If you have grease zerks on your quick connects, keep them greased and you will be happy when you hookup....I couldn't believe the difference....fun stuff Mike
It never ceases to amaze me......the amount of people who are armchair experts...... that don't really have a clue how much actual time and effort it takes to do projects by yourself. The fact you started, and will functionally complete, just this phase of this project this year is significant. I would really like to see the DIY project resumes of the know-it-all's who leave all the uninformed comments and all the "you should have....blah...blah...blah" comments. That's the first tell-tale sign that they never have. Keep on Keepin' on brotha.....the people who KNOW have a great appreciation for those that "DO" vs those that talk about it.
Comments about realistic time expectations reminds me of serving in the Navy. Most Academy Grad Officers always seem to have an unrealistic expectation of how long things took to accomplish, since they never have done the work themselves, and are just paper pushers basically. It was always fun to hear what an Officer "wanted" ,say "yes Sir, then translate that to real time scale for your peeps.. hehe
Come on this is only a 4-month project he is doing. Well that what you think in the start then you remember you have limit time and money to do things. Then there the several week delay in the start. Then 3-week weather delays. Then the 4 months of problems that you have to solve as you go. Then there the O crap I did it wrong or a need to change my plan 6 times in the process of building it. Then the real delay making sure her wife loves it because if she won't like it, you are not done. SO yes, it is a 4-month job that turns into about 18 months. I think my armchair expert is spot on. LOL
Moving the camera around for the best shots all the time must slow you down, especially on a day like you were having when you just want to get on. We really appreciate you bringing us along with you. I'm amazed at just how much you get done on your own. Keep up the good work Captain!
Love the progress you're making; you're only one person and there are only so many hours in a day!!! You will be able to enjoy it in the fall with a firepit and the building you're going to have there!!!
Good evening Mike. The problem with most people nowadays is that they’re always in a hurry. They don’t know how to enjoy the simple things in life. Always look forward to your videos. You’re a very intelligent person who can always figure out how to make things work. Thanks for sharing. God bless you and your family.
GREAT ADVICE... from one plugger to another. Here I sit, 75 years old enjoying life after over 40 years of keeping at it, plugging away. my properties paid off, rents coming in....life is good. I can not quit plugging so I do most of the maintenance myself so as not to wear out the sofa too quickly.
No man works harder than you Mike, you are an inspiration and both of your channels are excellent. Thank you for the years of great viewing ( I’ve watched every single one of your videos and never been disappointed 👍 ) Your realistic no BS no ego down to earth humorous and relatable personality is so refreshing, you thoroughly deserve all of your successes and long may you continue 👍 Best wishes to you and your beautiful family, from Britain 👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
A dozen yrs ago I was working in a hydraulic repair shop an a guy came in an had us install two hyd motors on his case 580, he said they were takeoff from a burn up case, the labor was easy for us and customer said we were more $ than buying motors, just a thought-take care
Sorry Captain no need to apologise, but if anyone thought you were going to get the pond finished this year, well they must have been asleep. There was no way in hell it was going to be finished ready for this summer, unless of course you had your own construction team hidding in the woods. Or perhaps they thought that the woodland fairies were going to come out in the night and finish it off for you. 🤣😂 😂 Whenever it's finished its going to look marvellous, from the UK your weather is as crap as ours. 👍
We’ve all had days where we wanted to just say that’s enough of that and take a break. What separates you from a lot of folks is that you will get right back at it and eventually will finish your projects. Your drive and determination truly is commendable. Stay safe Captain.
Your statement about not being flexible and why did that hurt, hit me on so many levels. I just turned 48, and my brain says I’m still the lean, mean, fighting machine I used to be. My body says my brain is full of crap. You’re a braver man than I. At the first sight of that recluse, I’d still be running away.
not every day can be rainbows and sunflowers. some projects make you just wanna bail on it but sheer will, stubbornness somehow find a way to prevail. the cove project is a helluva undertaking Capt, for a 1 man band you making headway. the fact the Triple 5 billygoated its way up muddy sloppy hill was a win in my book
"It's not the hoot I was havin' earlier... But - the DIY rule: you just gotta keep moving...!" Mike, you're a sight wiser than your years, and always a tonic to watch you as you plug away at your imaginative projects! Respect, from an old plugger across the pond. 😎🇬🇧
Captain, it's getting more and more to the point we can truly see your vision of how you want that pool side area to look. Every time you kinda mention how you want this or that to be it makes your vision even clearer.
There is about 250lbs of soul crushing power in every 80lb sack of cement. Redid a basement that way... nearly was the end of me. Keep on goin! Also - one thought that might help... consider reaaaally carefully where those sacks are coming from and going to. I rigged a ramp down the stairs (exactly like your rock sliding ramp) to get bags down at waist height - and moved my mixer as close as I could to the work area. You might even be able to get another chute going to get concrete / mortar down to your wall via gravity (vs. Kleeman power and kitty buckets). Good luck - you can do it!!!!
You know what they say! "Sometimes you are the windshield, and other times you are the bug"! You were kind of looking like the "bug" at the beginning of this video, but you persevered, as you ALWAYS DO!!! And you could look through that "windshield" and see what is ahead of you! Good job bud!
Keep on Keepin on. Not that many folks who can work by themselves and stay motivated and with it. Few have any sort of vision, let alone the ambition to see something through. You have that inner drive to get it done. You do a tremendous amount of work. It is so hard for people to plan and execute a project of any magnitude by themselves, working alone takes a bit more planning and thought. You are a special breed. Keep it up. You do all the work and then make and edit the videos for us to enjoy. Thanks always enjoy them, and I always enjoy seeing how you solve the work to be done.
Mike between the boat house, the new headquarters and the mechanical projects when will you find the time to enjoy this beautiful project 🥲,great progress Mike and great video 👍👍👍👍👍
0:53 "Roll the forks up into anti car impalement mode!" A mixture of comedy and seriousness! 🤣🤣😮😮👍👍 The 87 Octane or Unleaded joke while filling up diesel never gets old! 😂😂 Rock and drainage in place. Starting the other retaining wall. It's moving along despite the weather. Mother nature doesn't wait for anyone, so you just have to work around her schedule. It'll get done when it gets done. We're just along for the ride and enjoying every minute of it!
Just think Mike all the benefits you get from this project at the end it will be beautiful and you can know that you did it yourself and think of the great shape you’re going to be in💪🏼
Plenty accomplished Mike ! I would say most of us can relate to days like this.....😬 You persevered and ground the day out. A lot of the work you are doing will not be seen, I found this to be a big factor in feeling the grind for sure.... 😬 But you will have the satisfaction of knowing the job has been done correctly from top to bottom 💪💪💪
One more step. Your determination is epic 👏 You put your heart and soul in each and every project. I know, myself. I absolutely appreciate all that you do. Thank you for sharing your vision and your journey on all the projects. 😊
We know it’s a lot of work, on this project Mike, and we also know it’s gonna take a bunch of time to do, but we are patient, and will wait for it to be done, thanks for your videos Mike😎😎🙏🙏👍👍🍮🍮❤️
Gotta admit that when you first made the mason bridge, I was excited when you finished and made it happen. [me laughing out loud at “finished”]. I’m glad that your vision was so much more and frankly, you have surpassed multiple stages of: there’s no way that I heard that right; and I don’t think that this time his ambition is gonna happen. I’m convinced that if that pit began to start manifesting dangerous life that you would somehow convert it to an up close wildlife experience, if not a petting zoo feature. Push on brother….i believe in you!
All steam ahead Captain... Looking good and as long as you get it done.. is the main thing.. deadlines and schedules never actually work all the time.. minor setbacks are accustomed to changing situations but keep moving forward.. failure is not an option. Looking great.
Hi Mike, I have to say, your always positive outlook at things is inspiring 😊 your goal is just get it done - and you do !! Your vision your work 👌 just outstanding . hope you all stay safe and happy I Always appreciate whatever you're doing 👍👍👍 🇨🇦 Craig
Hi Mike. I think you make tremendous progress. If I were building something similar, we would be looking at a 5-year plan! Like you said, you have to keep working on the project even after the initial enthusiasm wears off, if you ever want to get it done.
Cap’n when I think of Rolling Rock… it usually ain’t a triangle shaped boulder… Literally!!! I am tired of standing at the end of a hose pipe to stave off the drought. Please send me a couple of days of rain. You have my e-mail addy. Keep pecking away… your progress is piling up… your vision is getting more and more clear every day.
I just finished a 220 foot long 5 foot tall retaining wall in my back yard, it was 100% by myself. I thought I could finish it in a year but it actually took me two years, it is what it is and you do what you can. Anyone here who does for themselves understands that these things always take longer than we first thought and hoped.
We don't get the Brown recluse spider here, we do have a cousin of the Black Widow called a Red Back, we have both a Wolf and Huntsman spider as well as a Trap Door spider, that's it in Western Australia, Sydney on the east coast has a Funnel Web spider, these have killed humans before. It's our snakes I don't like, unlike those found in the states, we don't get an audio warning, ours just strike if they feel threatened, oh, and we have 7 of the 10 most deadly snakes in the world. Loving what you are creating there Mike.
Yup, can't plan for the weather factor, either way. Y'all getting lots of rain, and our last rain was in June. Yesterday, I was trying to run a 2" line into a stock tank (y'all say "pond") to keep it from going dry. 🤪 Took me all day, and the high yesterday was 110 degrees, with higher than normal humidity, and by noon (at only 100 degrees), I was thinking about the same thing you said, "I've had enough of this." Thanks for the video, it's encouraging to see I'm not alone, take care.
Good morning sunshine! I just get so tickled when I hear you say "It's fine, everything is fine" when it clearly is not! Lol! Spiders are NEVER on my bingo card either! Your positive outlook is sooo awesome! Love all your videos! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
You had me worried on the bucket full of gravel you dumped in by the tote! About the time I was going to shout, you lowered the bucket! I breathed a shy of relief! Great video and I don't know about the rest of the viewers, but I see the vision. It's going to be very nice! Thanks Mike! Lee
I knew that it was definitely a Summer 2025 usage timeline. Some folks just hear what they want to hear I suppose. Keep up the great work! I hope that Patreon is helping and I am so happy you opened that up for those like myself that tremendously value your videos.
Sitting here in North Carolina in the middle of Tropical Thunderstorm Debby watching your video while I still have power. 4K people immediately to the south of me are in the dark. Multiple Tornadoes hit north and east of me overnight. I am very fortunate at the moment. A tree just came down on my neighbors house! I watch your channel with the “expectations” of what happens, happens and I know I’ll enjoy it 😊 The only one who gets to set schedules and deadlines there is the Admiral 😆
And yet again your a legend so glad to see you staying after it after tough days like that. I feel yah! Back after it tomorrow if you can do it I can do it! Thanks! Love the videos as always
You are amazing in ingenuity, talent, and energy. Many times I have to admit that I doubt what you are doing makes sense but most of the time I have to admit that you either create something valuable or you learn a valuable skill. Just fun to watch you do the battle and be honest about the struggle.
MIKE, the suspense! Sheesh! Tryin to beat the rain? Ain't gonna happen. Gettin the 555 to cooperate? Ain't gonna happen. BUT,... Persistence Pays off for this Project! Good stuff! Carry on Capt'n!
The finished project is going to be EPIC! I always have a great sense of satisfaction and thankfulness when I see a huge project completed and I'm able to enjoy it! I know "the vision" in my mind is what keeps me going. I'm sure it does for you! I'm subscribed to hundreds of channels. I think your videos are in the top 5 I watch but all of them are my favorite. Keep it up Mike. Great Job!
Kleeman Khronikles kontinue.....looks like that blue hammer was on the payroll today.....handy to have that tool around. The pool is taking shape....gonna be a really nice place when it's completed. Keep up the positive attitude and good progress. As always....great channel....great content.
Take your time, make your time, invest your time, but always move forward all the time. It’s going to be sweet when you get this project finished, I would say it gives us both something to look forward to. Always enjoy your videos, thanks for the update.
Man of many talents, now has a new chapter in life, just enjoy what you’re doing, whether it’s right or wrong or if you really not into doing it.Oh well, that’s life.great little video as always.just keep on doing your thing.be safe,no spiders.kudos.😎😎😎👍👍👍
You are one hard working person. Between, your job, your family, and these projects, I don’t know how you keep going. Just don’t burn yourself out, we all enjoy your videos too much. Take care and always remember, you have to take care of yourself, so that you can take care of the others. 😉👍😀
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great to see the progress on the swimming hole. Definitely looked like you made a serious deposit of sweat equity into this episode. How could anyone complain about your progress. Looking forward to seeing its eventual completion when the day comes. Wishing you and your family the best.
Speaking of, they have us on 12/7's and I've been making sure to NOT sit down when I get home. I've been chipping away at my Starlink install for a couple hours the last week and tonight I get to plug it in! Next on the list is finish cutting broken limbs, doing a big service on the zero turn, putting up a new fence, installing the 2 post lift, cleaning the garage....one bite at a time! Keep going fellas! Lol
Great video! I just love the stone! This is just beautiful. So much work. The comments you say crack me up. I hope your family appreciates all your hard work. Thank you.
How people can misconstrue what you don't say is incredible. Now, there are those of us, that know you by now, who can assume by what you are saying, that you don't foresee finishing something in the near future. What you were saying about finishing the pool, was related to all the other projects on hand! We knew you meant of course, just this phase of work, you'd have to be even more of a superman to get done what you have planned in the short time you have what with your what, 4 days off every 9!
I can see you making this Oasis your regular 'sit and relax' home-from-home place to go CK. I recon that many of us will be joining you there, in mind only sadly.
We appreciate you bringing us along Mike, way more than I can say, so thank you for doing this it is looking so cool now, I can't wait till the flatbed is bringing materials for the project up and down the hill.
Always enjoy watching your projects. If you have time, could you give a little update on the chicken / goat barn you made a while back? Even if you haven't done any more work to it, would just like to see how it's holding up. I think it was a really neat project, especially with those windows that were supposed to be up top (did they ever get installed?)
Thanks Mike, fun and interesting video. I envy your flat rocks for wall stacking… but you can keep your Brown Recluse spiders.. I’m north of you in Ontario and with global warming I hope the spiders don’t wander up here. 😊
Keep pluggin! I no longer have youth on my side, so your achievements fill a void (with a coffee in hand). Then my various projects get a few hours of my attention.
LOL
Dang… so embarrassed. I thought he refused to buy battery’s or hydraulic hoses as a comment generator. So sorry…
I personally like the La-Z-boy Morrison. Reclines smooth
TOP JOB FELLAS CHEERS
Moving the camera around for the best shots all the time must slow you down, especially on a day like you were having when you just want to get on. We really appreciate you bringing us along with you. I'm amazed at just how much you get done on your own. Keep up the good work Captain!
💪
love your non-verbal negotiations and arguments with your equipment!!! Both of you being stubborn and hard headed!!!
Me too
No man works harder than you Mike, you are an inspiration and both of your channels are excellent.
Appreciate the kind words!
Appreciate ya watching

I can honestly say that your videos always make me laugh and smile. I hope that you keep up with the amazing content.
💪
Captain is pushing through and getting things done!!!!! 💪👍
Thanks!
Love every minute of this show, pace yourself, it’s a marathon but can’t wait to see end result.
I have never thought of a splitting maul as a multi tool, but very impressed with its flexibility
Pretty handle

I LIKE your Attitude (sp?) towards your work !! Like all of your projects !
Love the variety of your projects, keep up the good work. I bet your washer takes a beating with the dirt, concrete and grease.
It's not always easy. but keep the vision of the end of the project. Looking forward to your next video. 🤠
I never thought you would get it completely done. Satisfaction comes from application of force over time. A lot of satisfaction ahead I would guess.
Looks like a great workout, moving all those rocks getting them where they need to be!!
Hi Mike & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mike & Friends Randy
Lol
Great job Mike, hang in there buddy. I understand your feelings about projects sometimes can get the best of you. But I know you will conquer!!!
Good morning Mike!
Your doing one heck of a nice build. Unbelievable the work you can do on your own, totally amazing . 24:36
Great video! I just love the stone! This is just beautiful. So much work. The comments you say crack me up. I hope your family appreciates all your hard work. Thank you.
We had those days re-doing our back yard. But, it is really nice now and we enjoy it. Hard work pays off.
Good going Mike love to see your vision and how it is progressing
Appreciate ya watching
@@CaptainKleeman I wish I lived near you I would be over with my John Deere getting it dirty
Another amazing video. I so wish I was still able to do this kind of work. Enjoyed.
It's always a good day when you can realize accomplishment is more important than comfort. 😂
Great one Captain, just keep pugging along and it will get better or at least over!
Looking good. We can sure tell you're not afraid of hard work. Good luck with all your endeavors.
It matters not, how fast you go, so long as you do not stop😊. Hang in there!
💪
I really enjoy your videos, Mike!
This is such a great project! Loving it!
I can see you making this Oasis your regular 'sit and relax' home-from-home place to go CK. I recon that many of us will be joining you there, in mind only sadly.
🇨🇦✨👍🏼 Great determination , work and advice. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏼. 🇨🇦 Eric from north shore of Montreal, Canada 👋🏼✨
We appreciate you bringing us along Mike, way more than I can say, so thank you for doing this it is looking so cool now, I can't wait till the flatbed is bringing materials for the project up and down the hill.
This project is looking good and coming along nicely. Remember that slow and steady wins the race.
Some days are tougher than others, but you manage to make it through it, but you don’t have much choice, I enjoy your humor
You livin’ in a rain forest now? ⛈️
Captain I love your vision and work ethic! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks Mike, fun and interesting video.
I envy your flat rocks for wall stacking… but you can keep your Brown Recluse spiders.. I’m north of you in Ontario and with global warming I hope the spiders don’t wander up here. 😊
It's looking great. Keep up the good work!
Your doing great Mike steady as she goes 👍
Keep pluggin! I no longer have youth on my side, so your achievements fill a void (with a coffee in hand). Then my various projects get a few hours of my attention.
You do like hard work.
