Shropshire is lovely, especially it's history. What you call bracken, we call fern's. Just grows on the hedgegrow in Ireland. It's not invasive in the West of Ireland. It's like an ornamental plant. Different soil.
Apparently, bracken is very similar to fern , the difference is in the stem. And it’s very invasive. I’ve got fern in my garden which just arrived, of its own accord, I never planted it but it’s very welcome to stay as it’s just grown a little bigger and healthier looking It’s certainly not taking over.
I loved that 1st house as well. When i saw the kitchen and living room of house 2, i was a bit conflicted due to the extra space but the upstairs of house 1 was better plus house 2 was more expensive and didn't have an outbuilding. The mystery house was gorgeous and was the cheapest, it had a big beautiful master bedroom and the kitchen & living room was gorgeous as well but it had a carport, not a garage, only 2 bedrooms and the garden was too small.
Best “travel and history “ channel ever. Love it

Your bracken is called Fern's and our native species is called Gorse. The latter makes great wine and mead. From the West Coast of Ireland.
The fist house better
