To be honest i don't think i have one favorite stance. However i am switching on and off between dual wielded and single blade stance while not turning off double bladed stance ever, cuz i keep it in case of big crowds or bosses.
If you look at the cut scenes and the qte or kill animations the game is desgin about single saber. Sometimes its really emerscion breaking to see a parry and my second lightsaber is gone.
@@jasonstimson6617 I went with double blade for the beginning but only because generally you are fighting more than one thing at a time, so it’s good for aoe.
I’m surprised how few people seem to like the double bladed stance. It’s my absolute favorite. There’s no better feeling than taking out 10+ enemies instantly by reflecting multiple blaster shots with one parry. The agility and AOE attacks are just so good against groups. I do find the need to switch to a different stance for one on one vs tough enemies/mini bosses, but I mostly run into groups with my double bladed mowing them down.
I've exclusively used the double blade throughout my playthrough and I find it incredibly viable in nearly all situations. It's such a huge improvement over the first game and I really don't find myself struggling even against powerful single enemies. It's only flaw is a significant wind-up time for most of its attacks but it's not too difficult of a drawback to work around. In addition, the combat animations for the double blade are just too badass. The flips you do on pressing or holding X on your final default attack in addition to the corkscrew jump, saber throws, etc. are so cool. I think it's probably the most fun stance to use in the game.
@@Tynami22 oh absolutely. It’s incredible against large groups which is so much fun. I’ve had to really master how to use it in 1 on 1s vs tough enemies, but the more I figure it out the more fun it gets and you can actually do it very successfully which then it also looks incredible. My second fight with Dagan and my fight with Rayvis were absolute spectacles. I wish I had recorded them. Not to mention I also wear the wanderer outfit, a bronze, silver, and black rubber hilt, and a yellow blade. It’s just beautiful imo
Some of the blaster carrying encounters seem impossible without it. I usually run Crossguard but always keep double bladed for when blaster bolts start flying Rayvis phase two I beat with the double bladed, he has that shoot and charge attack that he will stop if you perry his shots. For any blaster heavy boss the double bladed is the best option
I preferred single in the first game (hit harder), but I'm finding the rapid attacks of dual-wield improve your defence because you're able to rapidly strike then switch rapidly into dodging or parrying.
Those two reflections are slightly different. Single's can parry two inbound shots in rapid succession into reflection attacks, while dual wield's lets you split one shot into two reflection attacks. They start different, but end in a similar manner.
Blaster stance is easily my favorite, it’s ridiculously strong in duels, the blaster is great chip damage against larger beasts, the stun bolt makes taking out crowds super easy, it’s nearly perfect
@@L10N. I like using blaster stance and double bladed, I like to imagine cal just has a double bladed lightsaber and a blaster that he can pull out when he needs to
Blaster is my fav at the moment, and not because of the blaster. The blade attacks all have great range and move the character forward with each attack, it's very reminisent of the beast hunters saif from bloodborne where it's specifically geared to keeping up the pressure and keeping you moving.
Thx for the tips. My favorite stances are duel and double, primarily more so the duel. And then my AlterNet/2nd stance is the cross guard. It’s tricky and can be situational but for certain bosses and situation’s and good understanding of usage… It can be really powerful and fun.
I Defeated the Spawn of Oggdo with double bladed Saber.. don't sleep on that stance.. does tons of damage and just by holding X does alot of Hits and breaks guard easily!
I feel like dual wields counter ability is useless if you just spend 3 points in sirvival and get the counter ability to the right side of the tree, you can avoid red attacks with it too
Real Talk; _My only gripe with Fallen Order was that Healing was like .5 of a second to slow. _*_Having a perk which speeds that up?!_*_ Tickles me in all the right places._
I wish changing stances flowed better, I use cross guard and the double lightsaber. If it was a smoother process it would be so much more fun and enjoyable to use both stances together in combat😊
my favorite stance is actually the one with the blaster because i really like the moveset and the range of it. Many enemys die after 1 shot and u can spam bigger enemys to death when they have low hp so u dont have to risk being hit while try to break their guard
It seems i headed in the right direction on my own. I ended up focusing on dual wield and the crossguard. I maxxed my health skills line and confusion. So there you go.
I recommend saving all your skill points in the very beginning to get Howling Push then use that to farm skill points at the Damn in Koboh by pushing the Mogu off the ledge.
Don't sleep on the downslam AoE skill. It lets you stun all enemies of all sizes and gives you a window to dish out riskless damage. I used it to destroy the 8 DT Sentry Droids at the end of the ISB base without tapping into the dark side, and I only used 3 stims on Grandmaster.
I find double blade absolutely amazing in boss fights, if the boss blocks they lose all their stamina almost immediately, if they don’t their health melts, makes any 1v1 fight a joke, my favorite is still crossguard but, single, double blade, and blaster are all close to taking favorite
I'm currently maxing out Double Bladed, then I'll start putting points in Blaster stance. Hated Double Bladed in Fallen order, but in Survivor it has been wonderful at taking out groups of enemies. I reallly wanted to like Dual Wielding, but it just wasn't for me.
I'd advise against purchasing the final blaster skill, the dead eye knockoff. If only because it overwrites the block + shoot command, its very helpful being able to block and build up a charge shot. Especially with ambidextrous and marksmanship perks equipped
The single power aerial strike breaks stamina usually one hits melee enemies and good for boss dmg. Beat the frogs and rancors with blaster and single (aerial power strike)
Favourite: cross-guard, although not the best in some situations, it deals the most damage, staggers easily and your block meter doesn’t deplete as quick I think
3:05 you just said a bunch of BS, its better than all other stances at dealing damage and is excellent against creatures and blocking enemies. Against single enemies just hold square when attacking
I love the single blade personally :) But i haven't unlocked the blaster or crossguard yet XD i wish they hadn't given us a choice in the difficulty options :3 - takes the "souls like" off the table for me personally :3
Is deflecting multiple blaster bolts in quick succession much harder and makes you just block for no reason or is that just me? I happen to like dual wielding, because I love the fast pace of it. Blaster is too weak for me, crossguard too slow, and double bladed isn’t really all that effective imo. Single blade is ok, but twofold reflection actually doesn’t work on Xbox S for some reason.
Curious what other people are using for stances if you're playing on grand master. Been using blaster with double blade and have enjoyed how they changed double blade but I'm so used to the single blade from the first game that I'm having trouble finding a good alternative. Blaster is good but seems like it's lacking something (maybe just need to upgrade), cross guard is a little too slow for me, and I hate the force move for dual wielding.. any recommendations for something to replace the single blade from first game?
just use the single blade my boy it’s better than cross guard , it’s not as good as blaster but if u don’t like it use single . it’s probably the best behind double sided and blaster
I play grandmaster and I really like the duel wield cause Of the aggression. I keep the double bladed as my second for defensive purposes like reflecting a larg amount of blaster shots.
Everyone is so hyped saying omg confusion is the sole reason to play this game. Imo confusion is probaby the worst skill in the game, bc u get no xp form anything the person u manipulate does. Imagine gihting a duo of really hard bosses and u confuse one of them and he kills the other, u just lost out on half your xp gain.... yeah fk that
Single blade - Not as good and hard to use but makes u feel like a pure jedi Double Blade - hella fast, mad dps, just super good. Rare too as its not often Jedi use a duel blade Duel wield - also super fun but not as good im dps i found, super good for defence for some reason Blaster - easy, safe but its star wars, we want sabers, as much lightsabers possible😂 Crossguard- (havent used yet) seems pretty phat dps possibility and fun ti use, defence not as good so i would assume its harder to use compared to Duel Blade. Also exhaust
Not being able to see what you could unlock is some really bad game design, whoever designed that part of the game has never played a game with skill trees.
Sick and tired of all these youtubers saying single stance is just meh, no mate it's the best stance, better than dual wield, if you haven't figured it out yet your not playing single properly, not only that but it has the biggest variety of moveset with square input attacks and triangle force attacks, dual wields good but the triangle ability is slow and meh, even if activating it with the jump. Blaster Stance can piss off, force users DO NOT use blasters so f**k that stance, it makes no god damn sense at all. Double bladed is amazing again if you know how to use it properly. Crossguard is fun, like holding a claymore just too slow for me.
What's your favourite stance?
Honestly it's the blaster one, simply because you get a gun.
Crossguard. My one true love is the claymore in dark souls
Are u happy being early alpha tester for 70$?
To be honest i don't think i have one favorite stance. However i am switching on and off between dual wielded and single blade stance while not turning off double bladed stance ever, cuz i keep it in case of big crowds or bosses.

I actually really like regular old single stance quite a bit.
Awesome! I preferred it in fallen order, but I like other stances here.
Me too
If you look at the cut scenes and the qte or kill animations the game is desgin about single saber. Sometimes its really emerscion breaking to see a parry and my second lightsaber is gone.
In fallen order I loved single. Double here is just to OP not to use for me, the party is so extremely overpowered.
