what comes next” 😂🤣
Just absolute truth!
That New Fire 🚒 Extinguisher🧯, leads me to believe someone may have seen Andrew Camaratas new excavator burn to the ground 🤔
I did not see that! The Hyundai?
@@CaptainKleeman No, not the new, new Hundai, the one before which was the reason he bought his first ever brand new machine. Burn't to the ground. th-cam.com/video/Mlfbb-KczGo/w-d-xo.html
Put some tires on that Pos. Or put some tire chains on it
Just waiting on your check 🤣🤣
Have the tire shop put a tube in it. Happy Independence Day!
I remember you altering the tread on your tractor tires before, could that be done to help with the backhoe?
Well, it might be worth a try
Remember water flows downhill.
It's tough to fight gravity
Why ...why would I need to fight gravity?
I honestly thought that you were nuts at first, but I am slowly starting to see your vision and it is cool!
You're still nuts, but it's the cool kind of nuts!
It's the nuts I strive to be
Being the I’m just a few miles north of you, I can only guess at how this has held up. I’m at a little over 6” of rain now with more coming through tomorrow.
Hopefully it has survived 👍
Update, as of Friday afternoon 11 1/2”. Just south of Patoka Lake.
Brilliant!
The water in the back bucket on the backhoe rewetting the mud behind you made me comment. And it was hilarious.
👌👍
If DP decides to upgrade from the 304, I'd be a serious bidder depending on the price.
I'll let him know you're interested
You must have used some "Rock Fertilzer" because those rocks look like they grew there. This project makes you look like you know what you're doing. The Admiale must be proud of her Captain.
Hey appreciate ya watching!
Ag tires are meant to get the best traction going forward not in reverse.
correct, also not ag tires. They are R4. But same concept
You don’t need to buy anything except maybe some tires 😂
I think the back hoe might need the starter looking at, it turns over very slowly! Might be a job for the cold weather. Happy July 4th.
It seems when you fill the front bucket it takes the back tires off the ground more???????????????????????
Good morning sunshine! I always look forward to your videos! I love your sense of humor! Can't wait to see how the plunge pool turns out! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Drifting the Ford Triple Nickel!
💪
Good morning & Happy 4th of July
Happy fourth
Great 4th wake up video. You might even say the content is more interesting than what DP put out this morning.😅 love your imagination.
I’ll trade ya that mud for the dry dry dirt over here in Illinois a cheap set of tire chains may help with some extra traction in the mud my dads setup similar to yours he always left the chains on as we have more hills in Pennsylvania than I have here in Illinois a guys still adjusting to certain Midwest things enjoying all the projects keep up the good work!!
That backhoe has proved to be infinity useful, maybe you should consider finding some newer tires of the style ans gripage you require.
maybe not that much, Amazon some where $1400.00 probably still not feasible though for this channel LOL
The hole is getting bigger for sure !!!
A wee bit moist for your 555 at the start..... pleased you used your initiative and stuck out your back actor with maximum effect 😁💪😂
Pleased we were able to watch forty seconds of tree felling at the end..... really impressive Sir 💪💪💪😂
great progress today, it's going to look 👀 very nice, great video Mike 👍👍👍👍👍
Hello Mike. For your property, I think your equipment is good. I wish I could buy you some rear tires that you think would be good for the property. I don't know, but I imagine the rear tires would be around $800 each. Do you have enough cards for the camera? What is the max size and type you can use? Have good days!
Cap you are one of best envisionarys I have ever seen, such a great place it will be, small steps will get the job done.
Thank you for sharing.
God Bless you and your family have a great day ya'll. 🇺🇸
Happy 4th of July to all.
Captain, You will building a Lagune with a Waterfall in this Forest!!! You and Your Dream's. 🤭
Captain just moving along! Looks great! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
We will blame Aron since he’s not there!
Lol
I'm really excited for you guys getting this far along with your dreams. And I'm wishing you and your family a Happy 4th of July. 🎉
If only there was a four-wheel drive conversion kit for the 555. Would definitely help with traction. Well, when the front wheels manage to stay planted on the ground.
The pond is starting to make more sense to me now that you have exposed the rock shelf and rock face. Looking bigger than I imagined.
Looking good, that’s going to be an awesome little feature in the overall look of the property. Thanks for the update, enjoying watching this come together.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Wishing you and your family the best.
@ 16:25 for the retaining wall ( and I know you like free stuff ) find a concrete testing lab close to you ( or even not so close ) because after the slump test they pour the concrete in a cylinder ( appox. 6 in dia. by 12 in tall ) that they put in a press and squeeze just till a crack / but they consider them waste and are happy for people to haul away ( and yes I did work on the coal burning Power Plant in Rockport in the early 80's ) probably one in Evansville that you can bring some home from after each shift at the Fire House, concrete testing lab that is
Hey, Capt’n, if money was no object (hahaha! We both wish) I wonder what it would cost to run a small solar powered pump and a pondless system on the rock feature below the plunge pool. The rock in the pondless acts like a filter and it just runs a little water over the feature. I know, another commenter trying to spend your money! Thank you for the great content and try to have some fun.
Don't need new equipment just newish tyres to replace thise NASCAR one you have on. Need to visit a good junkyard
I think it's really a good time to get yourself an excavator but atleast minimum 7 tons weight class not those 2-3 tons, you would be suprise how fuel efficient & work horse are those things
A fella might want to put rocks in the back of the boom Bucket
to weigh it down and give more weight And traction to the worn out tires ...
Keep up the good work..
PS. little more fast time Motion is always good
The spot is looking great. I'm jealous of your rocks. Those are some very pretty rocks. Also looks like a lot of fun to stack them up - I'm pretty happy any day I've got some good rocks to stack.
Mike, need to txt clint,he's got another backhoe, has accessories with it he even mentioned you it is right up your alley my brother but I figured I'd shout it out to ya
It’s like driving on pizza! You will never eat Pizza again without thinking of this statement.lol
@ 3:30 just Googled two new tractor tires 5 to 6K, well I guess that is out of the question LMAO
Your plunge pool dream is taking shape nicely. Great video (as usual).
Great old machine Mike just get yourself a good set of chains and maybe something to put in the bucket in the backhoe for weight
