There is a stunning overlap of the tree - over the twin pillars of Notre Dame cathedral. I wish that I'd been familiar with the Etz Chaim when I visited the cathedral two years ago. The Rose window corresponds to Tiphereth, is of course, the middle pillar was represented by the (destroyed and rebuilt) spire. I adore your channels and PDFs - I am building quite a little library.
Hello Joy. Thank you for posting your lessons on TH-cam. Would you be able to advise me on the best computer software for creating visual images of the pathway portals (Archway colours, Tarot cards, Hebrew letters etc) Many Thanks.
Hi Knackernut! Nice to hear from you. You're welcome! I'm happy to make these videos available. Four things: 1. I can't really recommend any software -- I use GIMP and have for many years. It's free. I've never actually used anything else, so I can't compare. 2. Remember that visualizing the image is the most important thing. I'm not a great visualizer, so I can assure you that you don't need top skills to get the job done. But of course, as I said in the video, creating an image can help you get started and help you keep all the symbols clear. 3. For the colors, I refer to Lelandra.com (www.lelandra.com/tarotbook/TreeofLifeColors.htm). The 10 sephiroth use the Queen scale colors, while the 22 paths use the Atziluth colors (these are marked at the top of the columns on the color grid). To get the hex code for each color, right click on the color you want and choose "Inspect" from the bottom of the drop down menu. That opens a complicated looking panel of computer code, but toward the top of that panel the color hex code you want is highlighted. 4. There are a variety of fonts available that have the Hebrew letters and astrological glyphs. I think that should get you started. :) One last thing -- I might be doing a year-long program on Tarot Pathworking on the Tree of Life. If you are interested in signing up for the program, you can join my email newsletter list, joyvernon.com/newsletter/ Good luck!
@@JoyVernonAstrologyTarotReiki Thank you very much for taking the time to respond and pass on those helpful details. I know what you mean about visualising. In my case, I think that i'm actually pretty good at it - I can visualise almost anything except what i'm supposed to! (monkey mind - I suppose) I also have to thank you for helping me discover this path. I saw you in an interview on astrology podcast, liked what you had to say, and the rest is (quite recent) history. At present I'm working through 'Paths of Wisdom' and two more books you recommended, hastily acquiring new pencils and drawing equipment to do some of the 'homework'. One thing that I am starting to find out is how much I don't actually know, so for me at the moment it's a case of 'festina lente' and 'same same' ( and see where it goes) Thanks again.
I was a little upset when you said that the drawing you were presenting was drawn incorrectly (you said "the top was supposed to be open"! What does that mean?) I am here to learn, not guess.
I believe you're referring to 06:38 in the video, when I mention that the top circle is sometimes depicted as open, not closed. For this information, I'm pulling from author John Michael Greer. In some of his books, such as Learning Ritual Magic, the illustration shows the top circle closed, but the text states that you start at the top with a semi-circle, then draw three more circles. In Paths of Wisdom, the illustrations have been updated to show the open circle at the top joyvernon.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Screenshot-2024-11-21-080648.png Not very many teachers share this information, and I seldom see the top circle open. This is a fairly minor detail and not relevant to the topic of the video. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it at all. However, there are several reasons why it makes more sense for the top circle to be open, primarily because it receives the influx from the Divine above. Moreover the top circle starts in the Unmanifest, where there is no form. More reasons will come to you if you meditate on the symbol. Thanks for a great question!
Isnt path working naught but simply life? The hero's journey, the donkey that carried Mary to bethlehem. Though life is a meditation if one cares to think of it in that manor
About 40 minutes in before pertinent information is brought up…and most of the video is composed of “and….um…uh…um…and….uh…” instead of the information, which is hardly focused on.
Thanks! Your channel deserves a lot more views. Love the very clear explanations!
Thank you! I would love to get more views---comments like this help a lot! I appreciate you!
I love incorporating this video into my study of the tree, and I know I'm gonna keep coming back to it numerous times. Really useful spreads here!
That's great to hear! Thank you!
Thanks for directing me to " The Tarot - A Key to the to the wisdom of the ages"
It's a great book!
If you add Daath it's 33 paths
33 is a magical number
Right now, I'm doing path working on the Qliphoth as a form of shadow work.
This sounds interesting @@jasonfields7964
My Tarot mentor taught Tarot, teaching one card a week, 22 weeks!
